What a ripper bro, well done getting 100 on the stock electronics and 104001 wheels &tyres , pity it lost range but that's inevitable with the stock tx. Have a good weeknd bro thumbs up!🍻🇦🇺 👍
These high speed runs are cool and its fun to modify the cars I love the hobby And I am not referring to this video in particular but all speed run videos, its kind of "not" the same model anymore in a way after you change the physical appearance of it. Upgrading the electronics is a given, but when you add 2 batteries, cap pack, larger body, widers tires its just not the same model you kind of create your own special model. I think a true high speed run for the stock version of the model should be done just by modifying the gearing and or smaller tires then let her rip!
That's right this is stock out of the box just running a 3s lipo and it's a load of fun 👌 you can really see the speed as it overtakes the truck driving by on the higher road
3s and completely stock if running on 3s to protect the electronics keep the run time to a minimum and it will be fine 👍 the ESC probably will fail before the motor
Very Good job Dan❤ Some people might thing it's easy to control such a small RC and "those speeds" (compared with the ones you already reached), but that's not so easy. Amazing Work RC Master👌😎 Regarding the car well, you know I'm not a bug fan of that 1/12 Body layout ,(lazy job from wltoys), bit I think that with that Electronic Pack is the best that we can get for the price, and definitely the version to buy for who doesn't wanna mess on mods and take the car to almost every surface 👌 BTW, it became way better Good looking with those second tires Layou👍😎
Luis Simões thanks mate much appreciated , yeah I was quite surprised by the performance of the stock electronics speed wise. Unfortunately due to the high speed set up it suffers from cogging but hey most people kinda know what their getting by now when it comes to these low budget RC's. Most of the time they will require some modifications to be best suited to the user. That's where the fun begins 😎
Is the rc car cogging out of the box? A lot of people having this cogging issue, just wondering if your Wltoys 124017 has same issue or you fix the issue any info will help, good video👍🏻
Thanks mate, Yes there is some cogging it's alot more noticeable in my previous video, the biggest issue is the tall gearing ratio, the best way to fix it is to replace the ESC to something with tunability for the punch settings. In my next video I run a 1/10 castle ESC and it doesn't cog at all.
I’m completely new to RC cars so this is my first car. What do I need to make it this fast? And what battery and connector do I need? I don’t speak RC, like I said I am completely new to this. Lol! Thanks!
@@matred3538 you aint a kidding i got some better higher discharge rating batteries for my drone and they last longer and perform better. I was using a smaller turnigy that was like 50% smaller and it lasted 2x longer than some chinese battery that was rated double the MAH
Hi my name is Piero, forgive my English, but I use a translator. I wanted to ask you a question? How did you mount the wltoys 104001 wheels, on wltoys 124017? The hubs are short and the bolt cannot be screwed. I bought the hubs 104001 but they are too large and do not fit into the bearings. Can you help me? Thanks in advance hello
What size 3s batteries do you run in this , I just ordered a v2 , I'm gonna stock up on some 3s batteries till it arrives .. any issues with electronics since these videos ?
It's a stock radio with the top handle removed and antenna cable exposed, I done my lipo mod to the the transmitter but it wasn't enough. Next run on 4s with be with my futaba with range booster 👌😎
Where are ya at brother, MK is kicking butt. I have 4 coming, 3 twin builds, but 1 is a twin stock brushed motors geared up a little, and a twin 2838 build which isn't gonna break any records, the other 2 will break 100 mph I'm pretty sure. Take care!
Hey bro , decided to take a break from RC a few months back as I was no longer in a position to keep putting as much as I was Into the channel. Mainly the difficulty to get parts to Australia was really taking the fun out of it for me. I basically decided to stop promoting anything anymore at my expense since no one could even offer me a discount. I was getting bad customer service and sent dodgy parts by companies I was going out of my way promoting. It was causing me huge amounts of stress waiting so long and continuously being let down. I decided I had to let it go take a break for my health. We have also had a freak weather event the last few months "La Nina" it's a 1in 8 year extreme wet season. There are daily storms and heavy rain for a few months straight. We were flooded in with no way out and no electricity for over a week. So that was a pain in the ass. I'll be back out soon just not as competitive now, mainly for fun and to finally use my cars again.
@@TheRCMaster That's why I haven't been out running, the weather has been crazy here too. I have 4 to run, and will drop a video soon to at least show my plans at least, the weather seems to be clearing so I can do something. I'm looking forward to seeing you jump back in when your ready. Didn't you run 3s on a 3.5 turn motor? Mk has 119mph on 2s stock gears, can't you make 1 pass on 3s with that motor? Well bro, y'all take care, and stay safe.
@@TheRCMaster I have purchased the 144001, now waiting to get body 124019 for swap chassis the esc on 144001 is to way hot, need upgrading brushless system🥺
To me stock gearing means box stock, but i get it. Put a monster motor/esc and a bigger battery on stock gearing does mean faster speeds than box stock everything. Not saying or trying to down talk your speeds. Next step get it to 100 mph.
That's very cheap for what it is. It's all relevant, if it was $157 for a chocolate bar then it would be expensive but for a ready to run rc car that goes 40mph straight out the box It's a good price

Thanks mate! Yeah just got the 100 👌🤣 thanks for watching man and I hope you have a good weekend also 🍺
Thanks for sharing Sir👍👍👍👍
This is such an underrated channel! really amazing content man!
Thanks alot mate , I really appreciate the encouragement!
I drilled a small hole in the upper part of the body and threaded the antenna wire out and now the range is fantastic! You can try. Great video.
This is crazy!
Thanks for watching!
So recomended RC car , with the cheap rc car
These are a great Xmas present idea, very fast and so cheap!
Yeah man not a bad entry level RC car for speed runs, would be a mint pressy for Christmas 👌
Thats awesome dude, good to see you back! 👍
Yeah man pretty I'm quite impressed with this thing stock it absolutely hammers on 3s, Thanks for watching dude 😎 👍
Wow bro 😳 100km 😱 on stock 😳 great speed runs and a great video 👍😎👍
Can’t wait to see it hit 4s bro!
Yeah bro, it's going to be gnarly 😅😎

You just proved that you don't need to pump loads of $£€s into your rc to make it fast

Did you have to modify the battery tray to fit the china hobby line battery?
No it's a direct fit mate
Did you make any other modifications to the car? Or just put the 3s? Do you think this in the long run can strain the car's engine? hugs brother😃
3s and completely stock if running on 3s to protect the electronics keep the run time to a minimum and it will be fine 👍 the ESC probably will fail before the motor
Hello, over time, this 124017 with the 2200 3S 25C ? lipo has worked correctly, has it not presented damage or overheating ? Thank you for your reply
As always nice speeds, now you can make it go faster 👊🏻👍🏻
Thanks mate and you know it! 🤣
Please what battery did u use???? Got my version 2 now need a 3s battery
Very Good job Dan❤

Castle creations , mamba monster pro, and for 6s a mamba monster 2
Are those 104001 tires sir?
Yes mate to get higher top speed on the stock set up the larger 104001 wheels worked for speed but made the handling worse

Can you post a link to the wheels/tyres, as I have been looking for larger than stock 72mm. Many thanks
Was the 100 km/h reached only with a standard Lipo 3S?
Stock tires and eletronics?
100 kph was with slightly larger than stock tires and 3s lipo , the stick lipo is only 2s
Bloody good for stock on 3s. Just got a eachine eat14 and a 3s battery but have only run it on 2s so far, can't wait for a 3s blast now.
hes using a 70C battery too helps squeeze out more, other people using shoddy 20c 3s batteries and strugging to break out of 50s

It was just to help the body shell sit abit lower and more level
$157 is not very cheap
for the performance it's cheap
