Do you have to cut and replace the white string attached to the loom every time you finish a project?

yes, the white strings are called warp yarns and they are part of your woven project, you cut them off your loom once you project is done, and then you redress your loom for your next one.

Happy to help! This needle is 15 cm (6in) long.I think having a variation of tapestry needle lengths are useful to have. I use both short and long tapestry needles in my designs.Hope this helps :)
