    Awesome stuff. Plan on doing a rear mount on a BMW 318ti with a honda J engine. Good cheap HP for the road racing stuff. Gonna balance out the race acr. Super helpful to know how you did yours and whats important.

    Working on mounting a rear mounted radiator in my audi hillchimbing racecar. Was wondering if 40 gpm is ok for a 2.2L five cylinder turbo engine or do I need more flow? Also I've heard about needing to take out the impellers on the stock pump because of water pressure build up? Any heard would be amazing.

    • @C5R_Lite
      @C5R_Lite 3 роки тому

      I'd recommend running more flow. One of the general takeaways is more flow = more cooling, assuming you've got enough airflow over your radiator. I've got a 55 GPM meziere ewp on my rear mount LS3 S14 and it's been holding up with HPDE work. OEM pumps usually seem to move more than 40 gpm at mid to higher rpms.

    Micah, just found your channel. Outstanding videos, lol have binged watch all of them. I'm 54yrs old retiring in Dec. 2020 from being a firefighter/paramedic and in the planning phase and R&D for my dream car build. Full custom build chassis, body of LMP1 race car without stupid "shark" fin. Donor car is the drive train from my 2014 Chrysler 300 pentastar V6. Im not looking for massive speed but the power/weight ratios will be fun. Your rear radiator mount videos sold me. I hope you will critique me during my build and become a friend. Imagine... Stock 300 morphing into a LMP1 race replica with the Chrysler 300 emblems. Keep up great work, and can you link your parts list for Phoenix cooling parts you used.

    So I got a crazy question. I am new to this stuff. I did not even know this was a thing until I did some research. Any ways here's my crazy question. To eliminate the NAF could I rig up a power inverter and run a industrial fan? I know the main goal is light weight but if I broke down I could have some one bring power tools if needed. That's not the reason why I want to do this. I'm thinking about using an industrial fan so I wouldn't have to cut holes for the NAF. Also I'm sure a industrial fan would be more heavy than the two Fans most people use but I think it would be cheaper. I drive a lot of dirt and gravel that's why I don't want to cut a hole in the bottom and I don't want to attract attention from the highway patrol using the window things to guide air.
