I stopped using mousse ( tried about 3 different brands, all still made the matting/tangles worse). Started using just distilled water and braid gel every week (and oiling the scalp) and it worked amazingly well and even kept the frizz down.
I’m on my 2nd set and I love it. I did do human hair for my leave out. Yes she is 100% right about the need for maintenance but compared to dealing my own hair it’s a win! 30 minutes every week or two….. worth it!
I wanted to leave this one tip because that hair gives everything okay!! OIL FREE Human and Synthetic hair shine ❤ It has a very light slip so it makes it super easy to detangle with your fingers. My specific brand is Bonfi Natural UV protector and Vitamin E. Hope this helps someone out there😊
Ok, update: I’m a month in with synthetic hair. I found a page that gave me the key to keeping it up. It’s tedious but you’ll only have to do it like once a week, then basically separate them daily when you wake up with light maintenance. Use gel and a hair spray to seal them. Then moose to maintain them if you see any that need a little help. Snip the hairs that start to ball and matte. Last tip is to always separate from the bottom because if you do it form the top it’s a guaranteed tabgle
I’ve never had braids before and I will get some next week. I have no idea how to take care of them and was wondering how ppl kept the curls looking so good. Thank you so much!!!
So the last time I had bohemian knotless braids I didn't to anything and it stayed pretty the entire time. But, thank you for the tips. I will take your advice.
Thank you so much for this!!! I'm around the three week mark, and I'm STRUGGLING to upkeep these braids! 🙃😖 I'm going to try out your method and cross my fingers that it works!! 💕
What type of curled sythetic did you use please. Brazillian bulk, deep wave or somethting else. Have just put waterwaves in and big mistake. The curls get so matter over night
First time getting boho with synthetic. Question do you mousse everyday or how often should? And at night should I section my hair to jumbo braids for overnight to maintain it?
I have boho braids. I think I need a moose. Lol Your hair looks good after adding it. I don't think I will do this style again though. I might just do regular braids next time. Lol
This question is for anybody who can help. I got my braids done 3 days ago and the bottoms have gone from a curl, to a crinkle and I feel like they're about about to be flat. What can I do? Any suggestions would be appreciated!
Do you own any flexi rods by chance? If the hair is synthetic, you can wrap them around a flexi rod that is the size you like, and then re dip them in hot water to set the curl
Ooops 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂well I guess I got start over lol cause I washed my and curls ok but idk maybe more moose lol and a run through but this is my first time. Thank u! ❤
I don't ever believe anything when it comes to this hair, I tried the synthetic and Knot! Then I tried human YWIGS and still I'm saying Y and Knot!😢 Add insult to injury having to threaten YWIGS for a refund took 2 months. Geesh😂😅😢
@@tanyaanderson8128 It is synthetic hair hence the hair being all matted. She used a bulk curly synthetic hair. She just doesn't know what type of curl it is cause her braider didn't give her much info about it.
How do you know if it’s real or not? She said it’s real and at the top it feels real but the ends (though tangly) feel not real. Maybe because it’s matted?
I tie a scarf on my hair with a majority of the hair on top of my head (pineapple style) and then put a bonnet over it! Anything to prevent the curls from rubbing up against things!
Even with human hair it does this and it looks dry I don’t like this braid style for me I will be taking mines out I got a shorter style not feeling it
Ladiess avoid the tangling in the first place get the human hair (if you can) it's SO worth the extra coins trust me, and care for it like your own!! 🫶🏽 Your braids are so cute!!
Not everyone wants to wear braids for a month. Might not makes sense to you but it's not for you. So. Ppl have to do what works for them as you do what works for you. Just something to CONSIDER
I used mousse and got to be gel. It works great
I agree with the front 2 pieces 😅 Fight for it 😂🤣😉 They do make your hairstyles pop! X
You feel me!😂 front pieces are crucial LOL

Hi, do you apply the mousse after washing your hair? or should avoid washing it?
this is a good technique! i started using mousse and got2be gel and it lasted a little longer.
Thank you so much for this vid. I just got some boho faux locs and I want to make sure I maintain them as long as I can!
Of course! I rocked mine for 2 months😊
how long did yours last. I'm trying to learn how to get my braids to last longer.

I really thought I messed mine up but this is normal! Thank you for teaching us
Happy to help!🥰🩵
just put moose and hair oil and plait it at nights.
I’m on day two and I can already feel the regret seeping in.
Sameee day 3 for me
Same
😩 sorry ladies. If crochet was available, would you get this style to save time and money? Did yall do synthetic or human hair? Thanks.
omgggg i did this style on sunday and i regret this style so muchhh. i detest fuzzy hair

Hey 👋🏽 beautiful ❤️ I needed this I just bought a boho synthetic wig and I'm going to try that.. haven't wore it yet. 😊tfs
So the last time I had bohemian knotless braids I didn't to anything and it stayed pretty the entire time. But, thank you for the tips. I will take your advice.
How long do they usually last?
Did you use synthetic hair?
What kind of hair did you use
There looks to be a lot more out strands then I have seen before, you have done so well to keep your curls nice
Thank you! My greatest tip is to keep my hands out of my hair and sleep with a bonnet. That way this process doesn’t have to be repeated often!😊
Thank you so much for this!!! I'm around the three week mark, and I'm STRUGGLING to upkeep these braids! 🙃😖 I'm going to try out your method and cross my fingers that it works!! 💕
Absolutely!🩵 I rocked mine for 2 months! I have my final update on tik tok
Thanks girl! I appreciate you!! ❤@@MissMaryyyy
I love the curl pattern of curly hair you chose
What type of curled sythetic did you use please. Brazillian bulk, deep wave or somethting else. Have just put waterwaves in and big mistake. The curls get so matter over night
Any type of curly hair I braid up at night. It helps keep the curl pattern and saves the ends ✨

You are soooo pretty! Thanks for this and I’m going to get that mouse I have an ulta like 5 minutes away lol- your braider did a good job
Thank you! I hope you like it🩵
I have human hair boho and I just spray with a little rose water and a little hair sheen.
Hi, could you please tell me what brand of curly hair your braider used? I'm looking to find it myself
I would definitely get human hair instead of synthetic or a blend.
I have boho braids. I think I need a moose. Lol Your hair looks good after adding it. I don't think I will do this style again though. I might just do regular braids next time. Lol
On my first set of these ❤, thank you for this!
Girl wet those dry hairs and play thru them they will loosen. 😂
You’re so beautiful!😍 Thanks for this video.

does olive oil work cuz my braids are a mess but idk what kinde mouse i should use?
Thank you so much ❤ it's not easy to get natural hair so I will do that. How do you do when you go to bed?
I'm ready to take mines out I have the boho crochet's the worst ideal to get!!!
Thanks …. I really needed this❤❤❤
Absolutely🩵
Your braids are beautiful 😍
Question, could you IN THEORY use synthetic for the braids and human hair for the curls?
Yes, you can! The maintenance will be much easier as well!
That’s why it’s worth doing it with ALL HUMAN HAIR 😊
Both styles require maintenance. This is for the ladies who would like to save some coin and still rock the style😊
@@MissMaryyyylike me which is how I found this video 😂😂😂 my braids 280 w/o the hair
Everyone can’t afford human hair.
I guess 🫤
I ended up getting no name human hair it worked perfect for the girls who want a cheaper brand that does the job!
Thank you for this tutorial and the products used. Totally helps!!
Absolutely! Thanks for watching🩵🩵🩵
This is so funny I literally just put that mousse in my Amazon cart😭
Ooops 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂well I guess I got start over lol cause I washed my and curls ok but idk maybe more moose lol and a run through but this is my first time. Thank u! ❤
Girl that’s okay! I wash my curls too but I usually space it out over 2 weeks
What curly hair is this? I didn’t have any issues with my synthetic hair. Once I knew it required work, it was no problem.
What products do you use?
@@niya1761 shine & jam mousse, & control wig spray. A dream together.
Beautiful 😍 I am just wondering did u dip your braids in a hot water.
Yes :) but only the ends. She steamed the boho part
Ait.. Mousse, hair oil, and night braids every... Day?
What kind of synthetic hair did you use❤️?
What kind of mousse is that you're using? You purchased it at Ulta?
The best thing is not to put in too much curls extension when braiding
I don't ever believe anything when it comes to this hair, I tried the synthetic and Knot!

Hi. Which hair did you use for your curls
what hair did you use for the curls?
My braider said the hair is isn’t branded. She uses a vendor for bulk 🥲
I loveeeeee this style! What curl is this? Those curls are perfect!
Thank you! Unfortunately my braider didn’t provide me with much detail when I asked her. She said she buys the hair from a vendor in bulk :/
@MissMaryyyy i thought you used synthetic hair? I've looked through all your platforms and don't see anything posted.
@@tanyaanderson8128 It is synthetic hair hence the hair being all matted. She used a bulk curly synthetic hair. She just doesn't know what type of curl it is cause her braider didn't give her much info about it.
i got my goddess braids yesterday and i already regret it
You look like a doll❤❤❤
Thank you☺️🩵
Thank you so much this really helped but just another question how often should we do this ?? ❤❤❤
@@neonotcultured thank you some much god bless 🙌🏾 🙏🏾 💖
@@il0ve_m3. you're welcome and God bless, just be careful with the mouse and don't go too overboard so ur hair looks nice for longer
@@neonotcultured okay thank you 😊 ☺️ 🙏🏾
I do this maybe once a week and in between I just spritz with water to avoid too much product build up😊
@MissMaryyyy oh okay thank youuu 💖🙌🏾🙏🏾🤍⚡️
How long did these last?
What synthetic hair do you use ?
Great video!!
Thanks for this What type of hair is it?
So helpful ❤
Just got my boho braids today (no human hair) lol. I wanna buy that mousse you have
I have the items linked in the description!🩵
I’m getting some this weekend… how is yours holding up? @niya1761
I feel the synthetic one sheds less than human hair, i have human boho locs😭
Agreed!
How do you wrap you hair at night?
Wonderfulll explanation 🤌🤌
Thank you!
How long did it end up lasting
I was told not to use mouse but leave-in conditioner and water
For me, the light hold of the mousse helps reduce frizz since it’s kind of “stuck” together.
Can I use the freezing spray or will it not work as well ?
Freeze spray might cause too much build up for your liking
Any tips of the synthetic 😢
Do you know what hair was used?
Where is the hair from?
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
What's the name of the curly hair?
Your braids look AMAZING …. I cannot believe that it’s dynastic hair I’m convinced it’s human hair and you don’t know it lol
Don’t have time to take out in two weeks. Need something to last
I kept them for 2 months!😊
Use water and miuse to do that why do it dry it only makes it worse
What is the name of the hair?
Unfortunately my braider said she buys in bulk from a vendor and so there isn’t a specific brand for commercial purchases😫
So pretty ❤
Thank you!
They have that mousse your ordering in the beauty supply stores in DFW
Use setting lotion
How do you know if it’s real or not? She said it’s real and at the top it feels real but the ends (though tangly) feel not real. Maybe because it’s matted?
Hiiiii!! How do you sleep? Hope you see my message

Sorry you had that experience! I will say I kind of like that “messy look” so that makes sense.
3days😥
…or just get human hair when you want this look and anticipate it lasting awhile
