I dont hear any buzzsaw at all. Just an annoying 'eeeeeeeeeeeeeeee' sitting in front of the engine wont be fun anymore. I had to lower the volume instead of increase it. I didnt hear any buzzsaw until 10:25, and it was drowned out by the 'eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee' piercing sound.
What engine sound? All i hear is 'eeeeee' which is piercing and annoying to the ear. Didnt heat any buzzsaw until 10:25, too bad it was drowned out by aforementioned sound.
FlyingSpartan I disagree. PW1100G has a unique ultra-low pitch sound and a unique howling. Furthermore is more quiet and less thirsty than the rival LEAP. It has its own soul unique as any other engine
The PW engines on an a321/a320neo still has a buzzsaw, but the buzzsaw of the PW is rare and a bit more less pitch unlike the cfm leap, you can hear the sweet sweet growl.
You still have a "buzz" from the CFM LEAP-1A engines because the front fan spins much faster than the geared front fan on the PW1127G engine found on some A320neo's.
Its ironic you say that, when airbus is the one that KILLS THE SOUL OF AVIATION, with its joysticks and cheap flat boring looking plastic cockpits and flying contraptions!
I'm a fan of all things aviation and feel very protective of everything that makes aviation what it is - exciting and adventurous and that, by definition, puts me on the opposite side of airbus in every way!!
Different versions of the same engine. I don't know the exact specifications but each variant of the LEAP has different thrust ratings along with other minor differences.
NO....And it will hurt sales.. P&W engine will continue to improve as exotic materials are introduced. In fifteen years the P&W engine will be 5-10% more efficient..... Game over!
I would add that the PW is currently not working that great as many airlines are having problems with them which include aircraft groundings. They have the technology and the idea right they just need to actually put some effort into their engines. Airlines are at the stage where they are considering the swap to CFM engines. Not a good look on PW considering they have always had problems with new engines on launch. I'm not hating on PW I just think they need to get their act together.
In the history of production of jet engines, no project has been given more effort then the GTF. I have been involved as a engineer on the GTF in East Hartford for 15 years . By a 30 year old agreement with GE , the GE engine is the exclusive for the 737. You tell me , which engine will dominate the market when the GTF is 6% more efficient the the Leap?
bedarda Hey I'm not denying the efficiency or anything I just stated a well known fact about PW and that is that they are know for botched launches. It hurt them with the 747, 767, 777, 757, A318 and now the Neo family of aircraft. They have excellent engines but they almost always have teething problems that last a while and hurt sales. Hopefully they get the GTF fixed as quick as they say.
Good to see that at least one of the two new engines actually buzzes still.
Yes, the one that e.g. Lufthansa uses ( I'm not sure which one they are ) have nearly no buzz...
The engines that Lufthansa uses are the PW1000G engines.
damn everybody is sneezing in the airplane
AIRBUS A320 BEAUTIFUL AIRCRAFT and good PERFORMANCE !!! 😎😎😎👍👍👍.
Man kann ja sagen, was man will... Diese Aussicht und Landschaft ist einfach GRANDIOS!

Lovely footage! Although I would say your best video is "Best of Aviation 2014". Hands down!
Oh, thank you very much!
I hope it wasn't rude, I wasn't criticizing this video :P
But that video is my favorite aviation video on YT. I watch it once a week, regularly!
Wow, that's so awesome, thank you very much!
I had a question, can I monetize videos having audio from NCS?
what?
Gesundtheit!
WELL DONE!!
Nice Video Bud. Those CFMs do make a nice sound.
If you like noise...the CFM is your baby!
Wow that was really cool!! amazing video! love the lightning!!

Danke für 1 tollen Kommentar :D
Brilliant video!
Thank you!:)
Great Video!
Stunning video mate! Great job! :)
Thank you!
The CFM Leap edition has a buzz caw unlike the PW 1000
Yeah true
I dont hear any buzzsaw at all. Just an annoying 'eeeeeeeeeeeeeeee' sitting in front of the engine wont be fun anymore. I had to lower the volume instead of increase it. I didnt hear any buzzsaw until 10:25, and it was drowned out by the 'eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee' piercing sound.
I love it great sound, :)
Thanks bro
Fantastic mate! :)
Thank you!:)
Ahh, the LEAP sounds awesome, still has that beautiful engine sound. Unlike the PW, which sounds soulless
FlyingSpartan Leap Sounds like a Symphony orchestra

Whoever disliked this doesn't have a soul
Haha thanks!
Randolph Clarke more like Dis I like

Dannie Pushkin Typical boeing fanboy....
I'm a fan of all things aviation and feel very protective of everything that makes aviation what it is - exciting and adventurous and that, by definition, puts me on the opposite side of airbus in every way!!
fast taxi
schönes Video! aber das Ding klingt wie ein Staubsauger;)
Stimmt :D Danke!
It sounds almost similar to GE CF6.
can somebody tell me why the CFM LEAP buzzes on the A320neo, but not on the 737 Max?
Different versions of the same engine. I don't know the exact specifications but each variant of the LEAP has different thrust ratings along with other minor differences.
The P&W fan tip speed is subsonic, thanks to the gearbox... Much quieter!
bedarda I already know that. Thanks though.
They are supersonic still on the PW1100G, but they deadened the sound somehow
Julio Romeresto yeah. Well at least I'm glad both types of engines still buzz. (At a certain altitude, that is)
Does the CFM LEAP use a gearbox?
NO....And it will hurt sales.. P&W engine will continue to improve as exotic materials are introduced. In fifteen years the P&W engine will be 5-10% more efficient..... Game over!

The Bombardier CS100/300 are definitely quieter.
Too much rattling.
I've never been onboard one, hope to fly it soon!
This is a320 with sharklets, not a320 neo (next engine option)
A320 NEO is sharklets and new engines
