Archer/horse works for me… I play Abbasid. If I think they are rushing me, I’ll build tower with horse and archer, keep fight around the tower and flank zhu zi archer with horses before their spears catch me. Won’t always catch them all but it keeps them at bay and buys time. Need to keep your horsemen alive tho
Great guide, excited for a macro build in the future. Are the imperial age spear and horsemen fire lance upgrades bugged? I’ve only played one game but I don’t feel like the upgrade was applied
@beastyqt is it possible to build AGE 3 building first and whilst still being in the Tang dynasty to then build the second "song" dynasty landmark. Id need to test this ingame but technically you could start building the second feudal landmark before finishing the castle landmark and changing dynasties :O So Dark Age > Feudel 1Landmark > Start Castle Landmark > Start Feudal 2 Landmark > Finish Castle > Enter Song Dynasty.
Yes. If you are still in tang at the start of the construction the price is cheaper. Either way. Starting with your age 3 landmark or starting on going into song dynasty, you will pay less. Super nice for getting a fast castle two TC/ song dynasty timing.
i try , i dont know again...maybe depeding by civs. vs some civs probably are better other build order *fast castle or 2 tc than 1 tc all in. agaisnt other civs is better than zhu ge nu china attack if add second variation with horsemen but if you fail all in without song is more hard recovery ...so i think is more all in situation anyway i think when people start a new civ is usefull have the more aggressive build order as quick start and adjust it with exsperience.
I fought zhug nu today. I went with 5 6 soldiers from bhazar ayubids. The enemy had less army bit killed my units. Later even with archers horseman, I could not fight his zhug nu. Not sure how he kept that economy and amount of soldiers. I haven't watched yet but damn. It seems I was at a slow paced compared to him
aoe4 shaolin monks broken beyond belief Cost only food (to best food producing nation in game) Out trade DRAGON spearmen/ archers/horsemen/knights ONE TO ONE Can have a TRIPLE heal (if u take monks plus the imeprial age landmark) it is something like 9hp per second CAN STEAL EVERY BASES RELICS INSTANTLY If u spam them only plus 5 nest of bees there is no army that can survive it. You don't need hardly any vills as u have such insane dps (attack every 0.75s) The WORST THING is they can move in a team of 120 easily and steal all the relics in every player base as well

The villagers drop the Wood at the Mill once its finnished (which is being supervised), this allows you to afford building a village and a mining camp without chopping more wood.

Yes it's the "bald build" which Beasty has pioneered but he is only showing 1TC rush builds for now.

No because if you get rushed (early MAA, longbows, Khan, Byzantine Horsemen, Shinobi, etc) you're dead because you've got no cover to put the vils in.
