I just purchased an old Lesco sprayer and i am converting it to a small soft wash rig. It is a skid sprayer used to spray pesticides and stuff. The pump thats on it is a Hypro D252 diaphragm pump. Basically i am simply freshening up the engine and rebuilding the pump. I hope it works out good. It came with everything needed, Electric reel, 100g tank, Skid, motor, pump for only $75.00 at auction, They had 9 of these older Lesco skid sprayer for sale. I am not sure why people don't use them for soft washing lol i must be missing something haha. Only issue is i will be batch mixing for now. I plan on building a better system/rig later on but for now i hope this sprayer works ok for the mean time. Thanks for the videos i appreciate it bro and also i like the setup it looks good and it should work fine. If you could give us a cost break down that would be great.

Just bought a North Star 55 gal Agricultural sprayer and currently trying to do the same idea. How did your set up work out? How did you go about rebuilding the pump?

@@planetheaven1019 I actually used that sprayer until the pump went out, it was a gas motor with driveshaft mounted Hypro pump, those pumps are rebuildable but i simply switched it out and with electric using a 12v system. So basically i have a two tanks one for chemicals and one for water, 12v 7.gpm Pump, 150ft hose and wond, Works great i make money every day using this setup and its simple and easy and cheap. Later down the road i might upgrade to something better but for now this rig works great. Depending on what kind of pump you have, Most pumps are rebuildable and you can buy rebuilds kits for them online.

@@chadshouse2059 so when the gas pump went out you mounted a 12v pump and battery onto the agri skid? What are your thought gas vs 12v softwash system, since you’ve used both?

@@planetheaven1019 I liked the gas setup and the power the gas pump put out but to be honest it was loud and stressful, the 12v system isn't as powerful but its reliable, dependable and silent. I think i would say like the 12v system better and the maintenance is a lot cheaper.

I think I’m going to try this. I have a Pumptec X6 being delivered next week. Check those out for a 12v alternative. They’re beasts. I want 3 options on my trailer to get chem on a house and keep the pressure washer for surface cleaning and a 4th chem option. I just seem to have the most problems with a downstream injector so I want it to be the last option. The 12 volts are just ok.
I know the walk of shane trips to the hardware store all to well.

go for it! If I had to do it again I'd get a 6-roller! Try it for me and let me know how it goes.

You should try using Banjo company pipe parts they're plastic fittings and pipes are fiber reinforced and used heavily in agricultural spraying and wildland firefighting.

I tried out the 4 roller pump a few years ago. Loved it but it didn't hold up the best. How is the stainless steel version holding up for you now that you have a season on it?

I know a company makes $700000 a year doing the same thing with that pump

Can I ask where you got that adapter/coupler at 1:05 ? I cannot for the life of me find that online.
I started with a Dewalt 2.5 gpm a couple years ago that had a gx200 in it. When I upgraded to my 8gpm, ironically the 2.5 gpm pump blew when using it to wash something at my own house. But I had this same idea to do this, salvage the gx200 and make a soft wash unit out of it somehow 👍

The issue is in the PVC. You can't use pvc in this type of set up not only due to vibration but pressure as well. Hose is the way to go, preferably higher psi rated. At 3600 rpm the pump will create a lot of pressure.

I found this out the hard way and ended up putting the return manifold a little way after some hose to absorb the vibration. This iteration of the machine failed.

Where did you get that pump from

Put a peace of flex hose from the pump to the pvc to break up the vibration man.

What shaft do u need to mount the pump

You should always run soft hose off of gas motors due to vibration issues then tap in to your ridged line setup.

Can the roller pump pull from the top of the tank or just the bottom?

No the roller pump must be level with the fluid feed hose

Great try. Keep at it. I’m thinking about trying air diaphragm as opposed to the booster. The gas pumps scare me because they are not reliable

Ive been running my AR45 Gas roof pump for 5-6months and haven't had a single issue with it and I use it for everything except concrete. And takes 10mins to replace I bought the pump separate since I already owned a Honda GX200 so I only spent $1000 and no need to replace the motors since they are pretty bullet proof
