They don't know each other, are different ages, and have all told me similar stories, so I can tell you it is in fact evil, there are gate keepers, casting couches, private parties, expectations of favors, etc. I can't speak for everyone in the industry so I'm not generalizing, but saying there is in fact much evil in that industry, which I cannot go into or my comment will get deleted.
