This man has a point. He is not blaming sex workers. He says that its their business. And he acknowledges also. He has an issue with the way they behave. Standing on roads. Shouting and creating a havoc. Sitting on scooters. Thats what bothers the general residents. He has a valid point. Do ur business sure. But be mindful of others too. There should be some mid way out. Movie is movie. Where they have glorified the prostitutes and gangubai. Which is one angle. But what about the general ppl? They also have life and business and may be they dont wanna be a party to this “business”. Thats all he is saying...
Ya but the movie wasn't just trying to glorify it, actually it did the complete opposite, u just think it's glorified because gangu went on to lead a better life But the opening scenes, where they beat the girls, the assault scene, the one where they were writing the letter to the girl's father, the one where gangu speaks to her mom, when the girls come back from school, etc... They all show the hardships of being a prostitute... The fact that even those women have feelings. The problem is that, that was yrs ago. Now, the area is different and the women are of this decade. So naturally it doesn't apply to these circumstances... I don't think they glorified it, I think they glorified ganga's life, but that was always glorious... They showed how she turned her pain into helping these girls... So.. Ya.. I disagree with that point
I lived initial 29 years of my life in kamathipura, now live elsewhere. My grand father had shifted to this area in 1950's may be. But, I couldn't survive more here because of red light area and cramped house. There's a difference between the girls of sex workers in kamathipura red light area and the girls of local people. I am not saying this difference should be there. But, it is there. This man is a local there not from red light area, but these locals also face the problems which red light area people face which should not be done. Movie was phenomenal but SLB should have shown the life of locals also. Maybe after the movie gangubai is getting praised and prostitutes are seen with some respect but there's nothing done for locals there and after the movie kamathipura has completely recognized as red light area. But in reality it is not so..not whole kamathipura is a red light area.. locals also live there. This is what that man is trying to say. He is not blaming any sex workers, but telling his own problems.
@@rishikabisht1374 I completely agree, but what people need to understand is that the movie is set in a time where the entire area was red light.
