CDT Thru-Hike Ep. 8: Summiting 14ers Grays & Torreys Peaks; Mountain Goats Block My Way!

In this episode of my CDT thru-hike, I summit the 14ers Gray’s and Torrey’s Peaks after a killer ridge walk, I navigate mountain goats blocking the trail, and enjoy incredible views on my way into and out of Winter Park, CO. Look closely at the mountain goats and you will see they are shedding their summer coats!

At some point now that you’re in CO, go climb grays peak! There’s an access route with a parking lot so you could do it as a day hike and climb Torreys as well. From the top of grays you can see the ridge walk the CDT takes. It’s stunning.
