Siddhartha Belmannu and Shadaj Godkhindi - Raag Bhimapalas - Ekatvam Holi Music Fest 2019

Upcoming talented artists Siddhartha Belmannu and Shadaj Godkhindi present Raag Bhimpalas during Ekatvam's Holi Music Fest 2019 at the Bangalore Gayana Samaja. They are accompanied by Roopak Kallurkar on the Tabla and Srilakshmi Belmannu on the Tanpura.
Ekatvam aims at providing a platform in which any and every musician - irrespective of their genre or identity.
A great many talented musicians languish in the sidelines because they don’t get opportunities to perform on popular platforms or are asked to pay so that they will be allowed to perform.
Our ultimate ambition is to provide a platform that is open 24*7, every day of every year. Our quarterly musical programs for the upcoming talented, shall find them a quick path to recognition and sustenance. As a billion people celebrate colours and spring, in our endeavor to sprinkle a little music into the mix, we will celebrate colour and music together at our yearly Ekatvam Holi Music Fest by bringing together- performers, connoisseurs, critics and mentors.

There is shuddha nishaad being played on tanpura .. in the beginning, during Alaap, it is so prominently audible... But the raga contains only Komal nishaad .. How come??! It is so disturbing to listen...
Am i the only one hearing it?!

it is part of culture...no matter which nishaad in raag..bhimsen joshi, pandit rajan sajan mishra ji...they always preferred shudh nishad on tanpura.. once explained that the place of komal Nishad is fixed in my mind and tanpura is only reference for me.
please listen such divine music with surrendering yourself rather showing off knowledge.There is lot more than your knowledge.The guys performing are upcoming legends for sure.
