- Apologies that its been a while between updates but Wayne went and broke himself.. (more on that here: www.mcnews.com.au/2023-ktm-au... ) Having said that, the Aprilia Tuareg build has still been slowly progressing and we're getting to the pointy end. Quite a few new bits on the bike and a few more to go on in the next week or so before we get to cosmetics. Then we're gunna need some suggestions for its first proper Adventure weekend ride.

Bikes looking good mate!
Hope the leg doesn't give you any trouble going forward. I myself am dealing with recovery from fractured metatarsals, and those damn crutches were no fun!
It sucks a bit eh - Hope you mend up soon!
Awesome Wayne! I've been looking forward to these vids and glad you're on the mend. An alternative option to mount your Quadlock is use the mount that comes with it but remove the arm. You can mount it directly to the bar and right in the middle. Love the graphics by the way!
Cheers Bazza! And thanks for the kind thoughts. Good idea on the Quadlock front, but the standard clamp has a cross bar that sits pretty flush to the bars and stops a quad lock mount going in there... if you scrub to 2:26 you can see it - I should have highlighted that actually.
@@Vicko026 Ahh yeah, see the bar now on the clamp. I've been looking at that MotoPumps mount for a while, it does look quite good! Eastbound have released a lightweight wheel changing kit for the Tuareg if you want to check it out. Less of an issue with tubeless rims i suppose
I’m in the wars like you Wayne smashed my shoulder in 4 places !!!! Can’t wait to see the finished bike 👍
@@theoddangrytrail1813 I'm not liking that you busted yourself up mate, that sucks. How long you out for..?
Will be a couple of months , your vids will be part of rehab 😂
Giday Wayne o, apparently you can put the bark buster angle bracket up the other way which keeps it well away from the tank but is prob not as pretty to look at. Thanks for the great Videos, really enjoying the Taureg videos as lm thinking it's my next Bike. Was going to get a tenere world raid, but l don't think they have landed here in oz yet and pricey .
Cheers mate - I'm not sure which way I put the bracket in the end to be honest (and the bike is in getting some bits added at the moment so I can't check!). Rally Raid looked interesting, but I'm not convinced that making it heavier was a solution to a problem that customers were having...
Rap the cat when you do the bash plate. Keep your foot from getting to hot.
Oh! When it's done.. I will need to give it it's first adventure in the new spec. Looking for suggestions! I'm thinking 2-3 days worth, from Southern Victoria. Aaaaaannnddd go!
It should definitely include Albury
@@bradtaylor3372 Yep - for sure mate.
Have the same bike.I have a dashplate really hardcore.check it if you like. But the made here in Greece. What tyres you running to the bike. The look like Motoz...
your raid tower looks very clean and light, but where the hell did the cables go?😂
Kidding, but it looks good👍👍👍
Haha - dont look too close at the mock details.. its a bit of a dirty cut and paste in a few spots.. just enough to get it done :)
Hello @MCNews where did you find those covers ? Can you link it please ?
Which covers mate sorry? Happy to link
Did you notice a change in vibration in the hand grips due to the Barkbusters? I tried the T-Rex hand guards and a definite increase in vibration - enough that my hands start going numb after an hour or two.
Haven't given it a run with them yet. It shouldnt vibrate more though unless theres something loose I wouldnt think.
@@Vicko026 Please let me know your impressions regarding any change in vibration after you get a chance to ride. Since the factory bar end weights (which are used to mitigate vibration in the bar) are removed, the potential of differing amounts of vibration going through the bars is a real possibility.
Just coming back to this @@roadrider1100 - no increase in vibes. If anything maybe less vibes...
Needs a Beak...
😂
No one is interested in empty cans ... keep your noise and keep the trails open.
