Interesting, always thought trench warfare possible even today, especially with the way terrain is in those areas. Long fields. The destroyed trees look like pictures straight out of World war 1 1914
Saw an interview with the guy doing all the firing here. He had someone above with a drone giving him intel the whole time and they were fighting off about 12 Russians who arrived in an armoured vehicle. His tactic was to keep changing weapons so the Russians assumed they were up against a larger squad than 2 and therefore storming the trench would not be feisable. Also, it was the first day on the frontline for the guy doing all of the reloading and he was absolutely terrified but just executed the orders and did an incredible job because they would have been overrun otherwise.
lol no, he made that up to sound smart and bad ass. The issue was the ammo, and so he could fire more quickly instead of reloading the current gun. Don't believe everything...
For people questioning the second man's bravery, he is a loader and even if he is "more protected from enemy fire", he is still at the same risk of dying, a brave man indeed aswell! 🇫🇮🇺🇦
They could curl into a ball and start shaking and vomiting if they were made to do what he does. Idiots think war is COD because of western propogandized battle footage.
That soldier had great parents. There were bullets whizzing by his head, but he always said Thank You the old guy who was loading guns and bringing grenades.
I’m an Iraq vets. Seen enough combat to understand that trenches are a whole different beast. I had good gear, vehicles, air support, logistics and intel. These guys just have balls. Well done.
balls and a desire to not see there country under dictatorship, which should be taught about in schools. This war is literally a david vs goliath and david seems to be not tired at all

I feel so sorry for the loader. He looks like an older man, likely worked a simple life before mobilization. He possibly knows that he isn't the most effective soldier, but still finds room to be useful. Under so much stress, Ukrainians prove to have the will to get things done. Very good teamwork to the both of them, and I wish them good fortune in the days to come.
Most likely mobilised. But the main warrior of this video is very young, he is only 21 years old, and in 5 minutes he managed to shoot with 5 different weapons and throw a few grenades. Believe in us, don't stop helping and we'll win❤️🇺🇦

He's providing very useful things to the soldier. They're like a perfect working machine. Somebody needs to load the magazines. And hand out ammo and equipment.
Couldn’t even imagine what was going through their minds, the loader did an excellent job supporting his comrade and the cameraman held that trench with everything he had. Insanely brave on both of their behalf. Medal worthy acts caught in camera for sure. I hope both of these men get to see the end of this horrible war and return to their homes and families as hero’s
Even the soldier doing all the fighting admits he would not have made it without the other guy. The other guy had a concussion/shell shock (nearby strike by artillery) and it was his first day in a trench. Main soldier gave orders and asked for things. Dude did his best and did what he was told. Soldiers cannot fight without logistics, in this case there was a soldier with a personal logistics guy. The soldier was able to fight with the ferocity of a whole squad because of the teamwork. Had the Russian's realized there was only 1 person fighting them in that trench both soldiers would have died.
I'm not sure there were only these two guys fighting aganist. There are many-many shootings. Once at begining these two got discovered (1.10 russinan soldier was on raid to them but took different location/hole - it was deadly mistake) and once they got dicovered by the video's very end. Fighter pal was lucky, he got almost shot off.

Shell shock is a condition where someone loses normal function of their body because of the trauma of war, it doesn't actually mean they've been nearly hit by a shell.
@@samdavenport4604 I was referring to what the soldier said in an interview. His trenchmate was out of it due to a nearby artillery strike. The concussive blast can really ring your bell. This guy is one hell of a warrior. He's facing an infantryman's worst nightmare, with armor and dismounts right on top of his position. Yet he manages to stay calm and methodically dismantle the attack. Even the other guy in the trench was able to do his part. I can't imagine how hard it is to act under that much stress. Close quarters combat is much different, this is just a terrifying version of conventional land warfare. CQC involves doors, hallways and engagements as close as 5 feet

I’m just surprised The Sun actually showed a man get gunned down. I’ve never seen combat or been in war, but seeing that guy drop so quick was just shocking in itself.
I saw a Ukranian sniper at night with his night vision glasses on who popped off five Ruskies, one after ths other. Seeing them drop was like watching a game of human skittles. Then I felt bad because it's still someone's life being taken.
The name of this guy is Ruslan Zubarev, call sign Predator. He’s 21. Awarded with golden cross for this fight that took place near Svatove. He burned a Russian IFV and shot several paratroopers that day, one of them seen in the video. The other guy was shell-shocked and it was his first day on the front line. The attack was successfully repelled. Fun fact: the hero’s dream was AR-15 rifle, but in Ukraine you cannot buy rifled guns until 25yo. So he was also awarded with AR-15 as a personal weapon.
man that's actually super cool to hear that his dream rifle was an AR, we take them for granted because they're so common here, they're in every gun store in the US, but he couldn't get one until he literally survived a hellish invasion. I'm glad they recognized his bravery though, because this looks absolutely unsurvivable, the situation he's in and yet and he still got out of there with this video. Terrible war but what an absolute tank this guy is and deserves all the recognition for this performance, along with his battle buddy there. I'm glad they got him his rifle, hope it was a decent quality one though... hell I'd send him one myself if i could lol.

How hard it must be to think straight with all the juice flowing and this guy is swapping guns, giving orders, taking intel from drone operators. Crazy.
The fact that fellow humans are having this experience really humbles and disturbs me at the same time. People killing each other because they are well trained/prepared to do so but at what cost? Young men sacrificing their lives for someone hundred miles away or more pulling the strings, so sad.
Single soldier? I see two brave men, the other guy could have sat down and cried, but he did his part, he loaded and reloaded. It was much more effective for only one of them to fight at a time due to the angle of assault. Two brave men.

This is the first real close combat footage I've ever seen and it really got me tense. Makes you wonder what those soldiers were really feeling. God bless them and their country.
His comrade actually was disoriented and disorganized if you watch the full thing and know the language. But at least he listened to this young man and gave him almost everything he asked for. All that matters that it worked that time, any other time it might not have. Lots of luck involved.
I, too, have heard that the other solider was shell shocked / suffering from PTSD. IMO *really* impressive that he was able to function like he did, despite the stuff he was suffering from
In Arab country and Africa we men runaway and left the women behind to defend themselves. We ussually runaway to the Great Britain and Northern Europe where live is easier
There is no, overt explosions, there is no, bullet rain. There is just this repeating sound of a gun being fired, and the knowledge that at anytime, you could die. Seeing war in movie and media vs irl is truly different, It feels so calm, no music, no vfx, just, a blend of calmness and danger.
I'm from Poland. before the war there were many Ukrainian men working in Poland mainly on construction sites. when the war started they all went back to Ukraine to defend their country. it stopped many construction sites. so brave. I have sooo much respect for them.

This is a cropped version of the video too. In the full-length version the soldier with the camera guns down 3 Russians within 20 yards of his position in full view of the camera. At one point he has to go back and execute one of them as they were dying to stop them from throwing a grenade in his trench. Crazy how brave he must be to keep fighting and not crawl down into a hole and wait to die.
You can see he shot 2 russians at close range, the first one is obvious, but at 1:20 mark you can see another russian moving near the trench line. That's surreal!
Guy in the trench reloading weapons likely suffered from PTSD and blast wave concussive injuries from artillery barrage. The shockwave moves through your body like magic and feels like you got ran over by a team of horses. Good training and friendship likely kept this infantry team alive. Battle buddies for sure.
Most watching this video have no idea how incredibly crazy this footage is. Most US infantryman who saw combat in Afghanistan engaged in long distance firefights which they rarely actually saw the enemy or even know if they hit anything. I can’t even imagine what that must be like.

I guess on his telegram he talks about his wingman having shell shock and being pretty terrified but still managed to get him everything he needed when he needed it which is exceptional. Most people don’t realize they would freeze in this situation.
I don't think they could have thought that there would be more than two soldiers, at best three, in one cramped trench, from which, in fact, only one position is firing in a random direction.
That feeling, the adrenalin it takes to give everything you have to live another day is insane .. and yet so calm .. he already accepted his fate, but he also had the hope ..not only for himself, but for the other guy and his country.
I was a German paratrooper with missions in Afghanistan and Kosovo. We experienced enough bad things, but fighting in trenches is terrible. You can't get out of it and you have to fight until the last shot. Fortunately, we did not have to fight in trenches. Hold out, brave comrades!
The loader apparently had shell-shock but still didn't miss a beat in methodically keeping multiple weapon platforms loaded and in action. As for the fighter, his actions summarise his brilliance perfectly. THAT WAS EPIC! Imagine how many other epic battles have taken place that we’ll never see or know about 🤯

He'll yes....this video hit the web weeks ago and the first comments on other sites....we're critical of the soldier in the hole....but soon veterans were chiming in that second person did an outstanding job as a gopher reloading the shooters weapons....that it was textbook....the vets indicated that had both Uke soldiers been shooting and both ran out of ammo....they most likely would have been overrun.....
It’s like when your playing with the boys and only one of you is good so you keep supplying him because he’s the only one keeping you and everyone else alive
To everyone calling the loader a coward for not fighting: He had shellshock. If you know what that's like, you'd know him FUNCTIONING took more courage than you've ever displayed.
Personally, I didn't even think the guy was a coward (Or had PTSD/Shellshock at first). I thought he was just assuring the POV soldier had ammo as he has been handing him supplies as our POV soldier was using it. Then at some point he tried to turn an AK over the trench to return fire but I think the POV soldier told him "No stay down" (I wouldn't know) Or something along the lines of that of some sort cause the guy ceased what he was doing right after. Personally, with the direction the enemy was coming from, he was probably best to stay put cause if he got up to fire, it would make our POV soldier have to expose himself a bit to fire around his mate as he would have to lean up either above the guys head, or lean out of the trench to his left or right (All ways exposing the POV soldier to gunfire)
I figured it was just his job to keep the munitions coming. If they had both been firing they'd have to coordinate reloads, and if they needed more supplies from the hole, it would take more time for one of them to get down there from their firing position than it would for this guy to hand his ally some ammo from there. Anyone calling him a coward is a keyboard warrior with no critical thinking skills though lol. Especially when you consider sitting down in that hole wouldn't fare you any better than the guy shooting, if any sort of explosive reached their trench.
Absolute legends, pinned down and possibly outnumbered and still not giving up, these men need awards for their bravery. May they have good luck in all their future fights and may they make it home safe

@@Jmoth792from my experiences in 2005 and 2006 in Hawija Iraq, almost all fighting was done while I was in the turret. It’s chilling to see actual combat footage. Usually we only see this stuff in movies, but when you see real videos of war and people shooting at each other, it’s just horrific. I hope all the best for the people of Ukraine.
@Thawne People all have their reasons whether it be for defending their nation, being naturally fit for that role, for combat experience, etc, but to give you an Idea, Imagine you are an Ukrainian citizen with Friends and Family living in Ukraine along with maybe owning some stuff that you would probably be willing to risk your life for to protect, now you have the choice to flee or not to fight but doing so means your life, your friends and family's lives and everything you care for is at a higher risk of being taken away from you. Your way of living, your laws, prices, medical care, stores and everything could completely change to mimic Russia's stuff and depending on how you view Russian laws, prices, politics, etc, it could change for the worse. Now are you going to fight to keep things the way they are and to help increase the chances of your civilian life staying the way it was and to increase the chances of everyone's life staying the same or would you rather flee and leave your friends and family to make their own choices, possibly increasing their chance of death or change to their way of living along with leaving most or all of your possessions in the place you leave behind? I just wanted to let you know this is not meant to make you feel bad in any way if you were to choose to flee or stay (staying and doing nothing would have the same effect as fleeing so I didn't mention it.), its just meant to give you an Idea of why people choose to fight in war. For me if my country went to war, I would probably choose to fight because my life isn't great so I wouldn't necessarily care too much about the risk of death and my country has a bunch of cool things to like about it so if a invading country decided to try to change all that, I would more than likely choose to fight.

"Brave"? Yeah, no... Highly trained, for sure. Thanks NATO for flooding Ukraine with guns and instructors for 8 years. But there's no bravery in protecting own life, it's basic instinct supported by this exact training and experience. Would you call a professional UFC fighter "brave", when he's in a dark alley kicking whole lot of people in the face because they are assaulting him with knives and clubs? Hardly. Bravery is to rush and clear trenches, at full height while under fire. To assault buildings. To take captives. To help and evacuate civilians, to provide aid. But you gotta watch whole lot different videos to see that heroic behavior, which is not oh so welcomed and spread by your European/Western media :)
I have watched this video five times and I even sent it to my senior friends. I serviced in the army during the Vietnam war, and I had never seen such close fight.
Thanks for your service. This is without a doubt the most powerful piece of video I've ever seen. I was literally holding my breath and shaking. Crunching my toes. I wanted to yell to him. HANG IN THERE!! Breath, Keep repeating the steps. This was heavy.
This honestly might be the most brutal fighting we will ever see for a long time. Even if two major superpowers go to war, modern tactics revolve around mobile forces. The fact that this war has gotten to the point where tactics have devolved to WWI styled trench warfare speaks a lot about the state of it. Edit: I see a lot of people talking about the use of trenches in modern warfare and previous wars in the middle east. Yes, trenches are used but not to this extent. The battle of Bakhmut has both sides digging trenches and creating a no mans land in between waiting for one side to push. You did not see this in the middle east. It was one side defending with trenches meanwhile one side was trying to breakthrough it with air strikes, missiles, tanks, etc. In Bakhmut you literally have sides throwing waves of men in rushes trying to break it. The fact that the engagement distance here is literal feet for your average solider should have said everything. WWI trench warfare is not the same as just digging a trench and firing from it.
I don’t agree with the title tho “single Ukrainian” there’s two boys there and as a team they’re both as important as each other 👍 they’re both smashing it Slava Ukraine 🇺🇦
The one dude was hiding while the other fought off an armored fighting vehicle and multiple russians. All the dude hiding did was reload his RPG for him and hand him guns lmfao wtf
This video was first shown a week or two ago. The second man is a 50 something raw recruit in his first combat engagement. He had a panic attack and was trying to get himself together. The vet is a true hero. He not only understands and helps the new man, but fights the Russians at the same time.
As a man, I’m inspired. As a human, I’m horrified. Can’t believe we are getting live footage, I have to remind myself that when I watch these videos, to give respect to the protagonist and the antagonist, neither one of them asked for this.
No amount of words or commenting will ever describe what is happening here. You are an inspiration to everyone. It makes me thankful for the life I have.

To experience what combat would be sort of like, check out the game Battlefield 5. Put on a good pair of headphones and turn it up. It can be said that one might wind up with some PTSD after someone calls in a 20 second barrage and you’re right in the middle of it. It’s deafening, somewhat terrifying, and almost to the point of actually being there. Again, this is only a game. But there are real people and personalities from all over the world behind each player out there in the battle maps and it can get brutal.
Glorification = BS³ Would you like to swap your situation with those patriots ? Would you like to be there ? Do you think they want to be there ? Save their lives by stopping the war / stop sending weapons to the regime.

How can anyone in their right mind call this man a coward while they're in the comfort of their own home
@@r.a1301 That I fail to understand myself.
@@r.a1301 truth bombs

For me if my country went to war, I would probably choose to fight because my life isn't great so I wouldn't necessarily care too much about the risk of death and my country has a bunch of cool things to like about it so if a invading country decided to try to change all that, I would more than likely choose to fight.
war movies struggle to potray the utter mess like there is here

2v12 is insane. Those men really did it. 🎉 rip to all who fell 😢
100 years later and we're still fighting in trenches. Crazy how so little has changed.
Because they work...
Historians guestimate man has been at peace only 8% of our existence (as man) and you're talking about trenches?
War never change... ''Fallout 4''
@@donetoldyaso.99 they never have, ever heard of trench foot?
Artillery is a king of war,but units are god of war
Couldn’t have worded it better myself.
Modern tactics still very much revolve around trenches in the defensive
@@michaelzhang1891 Makes sense
@Content_enjoyer And that's something not everyone are willing to do.
Did he just killed on cam?
I don’t agree with the title tho “single Ukrainian” there’s two boys there and as a team they’re both as important as each other 👍 they’re both smashing it Slava Ukraine 🇺🇦
The one dude was hiding while the other fought off an armored fighting vehicle and multiple russians. All the dude hiding did was reload his RPG for him and hand him guns lmfao wtf
@@R7wStandOverShit that's how it's done Mr Expert
@@effes514 Usually soldiers fight not hide while their brother does all the shooting lol thats absolutely not how its done
@@R7wStandOverShit He did not reload his RPG
Holy crap that was tense! I've never been in combat but this is probably the closest I'll ever get to feeling that desparation and fear!... and he just kept going! Slava Ukraini 🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦😮
If you don’t keep going,you’re dead.🤷♂️
@@dustinrobinson58 yeah that's true. Some guys freeze though, from what I hear... the untrained ones.
Glorification = BS³
Would you like to swap your situation with those patriots ?
Would you like to be there ?
Do you think they want to be there ?
Save their lives by stopping the war / stop sending weapons to the regime.
@@Ampel_off sorry but that is is the dumbest thing in the world to say.
So disrespectful of the Ukrainians dying for their country. Come on.
Of course I don't wanna be there. Of course he doesn't wanna be there. But do you want to just roll over and let Putin have his way? Hell no. We're not sending weapons for fun. We're sending weapons because Putin wont stop at Ukraine... and more importantly: Ukraine seems to want to fight! Putin started this war. Tell HIM that we don't want it.
Can't even imagine the amount of adrenaline pumping through his heart in that battle. I feel it just by watching this video!
Would not surprise me if soldiers have died with a heart attack in situations like that. For my heart rate this video is enough.
R/combat footage I seen a special forces squad commit a war as they were barely deployed. Crazy world
lies, your to romantic
Thats why many soldiers when they manage to survive live with PTSD. Some of their friends will die or get masacred in front of their eyes, and that will not be the worst they see. It is hard to live again in peace, life countinue but you are stuck in past and memoriesž
@Thawne1338 what would the alternative be? Go back to Ukraine doing exactly what you see in this video to it’s own people?
I think the other soldier deserves some credit in this too. Mr. Badass couldn't have been put up such an aggressive defense without his contributions so go easy on him. He was scared but he was still able to make himself useful. It was his first battle in the trenches allegedly.
This is the sort of bravery that earns you the VC in the British army. Extraordinary footage.
4 special forces in total and the BMP!
Hero!
Maybe not VC but definatly a high award. VC is like MOH but harder to get
yeah that wouldn't be a VC but it would definitely be a medal for gallantry or some such... dude was doing his job maybe wasting a little bit of ammo but in fairness he was being a 1 man platoon so putting down fire while also maneuvering and checking his arcs. He also switched weapons probably out of need to keep the fire going but I imagine they had slightly different sound reports so that too can make it sound like there are more than just 1 person. flippin good job
British army????? hahahahahahahaha...you nevar have army my friend! Just a pack of kids and women killers! For money
@@woodsy900 it's not wasting the ammo, it is reppeling and suppresing stormers. such a heavy fire could make them think that there is more than 2 people in the trenches
I'm literally lost for words... The bravery of that man and the poor man that is shell shocked. I pray to God they both made out safely
Both of them are survived and still fighting on the front line
nobody is "shell shocked" what are you talking about?
@@realtacobell The guy passing ammunition, he should also be shooting but it looks like he's full of fear, totally acceptable considering the circumstance, fight or flight.
@@cmdlet98 Could be they are running as a duo, and hes the supplier, they have so many weapons in that trench if you saw, their older guns overheat fast, hes making sure everything is loaded, tossing the marksmen whatever he needs when he calls out for it, if he had to stop every time he wanted another gun, or another magazine, or another grenade, it would be inefficient in trench warfare. Modern city warfare is a different story. This is how trenches have been Faught in for ages.
@@realtacobell I agree with you bud no shell shock here! But every UKRAINIAN news outlet that has shared an reported on this video and story claims the guy in the ditch loading weapons is shell shocked, and that came from more than 5 news outlets that are reporting it over their. But I get once one news outlets runs a story then they all just copy it and say the same thing. But they are saying it’s shell shock
I became mentally drained just watching. This soldier is too fit. He was taking us in every corner of the trench and it is very hard. Every bang scared the heck out of me. You are very brave 🙏
Wuss
@Thawne yeah why russia dont go back to russia. And the war is over.
@@mrob2185 I would love to see you on the frontlines. Bet you 20 grand you’d be out there calling nobody a wuss, infact not uttering a single word in pure fear for your life.
@Thawne1338what’s the alternative? Let the Russians aboard Ukraine??
@Thawne Just hide in your hole and hope everything works out the way you'd like huh?
The guy is seconds away from possible death but he's handing out grenades to his buddy like he's handing out food orders at a local fast food joint. Calm as ice. Incredible but scary as heck.
From light years away in New Zealand, I watch these videos of never-say-die Ukranian warriors taking the fight to the enemy with nothing but the profoundest respect and admiration. Apparently camping works, you know, in reality - with one's life on the line.
The adrenaline in his breath, I can easily say I got tense too and started to breathe faster while watching this, you can feel at least a tiny bit of what the real pressure a situation like this must be.
These are some of the bravest men i've seen in CQB. It's hard to stay calm so close to the enemy. Best wishes to the men and women who continue to support and fight!

I’m not a Ukrainian…. But I couldn’t be more proud of this man for doing what he believes in. Takes an actual man to do something like that. ❤ You are the example of what most wouldn’t have the balls to do. We are rooting for you.
