Today we start our 3 part "Around Tirana" series, beginning at the Port City of Durres, taking a train to Elbasan and finally visiting Kruje up north. This area of Albania is unique, with a Roman flair from eras long gone tucked away in rolling Balkan hills.

We agree with the points the guide made at the Ampitheatre. We have been in Albania a few weeks and it has definitely proved to us that the people will do anything to help. We enjoyed being able to see the Sea in Durres and then go to the top of the mountain in Tirana. And the food was definitely delicious while still being affordable.

Orthodox Church of Albania or the Albanian Orthodox Church, is an autocephalous Eastern Orthodox church. It declared its autocephaly in 1922 through its Congress of 1922, and gained recognition from the Patriarch of Constantinople in 1937.

Never use the train, its planed for reconstruction, but if you want some adventure maybe get up. Just joking trains are slowly bein dismantled to fit with international standards.
Though I still would wonder why u would take it when you get for the half of the time everywhere. Albanian train are a joke barely keptt aliveuntikk they connect the network with the international one.
Sounds like a Chinese DUREX copycat.
