First Run of Amtrak #1 Under New Schedule

This video shows the first run of Amtrak Train #1 under its new schedule. As of May 7, 2012, the westbound Sunset Limited departs Houston at 6:55 PM instead of 9:50 PM allowing us in Sugar Land, 20 miles west of Houston, to view the train in daylight.

WOW! This train is short! Usually there's 3-4 coaches on the back and a tag-along sleeper at the end. I film this train in the outskirts of Los Angeles quite often, so it's amazing I've never seen it that short.

Will the Texas Eagle be going all the way into LA or only operate between Texas and Chicago
