I loved seeing how you display and organize your manga. I’ll have to keep an eye out for you since I often spot Hana-Kimi singles and Sand Chronicles at Book-Off.
This whole collection setup is eye candy. I love how you're giving mini reviews and recommendations as you skim through the series and shelves. Oddly enough when I was a young girl, I mainly only read Shonen (with some exceptions being Nana, Say I Love You, Ao Haru Ride, etc. ), so I've only recently started going full force on the Shojosei side of things as a 20 year old woman. So it's quite nice to hear of so many Shojo and Josei works to keep my eyes out for. Love your collection, and am sooooo jealous of your awesome Cardcaptor Sakura/CLAMP shrine!! Lol ^^
Despite my first two manga being Shojos (Fushigi Yuugi and CCS) I was practically raised by Shonen Jump so I know the feeling! I read some stuff in college (kimi ni todoke esp) and then later in my 20s just dived fully into shojo manga. Best choice I ever made
Your collection is beautiful!! I have a tip for the library stickers on your Man of Many Faces... Lighter fluid. The kind you use in a zippo lighter. I used to work in a comicbook shop, where I learned that just a drop or two eats away at the sticky layer under stickers. Dont flood it, and if it all doesn't peel away, add another cautious drop or two. Hopefully that'll help x
I recently picked up the first three volumes of Queen's Quality after hearing good things. I've got a lot on my TBR list at the moment, but I hope I can get to them soon! :)
Dengeki Daisy is one of my favorite manga, bet that QQ crossover is great (still haven't read QQ but plan to)! You've got a lovely collection and display 🥰
thank you for sharing your manga collection! Half of them of I've never heard of and the art is AMAZING! Also I love the way you decorate your collection!!!
I love your manga collection. I got so excited when you showed off the manga magazines and saw there were Johnny's idols on the spines. Then you go on to say that you also love Johnny's idols. Shoujo mangas and Johnny's what more could I ask for.
So many Shojo manga magazines have Johnnys idols on them! Betsucomi ran Kaito Takahashi’s manga for like 3 years! (It just ended). I love Johnnys so much! Very nice to see another fan~
Woooooah, im sooo impressed you have mixed vegetables. Thats a shojo ive yet to see others have in their collection. Great childhood series of mine ^w^
yo, i recognise so many of those kinokuniya coasters! i hope they do more soon 😭 i got the kingdom one instead of honey lemon soda but i was debating between those two
Love your collection 😍 Dengeki Daisy is a must read 🥰 I asked Shojo Beat a couple years ago if they had plans for a Kimi Ni Todoke box set and the said no. I ended up collecting the singles, but maybe there’s more hope for 3in1s or something 😅
As soon as I can find some Dengeki Daisy for cheap I want to read it! We really need more Shojo box sets! Kimi no Todoke would be PERFECT for one. It’s a shame they don’t want to invest in it.
Love of Kill is so weird. I talked about it a bit in my Manga Demographics video, but it's published in a magazine that is a "shonen magazine marketed towards girls" which just makes it a Shojo magazine lmao
@@ChristyLou that’s so wild! I know the original novels for Apothecary Diaries has a female demographic and I so thought the manga leaned toward Shoujo stylistic choices 😱
I have a collection of older shoujo manga: CardCaptor Sakura, Fruits Basket, Red River, Alice 19th/Absolute Boyfriend, Tail of the Moon, Ultra Maniac, Vampire Knight, Beauty Pop, Kitchen Princess, Shugo Chara, 1 vol of Peach Girl and Yotsuba. Love shoujo manga. They speak to my romantic heart 💕 My goal is to have as many oop shoujo as possible.
You should definitely read Kamisama kiss it's really good i think you'd like it too! And blackbird is pretty good but it gets kinda muddled at the end and theirs an age gap i believe. :)
You really have a great manga collection ! I’m impressed ! Do you know the manga gakuen Alice ? Because I’ve read a lot of shojo and josei and it’s my favorite so far 🥰
I wouldn’t consider banana fish as a bl. The story focuses mostly on the main character Ash and his struggles. Don’t let the “bl” tag turn you off from reading the series! (Not saying bl is bad btw) it’s a lot more gritty and tackles many mature topics while exploring the life of Ash and being involved in the mafia and gangs
I’ve always seen it described as a BL, but after doing some more research it doesn’t seem like it’s specially BL just has… elements? Idk I haven’t read it yet so I don’t want to dive too much into research to spoil anything!
@@ChristyLou I would say that the relationship that the two characters have is more special than romantic love (their relationship isn’t clear cut so I’m just speculating.) Though many people in the fandom like to push it as bl like some other series such as sk infinity. But anyway, the series is amazing and one of my favourites definitely would recommend both the manga and anime!

I'm glad you liked it! And thank you!!! I see Hana-kimi at my second hand store a lot but it's always volumes I own!

@ChristyLou oh I absolutely adore Kimi Ni Todoke!!! Currently watching the anime adaptation with my gf ^^

Queen’s Quality is the best!
Wow, You have so much good shojo in your collection! Especially with all those clamp series
Your jacket is super cute btw

I want to read Dengeki daisy so badly! Especially now because if the cross over manga lol

Thank you so much!! I’m glad I was able to show off some stuff you’ve never seen!

I got 5 of the coasters. I also got one for Mashale, Oshi no ko, and wild trigger (possibly, I don’t remember).
Watched this while it was raining, so very cozy video! I also wish Kenka Bancho was more than 2 volumes it was so much fun.
I'm so glad!! The ending of Kenka Bancho was really open ended too! I wanted to see more of their friendship!
Love your collection 😍

dang now i want those rose of versailles hardcovers. im too poor for this!!
I got a gift card through work and used it on them. They are gorgeous but so expensive!
Fun fact: the mangaka for Rosenblood illustrated for the mobile otome game Ikemen Prince
This makes tons of sense! I knew their style felt like an otome game!
Apothecary Diaries is SEINEN?!?! WHAT O.o omg. that really caught me off guard
and LOVE OF KILL IS SHOUJO?!?! WHAT XD
It's published in the same magazine as Goblin Slayer! Crazy!

I definitely want to read Kamisama Kiss! Its a little hard to find but if I can find it for a good deal!
@@ChristyLou Some volumes are easier then others for i think it's getting reprinted or something, but its very hard to find it all sadly :")
Im in love with all the Cardcaptor merch 🥺 but i really wanna know where you got that cardigan!! its so cute
It's from an indie brand called Kinwamonster! It's from their new Spring/summer collection!
Awesome Collection!
Thank you!!

100 is still a lot!!

Sometimes I read regular books lol
You a cool chick I love that awkward nervousness
Love your collection!! So many awesome series and love seeing some of these older nostalgic ones as well 😊
I love nostalgic manga! I didn’t grow up reading a lot of Shojo (I mostly read Shonen jump stuff) so I like reading these things that I missed out on~
