Thanks frank for the video. Also appreciated you listed the prices. I had a 67 Coronet same colour 4 door with the slant 6 back around 1981. Was a good car. What a neat collection of vehicles. You did a great job of recording and commenting on everything.
@@MikeFrankovich Nice to see those old cars even in their shape. Better than crushed for scrap. I wish I would have recorded some of the local auctions with cars around here. The next ones will be posted for sure.
I'm quite a bit older than you and glad to see someone younger that still sees value in old metal. If I had to pick it would of been the 63 ford galaxy four speed four twenty seven car. I had a few and miss all of them but as favorite cars went, I really liked the 57 ford fairlane tudor as they had the narrow back window pillar. I had one that inherited a large 406 FE engine with four speed and ran at the track. It was light, fast and bullet proof for lesser statements. He must of had a corner on ford vans and chevy corvairs as that actually was a really good engine with other problems that made them not so popular... I owned the spider for a while with a tripower system. No heat tho and washington state in the winter wouldn't fly. Nice job and hope that you continue these walkabouts. I know the in's and out's of most cars shown. That fury looks a lot the one that Scott rebuilt in "Cold War Motors" in canada... check out his channel for a whole different perspective on life terms. So my words to you are stay hydrated and keep em coming
That 1963 galaxie has a Low Riser 427 Top / Center Oiler . All 427s were Low Riser Top / Center Oilers until 1965 when the Mid Riser, Side Oiler began production. A High Riser Duel 4 Barrel Side Oiler was available only in the 1966-67 R code Fairlane 500
I used to live out there in Lucerne Valley, There's a few people that have Property with old cars on them. You never know what you're gonna find thanks for sharing I know I'm rather late to the party.. Enjoyed the video look forward to hear from you by for now can
That crazy Kaiser is one of about 1200 made. It's like a hatchback/ short station wagon sedan. See the big hinge in the center ? The hatch goes up and a truck like / wagon tailgate folds down.
I so hope most of those vehicles got saved. It is better than any art gallery guided tour that I have been on. Each van or car has its own silent tales of happy holidays or an abandoned custom job. My imagination is firing on all cylinders. Sitting here fascinated and nearly an hour has flown by. Thank you -and good luck in all you do.
frequency flux fandango I’m sure they were saved since they brought good money for the family that was selling them. I did message one guy who bought one of the sixties Ford vans. Apparently it started with a jump and he drove it on and off his trailer.
Nice place! It was a real Ford Econoline haven. I would have loved to have gone there as I own a '67 Econoline van that I need another for a few parts. Mine is rare in that it has loading double doors on both side's. Was ordered that way by the American Cancer society. I'm 3rd owner. Good video⚠️
I like old cars that's unrestored, there's just something about unrestored cars that interest me. The fact they've never been touch since new, makes them more original.
as a rampside owner, i got a kick out of jay lenos show when he reviewed his project..." and thats how you put 50k into 10 thousand dollar truck!"...hopefully i will never sell mine...a lot of rust though, may not last long
Jay actually knew my father and he got a few bikes from my old shop. When my dad passed he stopped by to see what we had to sell. The only thing he wanted was the Rampside. He hauled it back to his garage with a tractor since we were a few blocks away.
$41,000 is far too much in that galaxies condition . 7 months ago I paid $51,176.81 tax & transport includes for a 37,651 original miles 1963 galaxie 500 427/ Duel 4 Barrel / 4 speed survivor. That looks brand new. They are out there .
at 44:23 there is an AMC round headlight white truck. I live in Palmdale and have a 2 dr Cherokee with the 'UGLY' square 80's headlights. if you know how to reach or the address so I can go there myself, could you tell me where this places address???
I could make a killer hot rod out of that Fairlane station wagon! 800$ is all?????? I have been shopping for a 60's Ford wagon for a long time and have not found one with the right price/condition.
Can any of you Lucerne Valley residents answer a question for me? I know that this is about Classic Cars, but I have a friend who lives in California and he has told me about a terrifying snake that is found in the desert, mainly in the LUCERNE VALLEY area called the LEESIE SNAKE. My friend said that the locals live in fear of this HIGHLY venomous and dangerous predator. I have an interest in snakes and other reptiles but I can not find any information on the LEESIE SNAKE. My friend assures me that he isn't playing any jokes on me and that this terrifying creature really does exist. Thanks for any input.
Most of the cars that are bought from here will probably end up in the corner of some one else's yard or garage and put on the back burner and eventually sold again...
Sorry about the wind? How about sorry about your face?!! You don’t have to film yourself when you talk. No complaints about your voice or the desert wind.
I love your program but that is State sale that you went to got a lot of junk looks more like a junkyard than a in the state sale they must be a lot of stupid people buying crap out there

What do you think the best deal was? Let me know in the comments.
My favorite car was the 49-50 4 door Packard beside the Oldsmobile.
How many people where bidding $5,000 for something that wouldn't even start?
The late fifties mopar push button automatic transmission. Big fins man here

Gotta love them old cars. Back when you could tell a Dodge from a Chevy from an Oldsmobile from a Ford. Some real nice finds that needed saving. 👍
The corvera wagon and the Econoline short van
Like the boogie vans! So much to film. My grandfather had a opel wagon just like that one.
I drove out there on Sunday with my wife and had a great day out there road-tripping.
Really good video. Thanks!! Loved the 60 plymouth. Rare!!

thanks for sharing. Sure, hope some of those get saved. As for the rest, it needs to go to the recycler.
The only thing missing there in that junkyard is a crushing machine
great video do you ever find 57 58 59 ford skyliner cars
There are a lot of places in Texas that have old places like this as well, so treasure is for the finders. From amazon, car hop trays stay safe.
damn them are some great buys!!!i live in the rust belt of michigan.those are gold up here and worth 2 too 3 times as much as they sold at auction.

Buy something running is the best advice.
Sometimes I like to roll the dice and buy something that last ran thirty plus years ago. Makes for a great story

The Chevy Tin Woody, all the early flat front vans, and all the Corvairs, especially the Greenbriers and Lakewood wagons.

From the little I saw of it looked great, no damage, no rust, paint was not even faded.
