For Kai's comment, Kpopflex was his first time performing in front of audience and oversea as a solo artist. I think "professional" is the highest praise. Btw, he is an introvert. They help him break his walls and be comfortable. Kpopflex was something new given that he is alone(without his members) and in a different place surrounded by fans of many groups not only Kai which might have made him a little shy. Adding to this, yesterday he performed in waterbomb festival, he finished it and said us that he was shy...... he is generally like that, he is really reallyyy different onstage and offstage which fascinates me till date. that’s exactly what I thought might‘ve been the reason, but way more eloquently put! 🥺 being the type of person myself who gets very shy in new and uncertain situations, who‘s often been told I seem confident but cold/unapproachable in said situations where I’m actually just shy and nervous, I thought he might be a similar type! I haven’t seen a lot of off-stage content about exo yet, but in the clips I’ve seen he seemed so sweet! 🥹 I’m sure it’s super exciting to be touring festivals and seeing fans again, and of course he’s got his dance crew and a few managers with him, but still I felt like it must be hard to be the only soloist surrounded by groups in a setting like kpopflex, when you yourself are used to working and traveling in that environment of having your members around you as well 😔

Kai's just a shy boy and a perfectionist but also kpopflex was his first ever performance as a soloist in front of the audience. He debuted during covid time so never got a chance to see fans (which makes him so happy) and I guess that's the reason he was more professional but the fancams from kpopflex show him smiling so happily
The reason that Chen and Baekhyun's voices are so easy to pick out is because of their main vocal lungs/throats. They have an immense amount of power whenever they sing, especially Chen. He is known for being very loud, and you can always hear his voice cutting through any other noise in it's path. Even when he is speaking. He also has a slight nasal quality and brightness/brassiness to his tone. I liken it to an arrow. It really does pierce through everything. Baekhyun has more of a rounded tone, but he still has a ton of power, and they both have a lot of resonance and vibrato when they sing. D.O. has a powerful and amazingly beautiful and insanely flexible vocal, but he has the roundest tone of the 3, thus making it sound a bit more muffled. But be assured, D.O. can definitely blow...
For me, Kyungsoo's voice is the most recognizable voice in K-Pop, I mean he's the only one who has that amazingly agile voice and beautiful vocal tone or vocal quality in K-Pop that will suddenly be recognized by anyone, his accent and fluency in every language is insane, he has also a powerful voice. no wonder he has 3 different languages in his album which is hangul, Spanish and English. I remember that one Spanish fanboy who reacts and needed to guess the unknown artist that sings in Spanish, he suddenly recognized kyungsoo's voice even though there are no clues even the nationality of the artist, which is D.O. the other reactors even thought that the singer is Latin American, Mexican, Argentinian or Columbian because of his accent with 0% korean accent. that's how insane and recognizable his voice is.
Him being so versatile actually makes it harder for me to pick up his voice and recognize it elsewhere - one time he sounds smooth and elegant, another time it‘s soft and sweet, next time he’s powerful or even growling! I never know what‘ll come out when he opens his mouth! That being said, i‘m generally very bad with casually picking up voices, so it‘s rather rare for me to memorize voices of members unless I watch A LOT of their content.

Actually that’s the main reason why EXO got that rising platforms, it’s for the fans seated at the back so that EXO themselves could see them and also fans could see them too. Kai really has a bright personality, it’s just that when it comes to performing he’s becoming another person. Lol. Im loving his duality. It was also his first offline event with live audience, that's why maybe he doesn't want to show unprofessionalsm during that time. Who wouldn’t get intimated to see Kai when he is THE KAI?!Lol I mean 10 years of being an idol, being the only solo performer, his first offline solo performance plus being the main event, I guess he got a lot on his back but he managed to capture the crowd when not all of them are exo-ls. I think his performance in Germany was fun, sexy and classy! and yes, he IS PROFESSIONAL like that. I’m so proud of this introvert boy.
Just know exo are always funny on stage, they like to play a lot, to run, to enjoy themselves, of course you will notice it later when you will see more of their stages. About their energy this is on another level because you always feel like you want to be there after their concerts
Love Rockin' Chen! None of us really know, but Kai is known to be extremely shy, yet also that he loves performing live so much he comes alive. It must have been a huge thing for him facing a new audience without his brothers, putting out new content that has not been seen live before with so much expectation on his shoulders, I'm not surprised if he fell back a little more on professionalism. I wasn't there, but he looks happy in fancams. Maybe he was happy but nervous. He's such a perfectionist and would not want to let EXO or his fans down. I'm glad you enjoyed his performance. Because of your comments of seeing Kai at Kpop Flex, I will add my experiences, I definitely understand seeing a difference, I've gone to Kai bday parties for 2020 and 2022 but I've also seen Exploration 6 times (1 time in Japan) and I attended the 10th anniversary live. I only say this to make my point that 1000% Kai is more emotional (in acting naturally as himself) with his members, don't get me wrong, he absolutely loves his fans every performance every time, I just imo think Kai seemed more like he was there to perform as Kai because of the situation, not because of the location I would say. In my humble opinion he's always more comfortable to express his inner self with his members there... thank you for the reaction and sharing your experience with us!

So Landyra, EXO is Kai’s HOME. They are his siblings-like! The comfortable feeling he’s not getting so much from his crew. And this concert after the MAMA 2017 like how EXO had been treated, but they still got to perform LIKE THIS
IMHO masters of the eye makeup are #1 Xiumin. #2 Baekyun #3 Kai EXO was my first foray into Kpop. Then I got into Shinee, another 3rd Generation group, that Suho was actually supposed to debut with, but an injury prevented that. I think you would like them. They are my second favorite after EXO and there are several friendships between the two groups. They set the bar for costumes and choreography. Their concerts and videos are amazing. 🔷💍🔹💍🔷💍🔷💍🔹

Kai is generally a shy person despite his sexy/confident character on stage. Non exols would be so shock to see Kai offstage because he is very shy and cute and funny especially when around Chanyeol or DO or Sehun (or maybe all of the members XD). I would prefer his off stage character bcs thats the real him. I went to their concerts and one thing is sure that you'll be having a great time. In philippines, most day1 attendees, attends day2 cause dude it's so fun. And usually this part of the concert you can feel the ground shaking cause fans are jumping also

LOL Diamond was one of the songs that I loved at first listen when I became a fan 2 years ago. I thought it sounded different (but then again, many of EXO's songs sound unconventional), with Central/South/West Asian sound. Yess, all kpop concerts I went to did that tease, with saying it’s their „last song“ and saying goodbye before - but since power was actually stretched pretty long with the instrumental and they talked afterwards as well about how much fun they had etc, I wasn’t that sure anymore if they‘d really end it there or not 🥲 glad to hear there was more afterwards, that‘d be hella sudden!

that’s exactly what I thought might‘ve been the reason, but way more eloquently put! 🥺 being the type of person myself who gets very shy in new and uncertain situations, who‘s often been told I seem confident but cold/unapproachable in said situations where I’m actually just shy and nervous, I thought he might be a similar type! I haven’t seen a lot of off-stage content about exo yet, but in the clips I’ve seen he seemed so sweet! 🥹 I’m sure it’s super exciting to be touring festivals and seeing fans again, and of course he’s got his dance crew and a few managers with him, but still I felt like it must be hard to be the only soloist surrounded by groups in a setting like kpopflex, when you yourself are used to working and traveling in that environment of having your members around you as well 😔
@@Landyra actually , all EXO members who went solo , gets really shy and nervous when they perform alone , I understand, they performed for 10 years together, so it's different and new for them , I remember Baekhyun getting nervous during his first album and even Candy time (nct was there to give him company in music bank) but Kai is on another level shy , and not to mention people who don't know him , find his aura very intimidating which makes it harder for him to break when he is alone , In waterbomb , I feel like he bulked up a bit , so that he can took off his shirt but he was so shy that he didn't do it😆, later his manager ask him , "why he didn't took off his shirt!" he cutely said ,"I got so shy😅"

Kai's just a shy boy and a perfectionist but also kpopflex was his first ever performance as a soloist in front of the audience. He debuted during covid time so never got a chance to see fans (which makes him so happy) and I guess that's the reason he was more professional but the fancams from kpopflex show him smiling so happily
The reason that Chen and Baekhyun's voices are so easy to pick out is because of their main vocal lungs/throats. They have an immense amount of power whenever they sing, especially Chen. He is known for being very loud, and you can always hear his voice cutting through any other noise in it's path. Even when he is speaking. He also has a slight nasal quality and brightness/brassiness to his tone. I liken it to an arrow. It really does pierce through everything. Baekhyun has more of a rounded tone, but he still has a ton of power, and they both have a lot of resonance and vibrato when they sing. D.O. has a powerful and amazingly beautiful and insanely flexible vocal, but he has the roundest tone of the 3, thus making it sound a bit more muffled. But be assured, D.O. can definitely blow...

For me, Kyungsoo's voice is the most recognizable voice in K-Pop, I mean he's the only one who has that amazingly agile voice and beautiful vocal tone or vocal quality in K-Pop that will suddenly be recognized by anyone, his accent and fluency in every language is insane, he has also a powerful voice. no wonder he has 3 different languages in his album which is hangul, Spanish and English. I remember that one Spanish fanboy who reacts and needed to guess the unknown artist that sings in Spanish, he suddenly recognized kyungsoo's voice even though there are no clues even the nationality of the artist, which is D.O. the other reactors even thought that the singer is Latin American, Mexican, Argentinian or Columbian because of his accent with 0% korean accent. that's how insane and recognizable his voice is.
Him being so versatile actually makes it harder for me to pick up his voice and recognize it elsewhere - one time he sounds smooth and elegant, another time it‘s soft and sweet, next time he’s powerful or even growling! I never know what‘ll come out when he opens his mouth! That being said, i‘m generally very bad with casually picking up voices, so it‘s rather rare for me to memorize voices of members unless I watch A LOT of their content.
Totally agreed. His accent in every language is a perfection, and his vocal tone and quality is a chef's kiss. I can even recognize his voice even if I'm sleeping hahaha

Actually that’s the main reason why EXO got that rising platforms, it’s for the fans seated at the back so that EXO themselves could see them and also fans could see them too.
Kai really has a bright personality, it’s just that when it comes to performing he’s becoming another person. Lol. Im loving his duality. Kai is the professional performer while Kim Jongin is his shy-bright personality, he’s a soft person 🥺

It was also his first offline event with live audience, that's why maybe he doesn't want to show unprofessionalsm during that time. And also Kai is a person who hates making mistake specially in peeforming. He sometimes hit himself when he make a mistake. Maybe he feel so pressure to do things perfect during kpopflex but also being on the stage makes him happy so he wants to perform everywhere for the fans even if he is shy. Who wouldn’t get intimated to see Kai when he is THE KAI?!Lol I mean 10 years of being an idol, being the only solo performer, his first offline solo performance plus being the main event, I guess he got a lot on his back but he managed to capture the crowd when not all of them are exo-ls. I think his performance in Germany was fun, sexy and classy! and yes, he IS PROFESSIONAL like that. I’m so proud of this introvert boy.
Just know exo are always funny on stage, they like to play a lot, to run, to enjoy themselves, of course you will notice it later when you will see more of their stages. About their energy this is on another level because you always feel like you want to be there after their concerts

None of us really know, but Kai is known to be extremely shy, yet also that he loves performing live so much he comes alive. It must have been a huge thing for him facing a new audience without his brothers, putting out new content that has not been seen live before with so much expectation on his shoulders, I'm not surprised if he fell back a little more on professionalism. I wasn't there, but he looks happy in fancams. Maybe he was happy but nervous. He's such a perfectionist and would not want to let EXO or his fans down. I'm glad you enjoyed his performance.

Because of your comments of seeing Kai at Kpop Flex, I will add my experiences, I definitely understand seeing a difference, I've gone to Kai bday parties for 2020 and 2022 but I've also seen Exploration 6 times (1 time in Japan) and I attended the 10th anniversary live. I only say this to make my point that 1000% Kai is more emotional (in acting naturally as himself) with his members, don't get me wrong, he absolutely loves his fans every performance every time, I just imo think Kai seemed more like he was there to perform as Kai because of the situation, not because of the location I would say. In my humble opinion he's always more comfortable to express his inner self with his members there... thank you for the reaction and sharing your experience with us!

EXO was my first foray into Kpop. Then I got into Shinee, another 3rd Generation group, that Suho was actually supposed to debut with, but an injury prevented that. I think you would like them. They are my second favorite after EXO and there are several friendships between the two groups. They set the bar for costumes and choreography. Their concerts and videos are amazing.

Pd2: the funny thing about run this is that in 2017-2018 when award shows played bad to exo and exoL, in the last performance that exo performed in an award show (Golden disk 2018) they sang Run this and xiumin shouting say "we run this show" EXO won awards, made the best performance of the night and then never ever attend other Kpop award and say to EXOL that they don't care about those awards more. 😏😏😏. KING THING.

There could be so many reasons why he was like that, like you mentioned, he was by himself, he’s a shy person but over that he is a pro and a perfectionist, and all of this combined may be the reason, I also looooove when they look like they love and truly enjoy being on stage and that energy just expands to their public, they look super genuine and happy to be there and is not a nonsense, since we’re talking about a show!! Also what you talked about the fanchants one that sm does with their live concerts (at least the exo ones I’ve seen) they always try to make it look perfect and I believe they edit the crowd noise, but I’m not sure. Kai is generally a shy person despite his sexy/confident character on stage. Non exols would be so shock to see Kai offstage because he is very shy and cute and funny especially when around Chanyeol or DO or Sehun (or maybe all of the members XD). I would prefer his off stage character bcs thats the real him.
Just like you said, when it comes to his work or dance, he becomes so professional and passionate and can just switch to his charm and sexy Kai.

LOL Diamond was one of the songs that I loved at first listen when I became a fan 2 years ago. I thought it sounded different (but then again, many of EXO's songs sound unconventional), with Central/South/West Asian sound. But I welcome the different opinion 😂 To each his own. 😊

Yess, all kpop concerts I went to did that tease, with saying it’s their „last song“ and saying goodbye before - but since power was actually stretched pretty long with the instrumental and they talked afterwards as well about how much fun they had etc, I wasn’t that sure anymore if they‘d really end it there or not 🥲 glad to hear there was more afterwards, that‘d be hella sudden!

You know Kai is super shy and introvert, I bet he felt lonely there , as he was alone without members and that kpop festival organizers make sure to make him feel like the main event( which he was ) but I just think , he didn't felt fully comfortable there , Which is why I guess I was in full Kai mood rather being jongIn .
He had the sweetest moment there, when all of the groups came up on stage to be introduced, he came in last and asked all the others to come closer, because they were each standing in their groups apart from one another 🥺
