Insightful video! I loved it. Thank you I have taken Flixbus in the US several times. It has been a good experience. I have traveled to Arizona, Los Angeles, Florida, North Carolina and more. Looking forward to travel at a low cost throughout Europe.
Thank you for sharing Francis, and yes, it certainly is great to travel to several countries when traveling to Europe because traveling within Europe can come at a surprisingly low cost, whether it be a flight or train (as we tend to do, with flights or train rides sometimes easily being under 50 Euros), but we haven't really explored the way of traveling by bus in Europe, so thanks for mentioning Fixbus and sharing your experience :)
Honestly, I have just booked a FlixBus from France to The Netherlands this weekend. I can’t help but feel anxious about my trip since I have seen many and many bad reviews about them. So I really hope, everything goes well!
@@marianapoli3379 hey, so it went really well and they are not a fake company, they do exist. It was 13hours and 50mintues and I slept the whole ten hours since it was really comfortable. The only issue I had is I had a late ticket when I could have chosen a much earlier one, if you want to book, I’d advise you to book each trip separately yourself not the ones they propose. Like I had a bus from Colmar to Brussels from 11pm to 6pm and my next bus at 8:15 to The Hague. But the bus arrived an hour early and I had to wait for one hour and a half in the cold in a dark bus station. I was completely frozen lol, luckily there was a 6:45 am bus going to my destiny for 20euros, I took that one even though I had one booked already.
@@FRANCISCARUSOworld Oh hi, as I described in the last comment it went surprisingly well and I am even consideringing repeating the trip next month. If anything, the bus was comfortable even without researving a seat, I got to enjoy two seats for myself which was amazing. The whole ride was nice, the driver was cool maybe fast but honestly I didn’t feel it but we were an hour early to the arrival destination.
You can save a lot when travelling alone or with a small group of friends. Since having a family, it almost end up being about the same as renting a very small car.
Thank you, great review. I’m travelling for the first time using Flixbus, within the UK, next weekend. From other reviews I’ve seen here on YT, it seems it’s always these alternative buses to the advertised green ones which have the dirty toilets, no hand soap/other necessary washroom provisions. I hope the ones I’m going to be travelling on are the green buses, but if I find them to be equally lacking, their complaints department is not going to stop hearing from me without a fight! This is totally unacceptable imo and I for one will not just allow them get away with it, cheap tickets or not!
Thank you, I'm happy you took some value from this video. I am also curious to know about your experience on the green bus, and I wonder if it will be better equipped. Safe travels! :-)
@Hannah Long and @FRANCIS CARUSO I haven’t got a good experience to report unfortunately. I did get the green buses, but it didn’t mean they were any better than the substituted white ones shown in many videos. I found the seats uncomfortable; had to constantly shift positions to soothe my aching lower back, the USB plugs didn’t work and the WIFi, although it did connect, was eternally buffering, so completely useless! On the 2nd leg of my outward journey my paid for reserved seat was designated as a “not in use” restricted seat. On the 1st leg of my return journey, the toilets were blocked, at the point of overflowing, therefore unusable. We had to stop at a park and ride place and use the toilets on another bus parked there. On the 2nd leg of my return journey, the bus was cancelled, having been informed by email, but no alternative was provided. I had to pay for another ticket, with bus operator Megabus, to get home! Luckily, they still had seats available, and their seats proved to be much more comfortable for me anyway. The only praise I have is for the drivers on the 1st leg of both my outward and return journeys, who were most helpful. The driver on the 1st leg outward even went out of his way and mopped the bus before we set off, but sadly it didn’t cure the terrible stench of what can only be described as the stench of blocked sewers, that was still lingering. No praise for the driver on the 2nd leg outward journey I’m afraid, who was rude and unhelpful, who wouldn’t even place/retrieve anyone’s luggage in/from the hold, making everyone do it themselves! Their customer services department is definitely going to be hearing from me. It’s safe to say that I will never use Flixbus ever again!
Hi Francis 👋 Great video mate. Could I just ask, did you have to show your covid vaccination pass or a negative pcr test when you got on the bus ?? I was just wondering what the rules are with Flixbuses. Thanks & all the very best :)
Now you don’t have to show it anymore (and you don’t need mask either). But these things can change depending on the destination, so always good to check if the country you’re going to is strict or not. Have a good trip! :-)
@@FRANCISCARUSOworld Thank You very much for your reply & info Francis. I very much appreciate that mate. I discovered this UA-cam vlog yesterday & really enjoyed it & I'm now hooked. You look & come across as a lovely lad. All the very best Francis :)
You English is amazing I bet you know that, but I am 1000% that you're Brazilian I noticed that for your way to pronounce some letters as D and T= djeeferentchi
@@katavittinger4155 I'll be totally honest. If you can, then avoid traveling with FlixBus or any type of distance bus. If you travel 15 hours then prepare that your legs will go numb. Your legs won't have enough space and the bus don't stop very often (3-4 hours of travels inbetween busstation). The seats aren't comfortable, but this might be relative. I don't know if I've been unlucky or these are normal, but here are some things what happened on my bus: 1. A gypsy family (don't get me wrong, it's really not important that they are gypsy, but these are facts) were on my bus and they were yelling and listening gyspsy songs on max volume. 2. The floor were sticky and the seats were gross. 3. Halfway on the ride the air conditioner broke and just above my head it started leaking and dropping. 4. Although I checked right before my ride started that noone will sit next to me. Someone put their package on a seat which was booked, so the one who booked the seat had to sit somewhere else (of course next to me) 5. Someone started smoking on the bus. This is my experience with FlixBus. I won't travel with bus again. Planes are often cheaper and always faster. But maybe the Milan-Budapest line has the worst buses in Europe, I know that FlixBus has better buses, but I don't think I want to try them.
Sorry to hear that! A few days ago I finished my first Flix Bus journey from Budapest to Bratislava (less than 3 hours journey) and was pleasantly surprised. The WiFi worked, it was clean and the seats were fine (although maybe after 15 hours I would have felt differently aha). We didn't need to make any stops along the way as it was a short journey.

I’ve Flixed for about €5 around the UK and Netherlands/Belgium. Bristol to London is currently £1.99 due to competition on the route.

Hey did they check if you were vaccinated when you entered the Netherlands?
At the time yes but I don’t think they are checking anymore
Hi. If I travel from Spain to Poland, will my luggage will be checked?
And from Poland to Bielorrusia?
From Spain to Poland no since no border control. But Belarus maybe since it is outside of EU.
They usually don't check it if you're traveling inside of the EU
Tomorrow I'll have a 14 hour travel with FlixBus from Milan to Budapest. Wish me luck😂

A normal test will do but I don’t think it’s necessary anymore. Here in The Netherlands no one is asking for the test
