  • A film documenting London Fire Brigade's former Southwark Training Centre and Fire Station prior to its sale and redevelopment. Southwark was the main training centre for London's Firefighters for 136 years and was regarded by many as the Brigade's 'spiritual home', as well as being the site of Southwark's Fire station until it's closure during the austerity cuts enforced by former major Boris Johnson.
The site features many listed buildings including Winchester house, the former residence of arguably London's most notable Fire Chief Sir Massey Shaw.
Filmed over 3 weekends using a Mavic pro, Canon 1200D, Canon 5D and featuring many contributions from a large number of historic photographs taken over many years. Thanks to all of those that helped in donating footage or photos to this film. Please contact me for any credits if you wish to have them included.
This film is dedicated to the memory of my father, Mick Zarych, and Ed Barry, without whom this film would not have been possible.
