iro lesson on the four elements: each element has an important trait that when together it makes you whole. if you pull from one place your path becomes rigid and stale. You fall out of balance. This can happen to anyone. And this also happened to every villain in avatar and legend of Korra. To azula, ozi, zuko at some point, and sozion. Every lesson in Avatar comes back to haunt us in the series. And in life.
Everything comes full circle in avatar. Everything in the avatar comes in full circle. So like the swamp guy and guru lessons: everything and everyone is connected. Time is an illusion and so is death. The four nations cover the entire world, team avatar has been running into the same people no matter where they go. And those people run into people that team avatar also have met. The white lotus meme bears just happen to be all teachers of team avatar. Zuko just happened to run into jet after they both separately met team avatar on their own. Suki running into azula. Zuko just always seems to be running into ancestor Rokus reincarnation. Everyone and everything is connected.
Roku's mistake with sozion wasn’t that he should’ve killed him from the beginning. It was that he shouldn’t keep a closer eye on him and make sure he wasn’t alone. Sozion is firebender meaning he has passion and drive to achieve it. When passion is suppressed, any person can become frustrated that they still want to achieve what they want. And they won’t let anyone stop them. Sozion was only pulling from lesson fire, but not from the place of air which allows you to see the multiple possibilities, water that allows you to be more flexible and gain help when needed, and the earth that is about being patient. Sozion became out of balance, and on top of that he was a fire lord, a monarch. He was at a high status where he could help the world or make the world worse. Being a fire lord monarch majority means empty throne room and no one really to advise him. Sozin's original plan was to spread his wealth to other nations in a way, when suppressed by Roku, alone in his throne room, and only pulling from the lesson of fire (the achieving your passion) he fell out of balance and his dream became more about conquering the nations. So Roku knowing his sozion status, as an avatar and his friend, he should’ve stuck closer to him and advised him.
Toph said she was on a blimp. Which means she had very little information about what was going on besides sound. This was more of visual experience, a side of the story Toph simply cannot provide.
Aang pulling Fire lord Ozai down by his beard to below his eye level so he can look down into his eyes is one of the most badass and disrespectful things i have ever seen in animation or live action. It is one of my favorite moments ever.

Today is the 19th anniversary of being introduced to "The Boy in the Iceberg." After all this time, watching "Avatar Aang" still gives me goosebumps. It's been said many times before, but this show is a masterpiece and it's finale is one of the greatest of all time. I had just done a rewatch with my sister, who never saw it from start to finish. My favorite part of that rewatch was when she finally realized why her crazy siblings were always shouting out SECRET TUNNEL! One thing I wasn't expecting was how emotional the show made me feel. The Library was always one of my favorite episodes, but it hurt extra hard seeing Appa taken away after my dog passed away a few months ago. Then in the next episode seeing Katara comfort Aang and bring him out of the Avatar state after he was filled with so much anger and sadness had my eyes waterbending. Leaves from the Vine, and Iroh and Zuko's reunion also had me tearing up. I figured the next time I would watch the show would be after the live action one, but then I found Tea Time with Toph and I was drawn back into this world. Michaela's insight and passion for the show was a joy to watch, and hearing about all the different teas was also fun. All the guests were great as well. It was interesting to not just hear from the other voice actors, but from other fans including from those who hadn't seen the show in a while. Thank you Michaela for taking us on this beautiful journey once again. To all my fellow Avatar fans, a new journey begins tomorrow.
I teared up with you at the end 😭 but seriously though, I can’t imagine a better Toph and it’s been amazing to see your love and support for this show as someone who was a major part of it, and I think it’s safe to say that we all appreciate your presence in this fandom! I wish you the best in your future projects and will continue to be a fan of your work!❤
I was in literal tears by the end of this, hearing how strongly you feel about this show that we all love, made me and I'm sure many other people so happy. Toph is my favourtie character and she means a lot in so many ways, and this show has helped me through so much over the past few years. Just thank you for being a part of it, sharing this with us, and bringing Toph to life.
Shout out to Jeremy Zuckerman & Benjamin Wynn for the score and getting an orchestra for this, sonically the pinnacle of that scene where Aang takes away Ozai's bending is just ridiculous
I honestly love this series so much, you are SUCH a legend!! And it’s so validating to know that it’s not just Dante and Mae who recognise Zutara moments as well bc Mike and Bryan were always so dismissive 😂 but it’s one of my favourite parts of the show, and the fandom, over a decade later - that feeling of what ‘could have been’ since I was 13! This show is my entire childhood and Toph was one of the first badass female characters I ever came across, it’s not an exaggeration to say that she shaped who I am today! Honestly just so grateful to this series and to you for the amazing reactions taking me back to my childhood ❤❤
I love how Ty Lee started matching as a Kyoshi warrior, I know others think that's ironic when Ty Lee didn't want to be like her sisters, but I feel it has weight. She didn't choose to match her sisters. She chose to match with the Warriors because it gave her purpose and real friends. She didn't feel boxed in, she chose to be apart of her new family and therefore felt pride in matching. In Katara's first battle with a firebender, she nearly didn't have the strength to create ice to freeze the soldiers. Now with Katara's last battle with a firebender in the show, she not only completely freezes one of the strongest firebenders during the time firebenders are most powerful, but also used her quick thinking to swim through the ice to use the opportunity to chain them up Katara has come a long way...Sokka is lucky to have such a talented sister. That sequence of Azula flailing, spewing fire from her mouth and eventually breaking down in tears is incredible. This finale, and this show in general, is a world of emotions. The first episode titled The Boy in the Iceberg and the last titled Avatar Aang is a great way to summarize how Aang went from an all over the place childish boy to a fully realized Avatar. Doug may be the granddaddy of Nicktoons...but Avatar TLA is the DA VINCI of Nicktoons. This is evident by putting together the first (It's from "It's not getting away from me this time") and last words (perfect) of dialogue spoken in the series: It's perfect. Thank you, Michaela, rewatching this show with you and listening to you and your fellow actors' experiences shows just how special of a series this is and just how many people it has impacted!
Aang was really like: "Call an ambulance...BUT NOT FOR ME!"...I love how when Ozai gets pinned down while Aang is still in the Avatar state, you can see how Ozai's face changes from "Uh oh" to "OH F-" and it feels to cathartic to see the smug tyrant that is Ozai be so utterly dismantled. Aang bending all the elements at once in the Avatar state is such an insane moment. And Aang using Toph’s bending style while in the avatar state is actually a really super cool worldbuilding moment. It shows the reason the avatar spirit reincarnates into a person every time instead of just being an immortal spirit. Being many different people from different backgrounds and meeting even more means that the avatar is able to learn so much more than they would by being the same individual for all eternity. From now on, the Avatar in the Avatar state will always be able to do that machinegun move he did in this episode, it reinforces the morals of the story of wisdom and learning from other people, especially people who are different from you, and I think that’s so frickin' cool. I love how the first water bending move Katara ever teaches Aang is how to "push and pull" the water. After defeating Ozai, he pushes and pulls the entire ocean to put out the fires, the last bit of bending in the show. And in the end, Prince Zuko regained his honor by bringing the Avatar back to the Fire Nation! This was a wonderful rewatch, Sifu Toph! You and the rest of the cast really brought this beautiful show to life.
It's always bittersweet when a series ends and Avatar was definitely bittersweet but still it remains a fun experience from beginning to end, weather I was a kid back when it first came out or an adult rewatching this it still holds a special place in my heart. Thanks Michaela for the great series, Tea Time with Toph has definitely got me into drinking more hot tea as of late and I've been enjoying it.
THANK YOU - for lending your voice and your spirit to this iconic character, this series, and for continuing to be present and sharing your love with us fans so many years later! Forever an inspiration and I cannot wait for season 2 of the live action on Netflix to finally see the reimagination of Toph!! You deserve this legacy!
I can never watch the final episode with out sobbing like a baby( there are literally tears in my eyes as i type this), avatar means so much to me personally and the many lessons it teaches are invaluable. Every time i rewatch this show i learn something new about myself and the world around me. It is such a masterpiece and remains my favorite show and definitely one of my favorite things of all time, you and every single person who worked on this show should be so proud for yourselves for creating and bringing to life such a beautiful world with vibrant, incredible characters. As an artist it inspires me and I hope that one day i can create something just as beautiful. It has been so much fun watching you react to this and i can’t wait to see what is next!
Truly one of the best series finales I've ever seen. Grey's performance in this episode was legendary, and the final battle between Aang and Ozai was spectacular. Aang and Katara are also such an adorable couple. Thanks so much for voicing Toph on ATLA!
Michaela, This may be the end of Tea Time with Toph’s first run, but we’re all still here. It was a fun few months, now take time off to enjoy yourself and relax. When you’re ready to return, TTwT doesn’t have to be limited to just the original AtLA. A review of the live action series would be cool to see, but we could totally do TTwT: Legend of Korra too! You can choose your own favorite teas to drink along the way. Tea Time with Toph could be an awesome talk show/Podcast. “What’s the tea?” may be a corny tagline, but it’d work lol My point is that we look forward to future uploads. That notification bell is set and ready to go 💯
I'm so grateful to have had the chance to rewatch such an amazing show with you and so many other fans. It brings me great joy to see how you've grown since recording this show. The show may have ended, but your generosity with your positive vibes, love of tea, and proclivity for blind jokes will continue to live on in every one of us❤
It is SOOOOO refreshing and inspiring to see you express such passion and emotional vulnerability regarding your work and the connection to your fans. You're pretty awesome. Please don't ever change.
Thank you so much for sharing with us, Toph. I should just mention that I feel that 'moment' with Katara and Zuko was just one of realization of true trust and being allies and a completion to both of their characters' arcs of forgiveness and moving past the darkness of the past. That was it, remember Zuko had said before the Agni Kai began that it's best no one gets hurt at least no matter the results of the battle, Katara is like a younger sister to him at this point so he shined brightest when he fully embraced becoming good by sacrificing himself for someone he once hunted down in his past. I noticed people distort this to make it seem romantic to push for some enemies to lovers thing and "some sauce" as you said but it's really not necessary nor adds up realistically in both of their character-wise arcs at all.😅
First of all, I love your enthusiasm and energy! It would've made watching anything with you a pleasure, but something so dear to us all with your unique insights was a great joy for us as well. As a tea drinker, it was a real delight on many levels. I had hoped early in the series that we could've gotten Mae or Zach for the finale (Or even Dee or Mark), but in some ways now that we're here, I'm glad it was just you. I admit, the one thing that's not in the finale that I would've liked would've been Toph's parents at the coronation learning all their daughter did and being proud of her.
This was definitely an emotional moment, and for us all. I couldn't stop crying, but for you this is so much more. Being your actual childhood this show means even more than a typical fan as it was your life, your job, your youth, and you've loved it and been loved by us all. Toph is my favourite character, always has been.
I thank my son, now 21, for introducing me to this series when he was just a child! We didn't get to see it live-live when it aired, but a couple of years later right before the finale was going to air. I remember we binged everything before and up to the much anticipated last episode! What a ride, it brought us closer together and now my daughter was introduced during the pandemic and is such a fan of the show as well as Korra! 🤩
I hate how i only joined in at the last few episodes instead of the whole show, but they were still a lot of fun to watch. Thank you for doing this with us Michaela and do say hi to Twinkle Toes for us when you see him
This 4 part finale gets me emotional so many times. I always love watching reactions to Avatar, it’s one of my favorite shows ever, and it was really cool getting to hear stories about what you remembered, having some of the cast on, etc.
I loved this video I watch ATLA about 13 times toph is my favorite character. You and the whole cast of avatar are the best actors ever. love you thank you
I remember watching this show in elementary school and thinking it was so cool I would always pretend to be a bender and I even had a bamboo staff that I would pretend was a airbending glider. Only now growing up do I realize what a treasure and masterpiece it is and I'm so glad that people are still appreciating it. Thank you very much Michaela for providing a voice for such a iconic an well written female character! I wish you all the best in your future endeavors!
First of all, you absolutely SLAY in that dress! Second, watching Azula’s mental breakdown is always so hard to watch and can’t help but truly feel sorry for her, considering she’s still a child. And finally, it was such a blast to rewatch the Avatar series with you, to hear your experience while recording as Toph and floating down memory lane with the action, the drama, the comedy😂 and the story. I am so happy that you were a part of my childhood along with the rest of the cast and can’t wait to hear your thoughts on the live action remake. Your reactions elevated this time leading up to the Netflix series. They was a treat and you went out of the way to do this. ATLA fan base is truly spoiled 🪨🌊🔥🌬
Gosh, Avatar is just so good, I swear every time I watch it, it literally gets better. It was so sweet and so sad when you started crying at the end, it made me cry too. Thank you so much for sharing your incredible skills and your beautiful personality with us! This has been such a wonderful journey that I will never forget.
I can't tell you what your character means for me. Although I'm not blind i am physically disabled and to see someone's in a difficult circumstance be such a warrior inspires me more than you'll ever know. Thank you for bringing her to life and inspiring me to get into voice-over ❤
Wow, I got way more emotional at the end of this than I expected. Thank you so much for sharing this with us. Thanks for your incredible performance all those years ago, but most of all thanks for being an amazing human. Looking forward to what you do in the future. Best wishes.
one thing I can't help but notice in this awesome series is how the first spoken word of dialogue was "it's" and the last word was "perfect". and that's how I feel about this show; it's one of the few things in life I never get tired of looking at
Glad i was along for this ride! This was very fun! Thank you for doing this Michaela! Hoping you do another one like it some day, but until then, best of luck with your next projects!
Thanks you so much for all the entertainment and great positive vibes! I was here since the first episode reaction and loved every second. Im gonna miss Tea Time With Tough. But I I can't wait to see what comes next. THANK YOU Michaela!❤
When you thought it was impossible to add more layers of excitement, wholesomeness and fun to each Avatar watch run… Michaela delivers this freaking awesome gift to remember every time we watch the series again, thinking of it every time we hear her voice, thinking to ourselves “Michaela is with us right now watching it and having both tea and fun”. Gosh, thank you for this experience, Michaela! 🥹🌊🪨🔥🌪️
I still love the title of the episode. First episode was the boy in the iceberg. Last was avatar Aang. It really shows his growth as some airbender who can learn the elements to a fully realized avatar. Thank you for reacting to the series you were so influential to.
It's been such a joy coming along with you on this rewatch. So bittersweet for this chapter to come to an end, but one thing Avatar teaches us is hope. I look forward to continuing to watch the live action and Korra and whatever else you react to and whatever else you do in your careerand life. Thank you Michaela. Rock on. 💚🪨🔥💨🌊
Azula breakdown was iconic. It always made me cry tbh. She was so scary and powerful that we forgot that she was just a child, too, in the end. She already lost so much atp
Gonna miss this. You’re the best, best reaction channel ever… like toph reacting with zuko, azula, sokka, cabbage guy, GREEN LANTERN… hope you like the live action ❤️
Thanks for Tea Time With Toph! I watch the ATLA at least once a year. First time with my youngest son sharing my recliner in the living room. Toph is my favorite character by far. You rock! Thanks again!
You made me tearbend at the end there. Thank you for making this show and rewatching it with us and sharing your experience, it's been a wonderful time!
And thank you for bringing life to one of the best characters of avatar the last airbender. You are the greatest earthbender in the world and we will never forget that.
Your skill at such a young age. Each actor's singular moment. Grey and that performance. The french horns at the very end. And yes, truly *beautiful storytelling*.
Wow, this series was amazing! Thank you so much for doing this!! I totally felt you at the end and got unexpectedly emotional but I think that’s a testament to the power of this show. You can just feel that everyone working on it genuinely cared about what they were doing. Truly great story telling is an art and true art to me is something that can touch your emotions and make you feel something. This show is a true masterpiece.

Underestimating the power of the avatar. A family trait of the fire lord trait since sozin. “You can bend all four elements and are thousands of years old, but me with my one measly element can totally defeat you” So glad you did this video series. Thanks for the reactions

Man these were some GREAT observations 🔥👌🏿
Katara beating Azula is so fitting, per Uncle Iroh's words about why he couldn't fight Ozai. History would see it as two siblings fighting.
To share a TV show with an interesting stranger is one of life's greatest pleasures
You are more than just toph to us fans you are a wonderful actress and us dunder heads will never forget it thanks for the fun 😊
Love the dress! Love the reaction! Love the Zutara support 😂. Thanks for taking us on this journey 😊❤❤❤
Michaela,
This may be the end of Tea Time with Toph’s first run, but we’re all still here. “What’s the tea?” may be a corny tagline, but it’d work lol
My point is that we look forward to future uploads. That notification bell is set and ready to go 💯
I'm so grateful to have had the chance to rewatch such an amazing show with you and so many other fans. It brings me great joy to see how you've grown since recording this show. The show may have ended, but your generosity with your positive vibes, love of tea, and proclivity for blind jokes will continue to live on in every one of us❤
OMG THAT DRESS IS SO CUTE!
It is SOOOOO refreshing and inspiring to see you express such passion and emotional vulnerability regarding your work and the connection to your fans. You're pretty awesome. Please don't ever change.
Thank you so much for letting us watch Avatar: The Last Airbender animated series with you, Michaela! It was a blast! 💚💚💚💚💚💚
I love her personality so much
It was an amazing journey, I loved every single video of this series. Thanks for sharing :’) Can’t wait for more ✨🪷
Wow Michaela You look So beauitful in that Avatar Air Theme Dress love your Reaction
cant wait For The Netfilx Live Action Im Super Hyped
The final Avatar The Last Airbender episode!!! What a journey.
I love that you did this! such an amazing series! starting our live action reaction tomorrow sooooo SIKED!!!!
The search is the one with Zuko's mother and my favorite comic of the series.
This was definitely an emotional moment, and for us all. I couldn't stop crying, but for you this is so much more. Being your actual childhood this show means even more than a typical fan as it was your life, your job, your youth, and you've loved it and been loved by us all. Toph is my favourite character, always has been.
So many emotions!! I enjoyed it all. Thank you for Tea time with Toph. It was a great experience.
Thank you for doing this with us Michaela and do say hi to Twinkle Toes for us when you see him
It was an honor watching this with you all❤❤❤
you made me cry at the end. amzing series and cant wait to see more formats/yt videos featuring you
This 4 part finale gets me emotional so many times. I always love watching reactions to Avatar, it’s one of my favorite shows ever, and it was really cool getting to hear stories about what you remembered, having some of the cast on, etc.
What a legacy that you guys left us. You should be proud all your life. So grateful.
I can’t believe it’s over, so grateful you put this out for us greatest atla reaction!!!!
Here’s to you Michaela Murphy, 🪨🪨🪨the Greatest Earthbender in the World!🪨🪨🪨
michaela making me cry like a baby at the end omg 😭
atla will always be thAT show and it will forever be iconic that u were a part of this !!! 🫶🏽🔥
You finally got the toph voice back in time for the finale what bittersweet
Your emotions at the end 🥹🥲 just hits different
I can't tell you what your character means for me. Although I'm not blind i am physically disabled and to see someone's in a difficult circumstance be such a warrior inspires me more than you'll ever know. Thank you for bringing her to life and inspiring me to get into voice-over ❤
Wow, I got way more emotional at the end of this than I expected. Thank you so much for sharing this with us. Thanks for your incredible performance all those years ago, but most of all thanks for being an amazing human. Looking forward to what you do in the future. Best wishes.
It's also the 19th Anniversary of the show today. Perfect timing
CAN'T BELIEVE IT'S TOMORROW!!!!
The tears at the end are so sweet. So happy to have joined everyone on this journey. We all look forward to what you are doing next. 💧🪨🔥💨
THis was a fun run and thank you Michaela for being the voice behind one of the coolest characters ever.
one thing I can't help but notice in this awesome series is how the first spoken word of dialogue was "it's" and the last word was "perfect". and that's how I feel about this show; it's one of the few things in life I never get tired of looking at
Glad i was along for this ride!
Such a timeless series... I hope even more generations grow to enjoy it.
Thank you so much for doing this! I've really loved watching this with you. My eyes are misty now that it's over.
This was such a fun ride!! It's been fun watching you react to the series. The ending of this video IS MAKING ME TEAR BEND
@6:47 I know you already put out your tiktok out for this episode, but you should also post this whole Zutara reaction without any context. 😂
Gosh the description was so perfect! And NO I’m not crying together with you! 😭 thanks girl! ❤
Not the tearbending 😭 can’t wait for whatever’s next, thanks for sharing this rewatch with us!
Girl, you had me tearbending. This show was so so beautiful and thank you so so much for Tea Time With Toph💖We love you Michaela.
Gonna miss this. You’re the best, best reaction channel ever… like toph reacting with zuko, azula, sokka, cabbage guy, GREEN LANTERN… hope you like the live action ❤️
i think she might react to the live action
My Cabbages!
Can't wait for the ATLA reactions with the live action show
The tears of Joy at the end were bittersweet. We all appreciate you shared your reactions with all of us. Can't wait to see what you share next.
I've watched this show a hundred times. But this was special. And I'm going to miss it. Thank you Toph.
Thank you for the journey, and these little sips of sunshine. Absolutely delightful watching with you. Much love! Hope you enjoy the new show. Long live Melon Lord!
I didn't know about this channel or start if this journey til you were already in season two but this has been a great journey and so glad to have found this page!
i cried with you at the end 😢i absolutely loved rewatching the entire show with you, this show means so much for me, i feel like it has been a huge part of my entire life ever since it aired on Nickelodeon almost 20 years ago, and still to this day i enjoy watching it every time, and if it's with other people its even better
Tea Time with Toph was something i looked up to every day, thank you for doing this Michaela and thank you for giving life to such an incredible character and for being part of my childhood and adulthood 💜
It has been *such* a joy reliving ATLA with you! Thank you for sharing the journey with us 😄❤
One of the best stories ever told and animated. The live action series has so much to live up to.
Thank you for sharing this lovely series, it has been fun to drink tea along with you! It's rare to get to see va's of one's favorite content review their own performance and I loved hearing your insights. Hope to catch your next productions, whatever they might be!
Thank you so much for bringing this character to life.
thank you for bringing Toph to life. GO MELON LORD!
Underestimating the power of the avatar. A family trait of the fire lord trait since sozin.
“You can bend all four elements and are thousands of years old, but me with my one measly element can totally defeat you”
So glad you did this video series. Thanks for the reactions
It was a amazing experience watching the last airbender and know with toph the stories behind the episodes. I don't know what else to say, just that it was great to be part of this journey with everyone.
Thank you for the gifts you've given us, Michaela - both this series and your work as Toph and Meng. You made such a difference in so many lives and shaped a whole generation of humans. We can't thank you enough.
