Remembering Amnesia

A new exhibit at Yale’s Sterling Memorial Library examines “Amnesia,” a groundbreaking video game released in 1986, that touted as the first interactive, computerized novel. The library’s digital preservationists have restored the game using emulation technology, so that people today can experience what it was like to play it nearly 40 years ago.
