Lil Wayne is one of the last rockstars we have left. A true superstar. He's been rapping since 91, and he's still _only_ 36 years old. He's been one of the biggest influences in hip-hop overall, and he's sold over 100 million records. And to anyone saying his influence has been "bad" on hiphop, stop it bruh. Wayne has been freestyling for almost his whole career keeping it strictly hiphop at all times. He even made the song 10 000 bars to get rid of any bars he hadn't used yet, just to start _only_ freestyling. He gave us multiple mixtapes for free full of bars and murdering beats. He gave us Nicki and Drake. Pay respect to a legend while he's still here. PS: He's the last hip-hop artist to truly sell 1 million copies a first week pure sales with Tha Carter 3.

"I'm fucking awesome til' awesome has a child for me." What does it mean? BARZ!!! Edit: Is it just me, or does Wayne have that Carter 3 flow here? Cause I can definitely hear and feel it!
I actually like it a lot. He could use less of some pretty repetitive beats, but overall it’s good. I will say, I’ve been actually craving this kind of rap over the typical mumble rap bullshit that’s so popular now. Wayne used to be hated on, because the competition was so legitimate, but now, amidst the likes of the mumble rappers we have today, he’s like a goddamn genius.
You are not a real stan then. "Demons" samples the same song that Rashad used as a sample for his Cilvia Demo track "Heavenly Father". The sample is taken from The Crowns of Glory - "Lord Hold Me In Your Arms"
What yall think was Mona Lisa a better song than lucky you or the other way around? Mona lisa shocked me im shook carter v and kamikaze are my favorite albums this year Wayne snapped
On Mona Lisa I was taken aback, thinking he had Young Thug featured despite the bad blood between them... then I realized that there were actual words being said, and that Thug was just very influenced by Wayne sonically.
Thugger is Tupac i don't know why yall are mad and yeah i know Wayne created Tupac, just the flow on Mona Lisa sounded exactly like Tupac on some of his SS3 joints
At 19:20 "I'm fucking awesome until awesome has a child from me..." This bar has a two fold meaning. 1st being being awesome in general. 2nd metaphorically having sex with "awesome" to give birth to something else. Making him the father to the child of "awesome". 🐐
I can see why you'd think I said that but that's not what I meant AT ALL. C5 is 🔥🔥🔥 but reason is a different kind of vibe. He's like older Kendrick. Section 80 Kendrick
It was ok he used a lot of beats I heard before, The features were cool I like Colored Dreams that was my favorite. But the album could get better with more listen right now it's a 6.5 or a light 7. He's alright dude got potential just better production and he'll take off.
I thought the same about production. I didn't recognize any of the producers then I realized he hasn't earned the right to work with 9th wonder, sounwave, Ali, just blaze etc he had to start with entry level producers lol

6.5/10 a very good album but no where near as good as 10 out of 10 albums
"Demons" samples the same song that Rashad used as a sample for his Cilvia Demo track "Heavenly Father". The sample is taken from The Crowns of Glory - "Lord Hold Me In Your Arms"
"I've never made that noise before." 🤣🤣🤣🤣
The energy you put into your reviews is appreciated!
That last song is iconic. I mean DAMN.
Jorge Masvidal’s Hairline lol.
Mona Lisa dopest track on album by far
Prob one of waynes best songs tbh
Mona Lisa reminds me of All 4 Tha Ca$h by Gang Starr. Dope tracks about bitches settin their mans up for a come up
YUP
Famous, Can’t be broken and open letter are all better for me tbh but Mona Lisa is amazing too
See that’s bad lol Wayne is sorry
What yall think was Mona Lisa a better song than lucky you or the other way around? Mona lisa shocked me im shook carter v and kamikaze are my favorite albums this year Wayne snapped
Hessa Mathers both songs were perfect for the artists who was on them.
i'm going with lucky you not just cause Em was on it but Joyner is amazing and the combo of them was nothing short of perfect
OLDHEAD CONFIRMED
Mannnn, idk but it's the best verse by wayne, and best verse by Em I've heard in a long ass time. I just gotta appreciate both songs
Lucky you is barely better
You know how you know an album is good? We saw Shawn's knees
I don't know how you didn't like Uproar with Swizz beatz that shit go insane...
MAKOKIS best on the track. The type of beat Wayne feasts on. Was honestly shocked when he said he didn’t like it
Grayson Wright listen to it twice and it’s annoying
REMEMBER WAYNE IS NOT LIKE THESE RAPPERS THEY ALL ASPIRE TO BE LIKE WAYNE SO HIS MATERIAL WILL ALWAYS BE ORIGINAL
I like how some of the tracks sound dated it fits the theme
On Mona Lisa I was taken aback, thinking he had Young Thug featured despite the bad blood between them... then I realized that there were actual words being said, and that Thug was just very influenced by Wayne sonically.
Jacob Younce how the fuck can you not tell young thug is a Wayne clone lmao
Tupac Shakur literally has a album called Barter 6
Ali Abi Nassif and barter 7
Thugger is Tupac i don't know why yall are mad
and yeah i know Wayne created Tupac, just the flow on Mona Lisa sounded exactly like Tupac on some of his SS3 joints
Wayne n thug got a old song together called take kare b4 the beef
After this, his name will forever be Wiw Wayne
Aaron Alaniz golden comment.
Don't get it
MsquaredJ no L’s
@@JohnLGjoni still don't get it
MsquaredJ Lil Wayne... right? There’s two L’s in his name... he caught W’s with this album, so we switched the L’s with W’s because he’s winning
This whole album was 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 “Demon” my favorite song on there
One thing that what would help your viewers is if you put a graphic of the song name that you are listening to in corners with features.
Bruh, he says all of that right before he plays it. Just watch the video, you'll be okay.
Maximum Effort yes, exactly
I loved this album. It wasn’t what I expected from a Carter installment. But I think Wayne poured his heart out and showed us a side we haven’t seen.
Is this a modern classic?
Yeah I think sl
So*
Hamish Moon I think dedicate and Mona Lisa are, everything else is just Ight
NO
Fuck no
At 19:20 "I'm fucking awesome until awesome has a child from me..." This bar has a two fold meaning. 1st being being awesome in general. 2nd metaphorically having sex with "awesome" to give birth to something else. Making him the father to the child of "awesome". 🐐
😂 😂 Exactly bruh
I never thought Kendrick and Wayne would have such a great collab. Definitely favorite song from the album.
almost 4 years later and this is still an amazing album
I’m gonna be honest bro there’s no skips on this album.
You’re tripping. This shit is so repetitive
Theres plenty😭
All Alone matter of opinion
I personally don’t skip any tracks, but some tracks are noticeably better than others
Evan Buch It shoulda been like 18 tracks
I stopped listening to 'There you have it' by Reason in TDE for this review. Check this album out if you haven't already. Very soulful real hip hop
Jay Sephus you really gon act like wayne ain’t real hip hop
I can see why you'd think I said that but that's not what I meant AT ALL. C5 is 🔥🔥🔥 but reason is a different kind of vibe. He's like older Kendrick. Section 80 Kendrick
Same bruh. REASON is still underrated tho
The last song hit me hard, such a good album I’m not disappointed at all
Smiler 15 Right. That shit was deep
Dope Niggaz featuring snoop Dogg is slept on badly... thats a solid track
I agree too many tracks .18 is the magic number for the max and 10-12 for the minimum and 14 is just the magic number
What About Me was a banger cuh.
Imho Drake's album scorpion was this years' weakest album by far. Thx drake for the "kinki" challenge that shit was awful.
Gustavo Carleon keke
I don't wanna suppose u know the lyrics by heart lol
Gustavo Carleon it is catchy
Someone is a hater😂😂Drake got nothing to do with this album...💤take that shit somewhere else.
You ain't wrong. Good album but by far the worst out of the big guys
Was not expecting the La Flame feature but it banged nonetheless
9:33 he called him a simp 2 years before it was popular
Y'all know simp has existed for over 3 decades right?...
@@ShawnCee u replied- im speechless- i love you man.
@@squeechbungle1287 that’s embarrassing
He said popular not invented Shawn !!
I don't appreciate shawn calling the dre sample a lil kim sample
is it Dre or Eryka Badu?
Dre- xxplosive
@@Shark-ts5rz Dre sampled bag lady by Badu
Sorry but Travis is on a roll this year and C5 is amazing
Kian71 those trav verses were NUTS
Dawson Slone also he is doing SNL next week have a feeling he is gonna release another song and then maybe an album in next 2 years

Travis garbage Asf bruh
@@71prod.15 nah he ain't droppin a new song. He's def performin all Astro.
Who been waiting all day for Shawn to react to this album 😂
Bro fr😂
This album took me back to the carter 2... it's unbelievable that he's still got it.
Guys we finally saw Shawn's knees
14:33 My exact reaction. That beat switch up was nasty af
I went crazy when I heard that sampha sample when I heard the album 😂. I enjoyed the album and I'm happy hes out the bs. He gave so much and you see this in c5
I lokey need sampha for an album 😭
honestly one of your best reactions cause youre 12 year old shawn comes out
Looked forward to his reaction to "Used 2" and it did not disappoint. Glad he got as much joy as I did out of that song!
This is Lil Wayne at his best
And still shit. LOL

D'Airus Brown say that
Yo tpab kendrick went off bruh🔥🔥
It sounds more like pre TPAB Kendrick.
Jovanny Bates sounded like 2012-13 kendrick in all honesty.
Ig you could talk ab ep kendrick ig but I feel like he was practicing that voice off of U tbh
Î agree, that Kendrick sounds like the one from Swimming Pools
@@STAVROS1801 eh listen to the heart part 3
Yo I had to leave class to “go to the bathroom” when the last song came on
Spongy Bear it’s one of the best on the album for sure
no one talking abt the green ranger remake on uproar
CJ Who "special delivery "
Shabazz Prophet yea ik now🤦🏽♂️ but green ranger is the better song IMO
CJ Who you right but technically it's a revamp of that beat I agree though
We need some kind of forever again, with Eminem, Wayne, Kendrick, and Royce and/or Joyner
Em
Wayne
Drake
Kendrick
When will ppl have enough eminem jesus id much rather just wayne and kdot n drake
Kristopher Amadeus “Forever”
Royce, Wayne, Kendrick and Cole
The first track is his mom emotional af. Talking about hes never talked about it. Then the last verse is him telling her.
Thats incredible.
Wtf? Did you just respond to your own Comment?
