I found a moose paddle in a creek probably 5 or 6 years ago elk hunting down here in AB. Found it in the morning and threw it on the pack. Took it off an hour later, thing was so water logged it wasn't worth it for the rest of the day lol. Haven't found another but now I'm always looking
I’ve found dozens of moose sheds in a small area, which tells me the moose can be in very small, localized areas when dropping antlers. This means there are no sheds anywhere else. In the high country there’s a lot of brush, so tough to see them. I’m also often hunting them with snow in the ground.
Hi John, from the regulations: Found carcasses or wildlife parts If you find a wildlife carcass and want to keep any part of it, you must bring the item to a conservation officer and apply for a permit. You can keep naturally shed moose, caribou, elk and deer antlers with the burr at its base intact without a permit. We cannot issue permits for certain species protected by federal legislation. The Government of Yukon may retain these species for museum display.
I've used the Spartan Bipod, but also the Atlas. One is light, the other less so, but more bomber. I think Spartan has newer models now that are excellent.
@@GregMcHalesWildYukon ahhhh did I hurt your sensitive feelers so much you had to erase all my comments? What’s it like being so sensitive that you pay people to go through UA-cam comments and erase the ones you don’t like? You reek of insecurity.
@@Alaskabuilt_ Josh, if you keep posting comments on different videos, you may be thinking I deleted them. How about you go find your comments and respond to what I wrote?
Can't wait until the next episode! Would love to see you give that grizzly a dirt nap!
Haha, we discussed it for a loooong time. We didn't have our ram and we were so far back that we hesitated long enough that he was out of there!

Love watching your videos with the kids. We're excited to keep watching this hunt. We're all curious if you're going to end up using your bow!
Hey J! I was curious as well! I hope the kids enjoyed it!
Great vid! When is the next episodes coming out??
We're releasing new episodes each Thursday for the next few months!
What would the rules be for taking sheds in the Yukon?
