The characteristics of each member of The Pixies is what made them so cool. With Franks solo stuff it's just his songwriting. I do think a lot of it is really good though.

Insane. His self-titled solo debut is incredible from start to finish. The Pixies fans who could not appreciate its genius are to be pitied, really.
