That comes out to 1 bundle every 4 minutes which is totally doable if you shingle at a decent pace. I mean hell, we just watched the guy in the video above lay down about a square in 4.5 minutes!
It’s funny everytime I browse through these videos it all straight nailing and the surface is already prepped ( Base sheet is already down with roof measured out already with no pipes valley’s dormers chimneys ETC, and also the left side is always complete before the big time nailers start their thing
There’s no need to try to roof fast around pipes or through valleys. Those should look nice and be done correct. Anyone trying to fly through those will either do it wrong or do a hack job on em. In the open field is where it’s the best to keep a steady paste and go.

A good wind storm will blow that crap right off in a Canadian winter. put the nails in flat even spaced and not in the seam and preferably a bigger than 6 inch stager/step the second one of my guys starts nailing at 100mph that sides getting ripped back off and done to proper standard.
Owner of Hiho roofing & exteriors and have been roofing 15 years and been on my own for 6 so this is a no bs response.
Takes full advantage of the bounce in those basstadges. I know it well. But I could never control it. That's some surgical shyyt. Nothing but money. I bow.
Lifetime dimentionals are 4 bundles per square. Nice
Just enough safety line to hit the ground 😂 but seriously though, homie can throw down! That’s impressive
If roof to be inspected
He had to re nail all the roof again following job requirements
This is 100% the same way I do it. I'm not much slower then him. I love seeing people stip the first outside nail. Then hitting it at it's butted up to the next. Fast as fuck.
He probably has a good bostitch nailer, half of those nailers I've bought were piece of crap, I'd better use hitachi, but the work he's done is proper
Boy your fast but crappy nail pattern fail big time your roof would blow off in Ak unethical roofing. This person paid for a quality roof and you should install with quality.
I dont get why he puts the first nail in later but I like how he works, I do it the same the nailer comes with a gauge so we use it fastest way
@layne stayley learn how to fucking spell before you call me an idiot
@layne stayley fucking crackhead mom jokes are in the past you fucking 10 year old
He misses end nail u cam say he gets it on the next run up but he didnt
There is a plastic tab that should be removed on the back of each shingle to expose the glue. He is not doing that. That installation will fail when wind is strong enough. Bast and bad.
All fine and dandy but I doubt he is following the manufacturer's nailing schedule which means no warranty.
Give this guy a damn medal. This is Phenomenal.
This is Fast and amazing quality. I had a hard time consuming the fact that he landed 99% of his shots on spot and never went off course. Legend man.
He actually missed a lot. Over nailed it in the middle and nailed it too far back from the edges. Go back and stop the video. You'll see. That roof won't meet the manufacturer's requirements for a warranty. 2"-3" from the edge is unacceptable. I know, I'm a roofing inspector with 35 years of experience a 2nd generation roofer. 😉
@@YankeeWoodcraft what you are saying is true but with 35 years that means you know that nails are not the most important thing to keep the shingles on the roof if the tar dose not sick you can put 10 nails and it will still blow off. from what i have see most people dont have the right nailing pattern any way the nails are to be evenly spaced on the shingles. with that being said this guy is still fast and if he would get used to nailing different he would still be just as fast.
@@kelbybueckert8434 Agreed. If he got his nail placement squared away, I'd dare say he'd be even faster. I know I was when I was runnin' & gunnin'. 😉
@@YankeeWoodcraft manufacturers' warranties are asinine on purpose lmao
nothing wrong with that install
Yeah he’s got about three or four more good years in him then he’s gonna have to go out and be an estimator cause his backs gonna be shot to shit…. like every Roofer ever….
can anyone explain why does he start so far in? dont you need nails across the entire piece??
Putting opened bundles every 6 feet or so definitely helps so your not running around the place for shingles
C H I N G O N !!!!!
Look how much hes fuckin dropping by tho! Yeah you can get it done fast but fuck the roofs gonna be dog shit
😂😂😂😂 God Damn! And Donald Trump wants to throw these dudes out of the country! (?)
Phillip Beleiu from Quebec was as fast or faster he worked from the side looking down each row
Hey my friend can you give me the name that kind of shingles roofing 👍. Thanks ✌️
And that folks is how it's done. No bs someone feeding shingles , what a waste!
Doesnt nail the ends until he runs the next run which eliminates that little bit of wasted movement you use to nail the ends
On you tube
They show were to put the nails you might have to watch were the nails go and how many
Anybody know what manufacturer of the gun he is using? I’m a retired journeyman electrician so my hats off to any tradesman. Jeez…he even changed the coil of nails fast!
@@funnyharleyman Bostich
Did my garage today me and 1 other person I nailed when that gave me shingles went through 15 bundles in 1 hour
Must have been some skinny bundles cuz ive shingled for 15 years and i know thats not possible
how long did the garage take?
Except you didn’t because that’s impossible. If you’re at a good pace you’ll put on 15 square in a whole day.
You do realize that 3 bundles make 1 square? Straight gravy runs.... like a garbage, 3 square an hour is easy. You ain't making money if you're doin anything less.
Fredrick Ring you must be a slower roofer then because 15 bundles (5 square) an hour is nowhere near impossible. That comes out to 1 bundle every 4 minutes which is totally doable if you shingle at a decent pace. I mean hell, we just watched the guy in the video above lay down about a square in 4.5 minutes!
I nailed down a square in 1 hour and twelve minutes, so I know I am fast.
Pointed left which direction compass galvanized
Eres un perrazo biejon , calá la MAX super roofer ,,, me gustaria saver tu opinion
Saw a nail in the waterline but good shit otherwise. Beast mode
Gotta love them bostich nailers.! Good work.! Keep it between the lines brotha!!! 🤘
Ridgid is lighter and a little faster
@@dillonnj45l.18 Lol Rigid coil nailers may be lighter but they are junk.Dont last very long if you lay many squares everyday. If you only do shed roofs on the weekends you may be ok with rigid..lol Hitachi is ok but when they wear they shoot the nails in crooked...bostich is best.Especially for the price...My opinion.
@@Shift1dwn5up ive only done 600+ squares on the ridgid gun so far it's been great other than it doesn't shoot ridge cap nails for shit jams every other nail its lightweight and faster than any other gun ive used but we'll see how long it last
@@Shift1dwn5up but you are right the bostitch are great never a problem with them
Hitachis are the fastest, or they were a few years back. I have both, the bostitch is slower and more cumbersome somehow. I have thousands of hours on both. The bostitch is like a truck and the hitachi is like a motorcycle.
All these people saying his nails are perfect. No the fuck their not lol.
Wanna piss off neighbors after they hired a roofer.? Play this lol
Jerry Miculek doing his roof
bruh, honestly thats farce.just slowdown 15% and run at least first, middle and last nails on thick strip to make it solid.otherwise its no go for most good paying legit contractors.
purist thundewrath exactly. None of those nails are in the double laminate nail strip. Fail!!
@@robmcdonald5054 I thought that and I'm not even a Shingller
When u loaded your nailgun you put the last two nails on the same shinlge lmao
