Fascinating and really concise comparison. My flexilla hose is the best hose on my three acre garden and I own a lot of hoses. I just wish more of the stores I shop at carry them... Hello @Costco
After reading the comments I’ve come to a couple conclusions. Some people are just negative, and these same people can’t roll up a hose. Good video by the way.
thanks for the fantastic and extremely helpful video! subbed! Question 1) how do people store the swivel grip hose if not a hose reel? Question 2) Can both hoses work with third-party quick connect kits? (for eg, I'm hoping to use a metal Yardworks quick connect set with these hoses. Thanks so much!!!
The Flexzilla adjustable sprayer doesn’t work with the quick connects that come with the hose. Spent twelve dollars separately on it and can’t use it. So that’s an added expense since you have to buy a separate connector for the sprayer.
Hi @thaismatsumoto, are you talking about the 3-Piece Nozzle Kit here: www.flexzilla.com/water/quick-connect-garden-hose-fittings/ If so, that one should have everything you'd need to connect the included nozzle with the hose using that quick connect. If that's not the one you mean then let me know and I might be able to help.
Yea, getting the right technique to roll it onto the hose hanger without adding kinks took me a while. It's easy with a light hose, thankfully all Flexzilla hoses are lightweight.
You have to flip and loop; flip and loop. I'm learning on my new flexzilla right now. Remember flip... Then put it on the hose hanger then grab another section and flip. Once you figure that out beauteous
Flexzilla hoses will kink. The important part is the hose won't 'remember' the kink and keep kinking at that spot. I honestly won't use any other brand of hose.
Well i use this for my water line for my pressure washer trailer setup. Cons: My issue with them is that they start to curling up and it's a pain to straighten them out when water and pressure are in the line. Yes, they still do kink. No one can make a kink free hose. Pros: There're light weight, very visible.
@@michaelc7283 Yea, the main advantage of the SwivelGrip is that it drastically reduces the chance of memory and kinks because you can unwind it just by pulling on the hose. Since the garden hose doesn't have that, it can occasionally get kinked up.
It would be nice if Flexzilla would make a hose 🐍 that would have both ↔️ one Pro Spiral Bend Restrictor and one Swivel Grip! Best of both worlds when using a hose reel 🌀.
It's more important to compare these popular 'shrink hoses' that are promoted 'big time' in home warehouse stores, to regular garden hoses. Imo, shrink hoses are absolute GARBAGE!
@@WBToolNews I feel like if it’s spread out before turning the water on, it’s ok - but when the water is turned on and it’s not all uncoiled - it does kink.

You can also coil these on the ground, or on a wall hangar. Also they are standard measurements for hoses, so third party quick connect should work!
Great video. Can I use the flexilla quick connects with the swivel head? Thanks!
Yes, absolutely!

Finding it a pain to wrap around my hose hook when I’m done. Kink and straighten kink and straighten

They are good hoses, but they tends to get kinked up and memory in the same spots.

I have yet to find one I really like...
They are really useful for the right task.
Well that’s not correct / it kinks immediately- even swivel grip
Sorry to hear that @DaniD76! We had pretty good luck with this hose!

Sorry. You sound like an ad FOR Flexzilla.
Thumbs DOWN.
We might, but that's because we reaaaaally like these hoses!
