I have the same freezer- love the black stacking baskets. I have 3 of the white wire shelves across the top. It is easy to just pull one out and slide the other two to get to the bottom basket. I do also keep a few frozen blocks of ice in the bottom just in case the power goes out. I know that it will stay cold for a long time (and I do have a generator) but it is just a bit more insurance.
Love that idea! I should probably do that too.

The deep freezer is a way better place to keep anything that isn’t opened because it isn’t self defrosting. It helps keep everything fresh longer. It is so helpful to have an extra freezer. Can’t wait to see how it works best for you. I try to bring up the things I need for the week to the fridge freezer but mine quickly gets to be a mess.

8:31 - Nice vid! I just got a 7 1/2 ft.³ freezer delivered today because I’m suffering the same dilemma as you with the kitchen freezer. I do have to say please stop using those pizza crust tubes! (yes, I used to use them as well) But with flour salt, a little yeast, and a little sugar you can make and freeze much better crusts for a fraction of the price, and they’re much better for you. And with my recipe, you can even make bread with the exact same dough! I’m going to do a video on it very shortly on my brand new channel, @BradCanCook so keep your eyes peeled! 😁

Mine is a mystery. I have a couple of baskets but everything overflows. Same with my fridge freezer. I just jam it in. 🤦♀️
I’m definitely worried mine will get that way too. I’m trying to be better about using what I have on hand before buying more, but the sales are too good to pass up sometimes 😂.
I have 3 upright freezers and 1 chest freezer. They are all stuffed. I have to be really careful when I open the upright freezers. Frozen items sure do hurt when they fall out and land on your foot. Lol
I use “See Mindy Mom”’s method of organizing the chest freezer, where I group like products in reusable shopping bags and place the bags into the freezer. My chest is small, so I have one bag for frozen veggies, a bag for frozen goods, a bag for frozen meat/poultry, and a bag for prepared foods.

@@lzinitithis is what I do too...a bag for pork, one for chicken. I use a plastic "shoebox" to file ground beef. I bought extra of the hanging baskets to hold the smaller items. It's surprising how much those little 7 cubic feet freezers can hold!
Do it on a dime used bags to organize hers.
I did that for a little bit when we first got it, but it wasn’t my favorite. I’m sure that will work for a lot of people though 😊
The bins I used are working great for us. Definitely recommend!
