Big up I used to do this with cars from Japan usually zero damage that was until government here changed the SVA Testing requirements. Was fun but in the winter repairing had to dig deep to get the job done. Was bringing over Mitsubishi FTOs, Nissan Skylines and the odd Honda Type R and Integra's. Done the odd salvage over here and stolen and recovered. Really great memories
I used to buy a lot of salvage do up and sell, in those days not a lot of people did it so you could get decent cars very cheap, they were sold 'as is' and untouched which is how it should be, so no cleaning up as they do now which I find misleads people. I also hear many complaints about parts being stolen and sold separately. Now I find these auctions are full of Polish and Eastern Europeans in general which pushes prices up a lot meaning its rare to find a bargain now, as these cars are very cheap compared to prices in Eastern Europe so these guys are willing to pay a lot more.
How do you get stock sold? I find this the hard part

In respect of Cat U You need to do your research and pay for a 10 min video call of car, but don’t forget that Copart selling fees are way lower than any other car auction. So it makes sense for many to sell via Copart rather than mainstream auctions

You used to be able to get bargains, now these auctions are full of Eastern Europeans and these guys will pay much more as the prices in their countries are much higher.

A lot of money considering the drive shaft and general damage, steering arms may also be bent
The "squiggly coil light" lol can be to do with the fuel system, emissions system and or engine management Dee, not just glow plugs. I am sure you can get it sorted though.

Exactly that. Hence why I stayed at 4100 and not a penny more. Already had a gearbox lined up and i had planed to change it myself.

You should maybe have thought about spending £4800 on a Car and stuck the rest onto your Gas Heating, it ain't Good trying to work when your sitting in the Cold......I'm sure you can make it up somewhere along the build

Could u please advice, can citizen of country Georgia (Tbilisi) buy car at UK copart auction or should I refer to licensed company/person, who buys car at copart on behalf of me and will organise shipping to Georgia?
When you selling your cars if its category U do you still your costumers that it been damaged?
Why would a insurance company not categorise a car after damage and put it straight into Copart!?
Doesn’t make sense to me which is why I always avoid Cat U.

FRAME DAMAGE REPORTED. A front wheel is pushed back so I'm guessing its a bent control arm but would that make them say frame damage?

With diesel cars you need to wait for the glow plugs to heat up a few seconds before cranking it.. it amazes me you dont know that since you work on cars …
I do know tha but it never goes out. Thats the issue. Diagnostics as an error for the glow plugs. I think there knackered 💤 80k on the clock they prob haven’t been ever changed as they last a while. Stay tune for the future episodes i dive into that specifically

Hi thx for the video. Just a question how you deal with the insurance for a cars you will sell . That will increase your fees and minimize your profit or possibly put you on loss. Is there an option where you can get insurance for few days or till you sell the car
You can insure a car by the Hour in The UK if you want so Insurance isn't an issue that way
He doesn't need to Insure any car he buys 8f he is only buying to repair and sell it on.....Why Insure It? If its not being used and getting repaired?

@@SALVAGENATION Maybe, It happened to me in my audi 20 plate, unless something to do with the DPF filter needing to be sorted and could be full of crap , get the dpf cleaned try see if that fixes it, let me know how you get on.. Reason i say that as the soot build up could have a sensor in there and its too full of gunk to keep start stopping, leading maybe to the dash light im referring to
Edit: Squiggly dash light , could be referring to an error in the start stop function, maybe due to the dpf needing a clean because of a or perhaps a blocked sensor sorry mate i got autism, i hope this makes sense.. Basically the cars computer could be going into 'restricted performance mode' to prevent damage. And I think this is the solution to you problem. When your engine management unit detects the excess build up of fumes in your engine, it can refuse to start. Not that this is the case, but note that this is for the safety of the engine, as the ignition process mixing with the fumes can cause major damage. So you referring to the plugs, could be way down the end of the tracks of the underlying issue, I genuinely think this is why you are getting this error on your dash, so get the DPF particulate filter cleaned, let me know how it goes. i hope i helped you in anyway 👍

@@SALVAGENATION now people when you go to buy a merc from dealer or we’re ever ask does it have a Peugeot engine save ur self from disaster, I got a car that has Peugeot engine and a jatco auto gearbox I’ve been to so many garages all over the M25 boundaries they are all tyre mechanics they put the diagnostic tool such as snap on etc no codes they can’t tell what the problem is, taking it to the dealer soon most likely they will misdiagnose it and would want me to spend money on this and that and it will be expensive and might not even work out but will just pay up the £180 diagnostic charge and may not go ahead if it’s to expensive and just sell it on BCA.
It’s a Renault engine, not Puegeot. The engine has been slightly modified by MB as is the transmission.
While working for MB some 8 years ago I had “training” for these (then) new cars. Everything bolted down with a torx is modified by MB was the message!
I was against this concept of using engines from Renault, but looking back these engines have proven to be better then some MB engines…
