- I got a lot of feedback regarding my camera comparison between the two and just want to address some of the valid criticism people gave me.
So here my second take on the two best flagship camera smartphones to date.
What do you think about the adjusted ranking?

I recently saw a video of a chinese youtuber analyzing the X7 Ultra's cameras and he showed how the zoom algorithm only kicked in at 300mm which is why Oppo added a shortcut button to that focal length. That explains why the Vivo is slightly sharper at the in-between zoom ranges and Oppo is again competitive at the longer range zoom. Hopefully Oppo can bring this algorithm for all zoom ranges in an update.

Whats funny is that there are other youtubers who are definitely lazy as..s claiming that they're doing all the hard work, very busy bla bla. All they do is just keep the same short, idiotc comparisons that noone is really asking for. So, a big applause for you. Great job!
Tech specs of these photos are worth noticing - they often show the advantage of Oppos sensor. For example (1:44): Oppo shot taken with ISO 1250 and 1/33s, while VIVO shot it at: ISO 1408 and 1/17s. So we got slower shutter at higher ISO on VIVO.
In my opinion the Vivo X100 Pro is a winner...⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I think you can't go wrong with both phones but if im going to choose i will go for Oppo.

I really appreciate your work, it's again another great comparison. I agree with basically everything you said, I am only still not convinced about the 20x winning for the Oppo but the difference is so small that I guess personal opinion can take over 😂

Both are neck to neck, but depending on the situation I like the no sharpening way of the Oppo, looks more like picture you'd take with a real camera. But Vivo's processing is also good despite a bit oversharpened most of the times......and sometimes it works.

Nein kann ich mir nicht vorstellen. Ben's Gadget Reviews hat die globale Version getestet. Sah genauso aus, wenn nicht sogar besser als die chinesische Version

Nice work on the part 2... Having own both and I still can't decide which one to keep. I really like the sharpness of Vivo's processing algorithm but I sometime prefer color rendering and soft tone from Oppo. They are pretty much neck to neck this year. Can't wait for the Vivo X100 Pro+ ( Ultra )

You did great job, really. Not half-assing like the rest just to get it out first.
Maybe you should change points system. In overall points more important things should have higher share and impact. Like main camera cant be same as extra features or UI. Also maybe adding portrait segmement scoring.
The main camera has 20% impact the ui and extra features 5% each. So yeah there is a weighting already

Seems the Oppo is better at close range (macro) and the Vivo at mid and longer ranges. Will wait for your Honor Magic 6 Pro comparison with the Oppo and go for the winner

I'll go for the X7 Ultra after this video. It has so much potential to upgrade itself.
Sadly, they totally gave up on video. It's a slick phone but BBK wants Vivo to be the video king, I'm really into low light video and am european, so sadly to me I will have to wait half a year because of the European bands, we can get the X100 Ultra Chinese version cheaper than the Global X100 Pro... Sorry for the venting, I'm a bit disappointed in the brand 😅
@@AlexandreG I'd buy both if I had enough money though :)) But I've been using Oppo phones for 10 years, so I guess I got used to it. Sadly I can't buy from Oppo directly anymore, I'm from Vietnam. Notification delay will be a big problem.
@@inhucduy677 I don't know if it's available for your country, but for europe Trading Shenzhen and Wondamobile work great. Might be 20% more expensive than buying directly from Oppo China. If I had tons of money I would probably have 6 different ones too 😅
Best Vivo, Oppo, Samsung, Xiaomi, Huawei and Google. As things stand nowadays would never have an Apple though, I don't even know what those things are useful for 😟

Yeah timelapse is 1080p and Log mode is missing from movie mode still. Hopefully they will add it back in with a software update

I can't believe ... Oppo introduced new smartphone new lineup called Ultra supposed to be real "Ultra" . I found out that OnePlus 11/12 and Oppo Find N3 Flip has 4k Time lapse and LOG movie mode . It is ridiculous

Abit disappointed to see that the ultrawide is a downgrade from x6 pro. Do you think further updates could improve it or its limited by the sensor size?
Maybe a bit improvment is possible. But yeah sensor size limits it specifically in lower light conditions

Nice work. Has anybody found what exactly is the wide angle sensor in Vivo x100 pro? Is it better or the same as in Xiaomi 14 Ultra´s wide angle? Very difficult to shoose between Vivo x100 pro and Xiaomi 14 ultra.
Ultrawide angle you mean? Thats the S5KJN1 from Samsung on the Vivo. The Xiaomi 14 Ultra has the Sony IMX858 as ultrawide angle.

Love the test. Please keep people in the shots because I often take photos of people and not subjects. To me, it's clear that vivo x100 pro makes you look like a ghost (so does the Xiaomi 13 Ultra) while the oppo looks the best.

@@lltechviewhonestly, the honor magic 6 pro is underwhelming (according to Hans tech talk). Don't waste your money on it. If anything the honor magic 6 RS edition is one to wait for (should be released by April)

Yes. I tested them in a store and actually felt that x100 is better in quite a few scenario

Hi. Do you have the global version of vivo x100 pro? If yes, can you tell me if there is support for DC dimming on the whole brightness range (like in the Chinese version)? The option is set up in the developer menu (you need to quickly tap on the software version item in the phone menu and the developer menu will appear)

@@adgreyx Not really. Maybe for you putting apps on a whitelist to not have them killed in the backgrohnd might be something annoying. I find it good as I have the full control of what I really want to run in the background

Which is best for video quality and stability when panning and zooming in? Oppo x7 Ultra, Vivo x100 Pro or Pixel 8 Pro? I'm really torn. I love the more natural photos of Pixel but I'll be using the phone for videos more. I'd also be zooming in on mountains a lot. Thanks.
Vivo X100 Pro gets zooming better than Oppo. Same level or very close to the iPhone.
Panning they all are good. Just colours I prefer the less contrasty look from Oppo.
But all three of those have excellent video quality

Bei meinem Vivo X100 Pro EU Version sind die Ping und Jitter- Werte extrem hoch. Habe mehrere Test gemacht, mit unterschiedlichen Geräten und Einstellungen.
Besonders über mein MacBook M2 bekomme ich Werte PING: 140-600 und Jitter bis hin zu 4632.82.
Im Vergleich dazu mit einem 4 Jahre alten Smartphon das sind die Werte PING: 30-45 Jitter:7.
Bin darauf gestoßen, weil Webseiten lange benötigt haben, um zu öffnen.
Sobalt ich das Gerät wechsel auf meine Alter Handy läuft alles normal.
PS: Reset durchgeführt, Einstellungen kontrolliert. 2,4 und 5 GHz getestet.
Bitte um eure Erfahrungen.

Hallo, und danke für deine Antwort.
Damit ich mögliche Fehlerquellen eliminiere habe ich es mit vier oder fünf Speedtests Seiten getestet und die Ergebnisse waren ca gleich.
Besonders über speed.cloudflare konnte ich am besten nachvollziehen wo das Problem liegt.
Jitter und Paketverlust sind bei mir sehr hoch.
Aktuell direk am VIVO X100 PRO (Funtouch OS 14 ) sind die Jitter-Werte zwischen 50-120ms bei der Messung über cloudflare. Das ist aber auch der beste Wert den ich erhalte.
In mehreren Tests habe ich im Durchschnitt Paketverluste zwischen 5-10 % festgestellt.
Ohh. Ansonsten ist das Vivo super und die Kamera auch perfekt. Echt schade. Werde mich nun an den Hädler wenden.
Vielleicht findet sich hier jemand der auch es mit Funtouch OS 14 hat und ein paar Test machen kann. Falls ich so postivie Information bekomme, dann versuche ich es noch einmal zu kaufen.

@@jan_creator Hast du das an einem WLAN zu Hause nur getestet oder an multiplen? Evtl. mag das Vivo deinen eingetragenen Kanal nicht, oder anders als die anderen Smartphones kommt es sich mit einem anderen Gerät auf gleicher Frequenz in die Quere.
Ich habe es mit meiner SIM-Karten getestet und habe ca. 30 Mal gewechselt. Zusätzlich habe ich weitere Kombinationen mit meinem MacBook M2 und Smartphone als WiFi hotspot getestet. Heute Versuche ich es an einem anderen Ort über das örtliche WLAN. Ich bin mir aber schon sicher dass es hierbei um ein technisches Problem beim Vivo handelt. Die Frage ist ob es nur mein Gerät betrifft oder ob es ein generelles Problem ist bei den EU Modellen. Auf Grund der bisherigen Tests befürchte ich das es nicht auf mein beschränkt sein wird.
Deshalb würde ich mich freuen wenn die Community hier Feedback gibt. Wenn also ander einenTest machen könnten wo man jitter und latency sieht 🙏🤗.Ich Frage deshalb weil das Vivo mir ansonsten gefällt.@@lltechview

The Vivo does a lot of things with the V3 Chip, a lot of AI.
Heeeeyyyyy... How is that? 26:10 Sumatory in Vivo X100 Pro is 35.8 and the Oppo Fiand X7 Ultra is 35.2... Vivo = 4.475 and the Oppo = 4.4
I fixed it now. What it does now is calculating the result += rating * weight
I removed the dividing by total of weights as this one is 1 anyway. And yeah toFixed(3) rounds everything to 3 decimal numbers. So no more weird long ratings now.
Pytałem kiedyś odnośnie, magic 5 Pro ale finalnie kupiłem p60 pro genialny telefon możliwości foto super i to makro, ale gdybym chciał zmienic na cos jeszcze lepsze pod katem zdjęc to x7 ultra czy vivo 100 pro..?
I once asked about magic 5 Pro, but in the end I bought a p60 pro, it's a brilliant phone, it has great photo capabilities, including macro, but if I wanted to change it to something even better in terms of photos, would it be x7 ultra or vivo 100 pro?

Missing Notifications on AOD, Android Auto missing, Google Assistant not configurable to appear on shortcut or swipe.
Google Wear not working with global units
These are the ones coming immediately to mind.

Bitte um Unterstützung. Ich kann kein Audio über Bluetooth-Kopfhörer aufnehmen :( Audioausgabe funktioniert, aber keine Aufnahme (JBL 230NC, Mpow). Dies funktioniert nicht mit Kamera und anderen Aufnahme-Apps. Alle Einstellungen/Berechtigungen sind aktiviert. // I can't record audio via Bluetooth headphones :( Audio output works but no recording (JBL 230NC, Mpow). This doesn't work with camera and other recording apps. All settings/permissions are enabled.
Mit welchem Smartphone? Nicht alle unterstützen das. Huawei und Honor haben das z.B. Vivo nur mit Vivo TWS und Oppo nur mit den Enco X2. Xiaomi kann das gar nicht nur mit der Drittanbieter App MonoMono

Google Assistant funktioniert - aber leider funktioniert es nicht mit der Kamera, hier ist auch Bluetooth Mikrofon nicht verfügbar bzw. wird nicht unterstützt.
Laut Webseite von JBL: JBL Tune 230NC TWS
Also sollte es funktionieren.
Kann das jemand testen ob bei ihm seine Kopfhörer unterstützt werden und hier posten ggf. welche er verwendet.

Vom VIVO SUPPORT: "Wir sollten erwähnen, dass die meisten Headsets bei der Aufnahme von Videos keine Sprachaufzeichnung unterstützen. Bei Verwendung dieser Funktion sollte in der Kamera-App eine Benachrichtigung erscheinen, dass nur einige Vivo-Kopfhörer dies unterstützen.

Watching both videos vivo in my opinion won more picture comparisons like the main camera, night shots,macro shots so honestly not sure how oppo is on top??? Doesn't really add up..also maybe with the new 4k selfie update you should test that

I fixed the calculation. It does not make sense to add up all ratings * weight and then divide by the sum of weights (which is 1 anyway) and javascript doing its thing with ints divided by floats. So now the rating is adjusted I am rounding up to 3 decimals always. (which is enough anyway)
So Oppo and Vivo have the exact same points now.

cause the Vx100p.is higher 1points on Uw cam while on OFX7U is higher 1points on Video recording so its a tie
then will go to front cam which higher 3pts on OFX7U while vx100p higher 4pts on camera ui and 3pts on extra features total 7pts - 3pts so the gap is 4pts
then why OFX7U is the top 1 on your list
See the weighting in the page of each phone. The weighting for video is higher than the camera ui and extra features.
