I am 76 years old and I can ear this music 25 hours a day. From south Italy 🇮🇹

I put “Green River on in my car when I came out of the doctors a couple of months ago mate.
This guy who was probably a similar age as yourself was overjoyed to hear it again. I just sat in the car ,which is a convertible , turned it up and we both just smiled all the way through it.
It was a pretty good experience for me and I dare say him 👍👍.
Oh , I’m from the UK too 👍👍.
You're an old hottie like me! 😂 I too love this music. 🎵 🎶
@@Ann-st8et Ha Ha I. That is the correct answer 🤪🤪.
Just went to Las Vegas to see John Fogerty at 75 he still puts on a GREAT show he has his sons playing with him now and they are good.
All long live Rock’n’Roll
The significance of this concert for him. This was the first time in over 10 years he actually played CCR songs. Big thanks to Dylan and Harrison for talking him into playing his older catalog
When I got back from Vietnam in late 72 or early 73 I saw John Fogerty play in Golden Gate Park. I stood out in the crowd with my short hair among all the hippies. It was a good show. I remember he sang jumbalaya.

"Fortunate Son" still makes me cry. It encapsulates Vietnam. The war never ended because we don't agree whether the US should have been there.
“Fortunate son” is my favorite song from that era ever. But for a few lucky breaks my bones would be lying in the jungle somewhere.
A legend. Every song a hit, a song a classic. So glad I was born in 1955 to appreciate these musicians.

My dad got me hooked on CCR/ John Fogerty at a young age & those times are still some of my best memories as a kid, driving out to go fishing all around Alaska, blaring CCR, his solo albums, etc. In his 70's I FINALLY got to repay him (on some level, ha!) for gifting me such amazing music & memories & got him, my mom, my wife & I tickets to see him live in Bismarck ND, John Fogerty, ALSO in his 70's I believe just ROCKED THE HOUSE for hours! Outstanding singer, songwriter, guitarist & performer. Hats off. Yet another amazing memory to keep with me. 👍

Hi John - I´m brasilian - 70 years old and your BIG FAN ...ALL THE TIME
It's great how John welcomed the Veterans back home, even encouraging them "to drop it," if only it had been that ez. My dad n uncles had returned home from the wars being haunted for yrs trying to cope, my dad had suffered the most. I still remember watching the men returning home from Vietnam n other countries, seeing them being literally spit at n on, being called vulgar names among other things that aren't worth mentioning. Even tho they were drafted from 18 yrs old on up, my dad was only 17. They weren't given much of a choice n had orders to follow. Two of my uncles had been shot, wounded n were fortunate to make it out alive n back home. I was a lil girl n remember how different n changed they were.
I thank God that our ppl (Shoshone-Paiute tribes) hv always welcomed our tribe's Veterans back home honoring them no matter. Unfortunately, there was one of the young men who was Pow/Mia, who's always honored n never forgotten.
My son's a 3rd generation Veteran, US Navy Medical Corpsman n was sent to Afghanistan 4 times with the Marines. He had chosen to follow his uncles, grandfathers (US Army/Marine Corp) n great grandfather (US Army WWII) God bless all of USA's Veterans along with the active servicemen n women*
I have nothing but respect for those who serve however we need to attempt to stop the need for them. Perhaps I'm a dreamer but I wish your family never had to be in that situation. Thank you
amen - I give kudos to you and your ppl for your great attitude

I note John’s tears during this concert, heart felt , for all our neglected, brave Vets! I was one of the overflow crowd at the Minneapolis Auditorium, on a very hot August 22, 1969 to hear CCR- John never said a single word between songs !! As a Med Student I got out, pure luck, friends did not, let us never repeat this folly. Pray for America, we are in bad times! Thank God for Fogerty!
yes, USA now in bad times...So - hold on. Bad times never can`t be finished quck. I am from Russia and never forget how bad we felt when USSR broke...Somey day on streets - shooting, sometimes - burst; income dropped down dramatically. We finally succeed to recovered , but it took very long time. Hold on, I believe you should overcome difficulties. From Russia with love! sorry for rough English..

@@Peter-rl4nc Classic 'Haves and have nots!'
It never ended. My Dad spent 13 months in the jungles of Vietnam and Cambodia. Couldn’t have asked for a better father, but he’s always been tormented. Violent temper outside his family, night terrors to this day. My husband went to Iraq 07 and 12, he died of combat injuries at 34 years old. I deployed to a combat zone too. We are still over there and 25 a day die here, at their own hand. Vietnam vets are the majority of that 25. I heard JF say “you got the shaft but let all that crap go.” It’s impossible when there’s still no help. The military uses you then throws you away when you break.
@@amandanegrete1306 Thanks for sharing. My heart goes to you and your family. I don't know what to say to be honest. Unfortunately, as Fortunate Son alludes to there are no winners in war except for maybe the connected wealthy who profit from the sacrifice of others and their dirty deals. I sincerely hope your father, you and all the vets get more assistance and funding. It is a war crime in itself that the US government spends hundreds of billions on military and they throw pennies into counselling and mental health support to all the men and women who sacrificed their innocence and lives in the belief they are serving their country for what they are told is a good cause.

I’m sixty five years old and have played guitar since I was twelve years old... John was an inspiration... still is...!
One moment, sir! ... I am Argentine. I am 23 years old and have been in rock since I was a child. Same as you. At first I was almost forced by my ancestors to listen to a lot of rock. It was a nightmare at first. Then I began to understand that it was worth it to understand the various stages of music in general. Possibly wrong but, as I see it, rock is the basis of almost everything. May art forgive me but I prefer rock and respect other genres. I have heard some salsa, bolero, reggaeton, folk, ballads, etc. but, I stay with rock. Now, from heavenly music, then, it is something apart. Don't you think so?
I fell in love with this man and his band when I first heard that guitar sound in 'Suzy Q'. Still in love.
My mama, bless her, must've loved it, too, bc soon after, on my birthday, she gave me a cassette player, and CCR's new cassette album. My daddy, bless him, loved the sound, too, and bought me their 2nd album on cassette.
I have all of CCR's and John's albums, and they're just as great now as they were then.
Rock on, John! Thanx so so so much for all the years of great pleasure and memories!
