The animators really said "yeah bro, we cut corners everywhere else so you guys can see Mark get his shit folded in top quality".
And then they don’t deliver top quality. I saw a lot of people who hated that but because invincible is so poorly animated.

The Filip Schaff meta commentary is actually from the comics, and he explained to Mark how they manage to keep up with the monthly issues by reusing some of the same art

It's astonishing to me how people keep forgetting DA Sinclair has been working for Cecil since the end of his first episode.
He was one of the options used to fight Omni-man, was shown building an army for Cecil in the first season's finale villain montage, and has been referenced this season more than once.
I didn’t remember either. I forgot so much of the first season because it was so long ago 😂 But I did remember the robots fighting Omni man, it just didn’t connect
It's been so long and for them it's even worse cuz they do it for a job and watch SO MUCH content all the time
I just don't remember them showing the Reanimen in the comic this early. DA was shown though in both the show and there a lot before this. I guess it's from watching like 20 shows all at once? It get's jumbled.

What makes Mark the hero he is, is that in the face of unstoppable forces he doesn’t submit. He doesn’t give up his principles just because someone’s going to beat him into submission, Marks skin isn’t invincible, but his spirit is, that’s why he such a great hero❤

@@josuegarro5437 Except most heroes don't go through such a drastic change as Mark will. You'll see. He becomes more like yeah that makes sense kinda guy in his actions later. Plus I relate to him so much, I just can't hate people outright, or back down on my principles. A good character is relatable, and Mark is 100% that.
A detail I like is how when Anissa first talks with Mark, her voice sounds cold and robotic, but shows more emotion the more they interact.
Poor Amber. She didn’t deserve this.
Fun fact: D. A. Sinclair was originally played by Ezra Miller in season one. But due to the MANY controversies they were involved in, they were recast with Eric Bauza in season two.
And I couldn't even tell.
As someone who knew about them being in the role, I am so THANKFUL they recast the role

Invincible, Adjective: incapable of being conquered, overcome, or subdued. Mark will get pummelled, hurt, and killed time after time in future seasons. He is frequently outmatched. But no-one will be able to keep him down.

I ADORE the scenes with Mark and Amber. Steven Yeun and Zazie Beetz have such fantastic chemistry and their performances in their final scene together is one of my favorite moments in the show. I love this show so much.

The best thing about the animation thing with the seance dog author is that it’s straight from the comics except it was about the writing and illustration process and tricks they use to speed things up

Remember that Mark took the beating from Anissa and hit her at least once. After, when he is talking with Amber, he said that he wanted to kill her and could feel the part of him that was like his dad bubbling up.
Yeah, this episode feels like a wakeup call. Mark has been fucking around for months when he should be TRAINING 24/7. He's tough enough for villains on earth but the threats he faces long term are much higher, as is his potential. There's nothing stopping him from being as strong as Omni-man other than his own commitment.
There's no training that would allow Mark to bridge the gap between warriors with hundreds of years of training and strength accumulation
they grow stronger as they age...
It's funny as hell to me that at this point, 'Anissa' has became something like a trigger word for Invincible Comic Book Readers. And being one myself, I can't blame them.

A good thing to remember about Mark’s strength level is he’s REALLY early on in his life. He’s a literal infant compared to other Viltrumites who are thousands of years old. He’s going to become wayyy stronger, show exclusive watchers ain’t seen nothin yet.

Wonder what the discussion was like in the room at the moment when the showrunners and casting director made the decision to cast Shantel VanSanten, Becca Butcher’s actress, as Anissa a character who is Becca’s opposite (in more ways than one...)

I don’t get why people still take luxury cruises in a world with confirmed reports of Kaiju attacks. It hasn’t even been a full year since Nolan rematched Hail Mary, you wouldn’t even catch me near the beach, let alone out at sea.
If covid didn't stop people from wanting to overpay to be trapped at sea, nothing will.
Rudy was also the leader of the Guardians until the first episode of this season. That's when the Immortal was added to the team as the new leader.
I hope Season 3 takes their time and not split all 8 episodes in half.
IIRC, they had the 4 episodes ready for release ever since part 1 dropped, but the theory goes that they either wanted to keep people on Prime subscription after the price changed, or they didn't have anymore good content until June when the Boys S4 releases, so they had to spread it out

The talk about superhero relationships was the biggest gripe most fans had about Amber in the first season. I think the way that relationship ended was a good redemption for Amber's character.

One of my best scenes from that cartoon is when Coulson is asking Fury for funds for different things to improve the school (he took on his job as Principal too seriously and became the role). Fury shut the call then said something like my god, Coulson's gone local.
Dude i love how they slighlty recreated Ryan Ottely's style in one of those last shots in the meta scene... and also that a Ryan Ottely is essentially saying that, its so great!

The power scaling in this episode might be a perfect example of how Power Scaling works as a concept. It starts with Rex/Mark against that alien guy, and then shows Mark vs a Viltramite vs Allen.

Next episode was so good I started reading the comic.. Almost finished with it, really damn good and I can't wait for next season to some moments animated, hopefully well animated and better than this season.

Sinclair was already working for him, if you remember they had the soldiers fight Nolan for a little bit towards the end of season 1, and also in the final episode of S1, when we see the lava guy etc, we also see sinclair building extra soldiers.
As Cecil said if they’re that useless against one Viltrimite what’s the point of resisting? I mean, not to be a defeatist but let’s be realistic.
If Viltrimites are that next level, and they’re thousands or millions of them, and mark isn’t even willing to kill? Maybe face facts

They react to like thirty different shows at a time and the quality of their content revolves around being invested and remembering details. The notes help them retain and look back at details.

Re-watch this episode and it doesn't make sense to take notes on what is being said or happening in the show. No allen is not faster or stronger then annissa or nolan she also isnt faster rhen nolan its that he has a zenkai boost as a power and when he last got injured and almost killed he was in space so hes just much more agile in space then the last time he fought and lost in space and got stronger cuz of his zenkai. But later they are highly relative untill her death

ngl after watching xmen97 the the animation of this season is really disappointing literally just eve spin off series level I would be very happy with. Not a single fight with good animation thankfully plot behind the fight is top tier
