Hello Stephen!! :)- I have been a full time local of Las Vegas for over 12 years now. Just like the F1 race which was a total disaster, I feel as if the only thing that Vegas cares about above the locals is money!! Grifters!!!! Unfortunate that THEY put Profits over People!!!

Your outrage is misplaced. Aren't quickly rising resort fees and crazy food and drink prices more relevant for most Vegas visitors? Suffice to say that nothing that happens in Vegas is shocking. It is just one big money grab.

I love your take on Las Vegas and the happenings about town.... Been watching you for maybe 3 years, maybe 2. The F1 was crazy there, not sure if the town made up for what it put out, Honestly I think Super Bowl will make money and without costing the mom and pop business' their business. Can't wait to see what happens and for the big game! both not my teams...but just should be a good game.
I can't even begin to imagine how much the MGM properties will benefit from this. That end of the strip is basically a monopoly for them. From the Bellagio to the Mandalay Bay on the one side of the strip and MGM Grand on the other. How much do they stand to make from rooms alone? Not to mention the gambling revenue, food etc. They will get primo bucks considering the proximity to the super bowl.
I firmly believe the stadium was a crooked land deal involving a politician and his son and heavily influenced by libbiests from MGM but you don’t just make that video. It’s complicated and impossible to prove.

about the deals made. But they are rumors, and we all know people love those stories but you have no hard evidence.

Last May 2023, I signed up to volunteer. The swag would be worth it! But since I live out-of-town, the other travel-costs were not “in the cards” for me and I didn’t follow through with the volunteering. The volunteering g for the Super Bowl organization did not guarantee any viewership time. It is what it is. I’m an OG of over 39 months to this channel. Great story Steven!

It did. Additionally, defaults on those accounts as reported by the big credit card debt holders are through the roof.

My hope is that the F1 in Vegas failed so miserably that they scrap that idea going forward (wishful thinking, I know). The Super Bowl is a helluva lot more popular than Formula One racing and will be a financial windfall for Vegas. Steven, I've been a fan of your channel for a very long time. Love your honesty, transparency, quality work and determination. You started out worrying too much about any negative comments people leave, when the overwhelming opinion of those who watch you think you're great. I'm happy that you let that stuff roll off your back a lot more now. I live in San Diego just 4.5 hours away I'm renting my shed w/a air mattress for $1223.00 a night + $82.57 parking fee and $110 "resort" fee TAXES INCLUDED !! . it's way better then any OYO hotel {On Your Uwn}🏈

When you first said OYO hotel I thought you met the old San Remo/Hooters hotel, casino. I have stayed there many times and didn't find it that bad, being right across the street from MGM and just east of the soon to be closed Tropicana. And it had slots that actually paid once in a blue moon.
Just to be clear this was meant as satire. A dig at people taking extremes and paying those prices for a dump.

Steve, I have been noticing police cars from California municipalities parked at the Sheratons and Marriotts around the city where I assume the officers are bunking up. Is the Superbowl contracting with out of state police agencies to provide extra security this week-end ? Holy cow ! How much are they paying for these out of state details ?
That’s ridiculous, it’s like a 2 night long News Years Eve Party. We have plenty of police for this, we have security for this, federal law enforcement, this isn’t this towns first rodeo. Wow

@@fauxlklore That is probably right. I saw quite a number of K9 units from Alhambra, Carson, Cerritos, El Monte, etc. It is either the NFL or Clark Cty. contracting out. It's called a detail.

No and we likely won’t. They throw huge numbers around and don’t actually disclose in the aftermath. Same with NYE “450,000 people!” And you see it and are like “nope…”
