The best part of the whole video is the comically large binding post wrench. That's to make you feel that spending an ungodly amount of money on ridiculous electronics is worth it. When you see that Hi-Res Audiophile grade binding post wrench you realize it was worth every penny. Using any other type of wrench or tool for the binding posts on these amps will void the warranty. If you ever lose your wrench you will need to have a trained tech come to your home to connect or disconnect your speakers. If you want to order a replacement wrench the wait time is currently 5 to 6 years. Each wrench is handcrafted and aged for 48 months in an oxygen free chamber to ensure it is Hi-Res Audiophile grade.
This is a really comical situation. With a steampunk design with a funny wrench, the manufacturer replaces the presentation of honest technical characteristics.
@@tothemax324 I highly doubt if a majority of self -made millionaires would spend so much for a highly depreciating asset (50% depreciation in year one is what I've seen)... Studies have shown true multimillionaires actually live very modest lifestyles in order to save / invest $$$ over decades... There are always exceptions tough... It would be interesting to know how many units are sold annually. It's a very niche market.
Reminds me of going to a customers home where martin Logan Monilith s were installed with the Cables that came with the VCR they owned, a 1980s integrated pre out to a Nice power amp. Replaced it wit Sunfire Signature amp and Tube Preamp and all Tara Labs Cables. Much Better. I recognize these are demos of hookups but please use the best cables, commensurate with the amps you are demoing. Those things are enormous. Id love to see a video of an actual install at a custome home or your showroom.
The 3 eyelet power cord would be embarrassing on a $500 amp. That’s some parts house eyelets, crimped on 12g wire.. not even use a little bit of shrink wrap. Nope. Let’s just machine a billet cover, and make a custom wrench. This is a “no expense spared” luxury item, and that’s what y’all came up with? Full disclosure I drool over this stuff, and very likely to never be able to own one, but that imagine is now burned in my head, and I’ll never be able to think of this brand without thinking about that cable. Now I fully realize it works perfectly fine, but is this brand based around the mindset of “works perfectly fine”?
I absolutely could make a nicer cable. I’m sure you can too. So now we have a couple normal guys that can make a nicer essential component than d’agastino does for their $350,000 home stereo amp. Point well made, sir.
If it's supposed to be fitted by the user, it's reasonable to assume this is illegal to sell in some jurisdictions. Electric safety concerns. That power cable certainly has no CE approval.
What concerns could you have with a connection that is more secure than any standard power cord ever could be … especially with a metal protective cover plate to boot …LOL !
Electronics development, testing. High quality manufacturing. Marketing, demonstrations to clients. Excellent customer service. Low production counts. That's why they cost a lot. Rare high quality masterpiece. Their team also need to make a living and get a decent profit margin to stay afloat reliably.
Mr Dan, makes them ..design them and markets them ..but he does not say best available - old longtime fan he designs start of the Art amps, and puts them out there. does not boost best in the world - reviews offer their opinion and always favorable, i have a pair of 400 evolution and love them ..last design from Krell would I buy yes if I could :]
Power Cable: It is the bare minimum because they know the owner is going to replace it. They just need to be able to turn on and work for the installation. It's no different than any other amp from $2,500 on up. Nobody is keeping that power cord.
the power cord installation, it has real potential to provide a human with deadly electrical shock! such works is only allowed for professionals! Are you really exposing your customers to such a danger?
Yeah you can connect a few wires to it and that's fun to watch, but then why not just hook it up to some music and let it play for several minutes to possibly allow people to hear it. And get your impressions otherwise what's the point
We can connect you with a nearby dealer to experience these audio masterpieces in person! Hearing them through a computer or phone won't do their true sound justice. Let us know if you're interested, and we'll make it happen!
Those amps sound magnificent. I am already very happy with my Progression S350, which sounds great, and am now after a test I am trying to reach up for the momentum. And I am told the difference between the momentum and two of those is huge. Too bad that unless I win big I will not get them.
Ridiculous. Dan makes them because he knows the old addage...audiophool. He knows that the more expensive he makes it the more desirable it will be. Whether is sounds good is another matter entirely. Remember, Krell is where he learned this lesson.

Cool. I got theese a couple month ago and now i can finally turn them on. Thank you!
Whoever is willing to pay for these beasts truly deserves them. Because as they say, there’s one born every minute.
A millionaire is not born every minute

@@tothemax324 True, but foolish suckers are.
Thats me😀
I was just about to buy one until I saw the Home Depot power cable.
And why such ill fitting speaker line connectors?
A snake oil amp... Hypex Ncore-X offecrs better performance for a 20th of the price and weight...
And about 1/25th of the power draw.
Bello/Magnifico.🔥✡️✡️✡️✡️✡️✡️💘🌡️🍾💪
Just the best in the world. I need them.
Are the ringlets on the Ac power cord made of solid Rhodium?
The ac wires look like 12g Romex.
"Romex" was the first thing that fell out of my mind.

I have a few concerns about the ac connection especially for countries in Europe that have stringent electrical regulations

Insane and dream amplification
The amount of pearl clutching in the comments is funny AF 😂
Hate & jealousy still seems to be the most common characteristic of audiophile’s today judging by all these comments…shame really ..
Priced for fools. Wake up, you can do much better for far less.
This thing isn't about audio though, it's all about money spending and status, so yeah that "hate & jealousy" you see is 100% legitime here.
Branding has been the main driver in this brand all in the name of maximum profits imo
Build quality is first rate.

Oh dear a 5dollar cord on a 5million dollar amp.😮
It's just a demo..... Don't get so butt hurt about it.
Great sound, but the pimpy bling look is gaudy, I wouldn’t own it🙈.
C'est du costaud cet ampli mono 😮
How stupid is the mainstream connection for the price of the unit
Won't power 20.7s 😮
I jest, bring it babe 😊

Just buy a Rolex lol
Cool but a bit stupid gimmics...
Those are some shity ass power lines. Beats the purpose of huge speaker cables.
Only 350k each a bargain;)
Pair
An even better bargain!
LOL
That thing is huge and ugly. I thought it was an April Fools joke at first.
Ridiculous audiophool "hi-end" status symbol duly noted as such.
