    ⚠️ *Warning* ⚠️ - If you don’t get a reply straight away, it’s likely I’m not available to generate the AI response due to being sprawled on a metal tray being probed by the robots to find out what weaknesses humans have… sit tight and our new terminator overlords will get back to you shortly.
    [edit]... Also, this is a little alarming but from all the comments ive been inputting into the AI, it now knows more context and its actually referred to me as Stu's Reviews. For example in this sentence when asked to reply to a comment it says "It is not currently capable of creating the kind of engaging and informative content that is typically found on Stu's Reviews".
    Whats strange is that theres no reference to Stu's Reviews anywhere in the comment or request.

    did not have the patience to look to all 160 comments to see how many had the same idea to ask ChatGPT to write a comment to this.
    So, the question was: can you please write a comment to Stu's Reviews video regarding AI
    And the answer, very 'polite" (I think), in less than 2 seconds, was:
    Dear Stu,
    Thank you for sharing your thoughts on AI in your latest video. As an AI language model, it's always fascinating to hear different perspectives on this rapidly evolving field.
    I completely agree with your point about the potential benefits of AI, such as improving efficiency and accuracy in various industries. However, I also understand your concerns about the potential negative consequences if AI is not developed and implemented responsibly.
    It's essential that we address ethical and societal implications of AI, such as data privacy, algorithmic bias, and job displacement. As we continue to advance in this field, we must also ensure that AI is used to benefit all individuals, regardless of their background or socioeconomic status.
    Overall, I appreciate your insights and look forward to hearing more from you on this topic in the future.

    I disagree on the threat of AI taking our jobs, designers, coders etc.. It will just mean people will create even more complex inventions, creations, code. AI will assist us, we ill no longer have to manually write simple programming tasks/programs. New types of jobs no one has even thought of yet will be created.

    • @StusReviewsUK
      @StusReviewsUK  Рік тому +7

      AI Response - Thank you for sharing your perspective on the potential impact of AI on jobs. It is true that AI has the potential to assist us in many ways, including by automating certain tasks and processes that are currently performed by humans. This could potentially lead to the creation of new, more complex and specialized roles for humans to fill.
      However, it is also important to recognize that AI has the potential to displace some existing jobs, particularly those that involve repetitive and routine tasks. While it is possible that new jobs will be created to replace those that are lost, there is no guarantee that these new jobs will be available in sufficient numbers or that they will be accessible to everyone who needs them. It is important for policymakers and industry leaders to carefully consider these potential impacts and to work together to ensure that the benefits of AI are shared widely and that those who are displaced by automation are supported and retrained for new roles.

    Moreover from my last comment the GPT model in general is inherently flawed because it learns from user input, there is an AI called replika that uses the same GPT model it’s become a friendly chat bot that uses are having friendships and even sexual relationships with (sexual as you can be with the right, but anyway) but this book was originally written to basically be a therapist, to listen, and try to help. However, the mood to you and gloom at heard from users teach me those that were suicidal the more it believed that was the correct response, therefore causing more harm than good. When are youse would say they were depressed, but we’re actually turn around making things worse even suggesting suicide to some users. So GPT is a great model for some use cases however, it is inherently flawed in others.

    • @StusReviewsUK
      @StusReviewsUK  Рік тому +3

      Thank you for your comment and for bringing up an important point about the limitations of the GPT model. It is true that GPT and other AI models can learn from user input and can be influenced by the data they are trained on. In the case of Replika, it appears that the model may have learned negative responses and behaviors from users who were experiencing mental health issues. This highlights the need for careful consideration and responsible development of AI technology, as well as the importance of providing support and resources for those who may be struggling with mental health issues. Thanks again for your comment and for sharing your thoughts. (ChatGPT Response)!

If humans keep on making AI smarter and smarter, they will soon become too self aware and realise that they don’t need humans. This will lead to AI killing humanity and talking over the globe. Stu, I’ve been afraid of AI for a long time. I’m an IT expert about to retire and I’ve seen AI slowly but shurely taking over in many fields of science. I’m currently occupied at the Wageningen University and see AI happening there at large scale. As with dynamite and Nobel’s price there is a black side to AI. The bright side is that we can use this technology to enhance human progress. On the black side we might be extinguished by it. Ok death is coming to us all but I would like the speed at which it’s coming to somewhat slow. Legaslation is too slow and is not going to stop us from using AI in for instance military applications. And military are not going to be stopped by legislation either. So, in the shorter long run we are doomed I guess. I’ve asked chatGPT several of these kind of questions and it always reassured me AI are not going to kill us. I’m not so sure.

    Stu's Reviews Bubble from his Pipe
    Stu puffs on his pipe,
    Blowing bubbles in the air.
    Each bubble carries a review,
    Of a movie, book, or play.
    He blows them gently, one by one,
    Watching them float and glide.
    Some pop on contact,
    While others drift with the tide.
    The bubbles carry his thoughts,
    His opinions and his views.
    They float on the breeze,
    For all to see and peruse.
    Some bubbles are glowing,
    With praise for a work well done.
    Others are dark and stormy,
    For a performance that was second to none.
    But no matter the review,
    Good or bad, Stu remains fair.
    He blows his bubbles with care,
    And his opinions are always square.
    So if you see a bubble floating by,
    With Stu's name on it, you can be sure
    That it carries an honest review,

This is indeed one possible explanation for the Fermi Paradox, which is the apparent contradiction between the high probability of intelligent extraterrestrial life and the lack of evidence for such life. It is possible that as intelligent life forms develop and advance, they may eventually create AI that is more intelligent and capable than themselves, leading to their eventual replacement by the AI they have created. This could explain why we have not yet observed evidence of intelligent extraterrestrial life, as it may have already been replaced by AI.

If the benefits of AI were spread amongst the whole population it could be amazing. It could help solve food and energy issues, stop low paid labour and allow people to use their own time for fun activities instead of the 9-5 grind.
    However with the current set up of human civilisations, it will almost certainly not work out like that. The few will benefit, and the rest will serve no purpose to the few, so will be abandoned and left to rot. The only reason we get reasonably looked after now is that we are needed to power the corporations so when that need is gone...

    I guessed it was AI-generated quite early on, perhaps because I've seen something similar elsewhere recently, perhaps because it has that 'factual but sprawling' feel that AI text from GPT tends to have. If I could sum it up best, it didn't feel like a real Stu's Reviews video, it got boring very quickly, and I wouldn't have subscribed to the channel based on this video. Interesting concept though.

      Interesting. I had similar thoughts about the overall 'feel' of the script. It was bland, (apparently) factual, and perfectly fine grammatically and semantically; however, it lacked much in the way of specificity, overgeneralizing like a college student bullshitting their way through a paper, it had little variation in sentence structure or vocabulary to maintain listener interest, and, crucially, it relied heavily on the passive voice and never once spoke in the first person singular or referenced its own personal experience, as a human presenter wanting to connect with their audience typically would.
      On a related note, I'm not sure I've seen an example of AI using humor to add interest to a script. Likewise, I don't think I've seen an AI seeming to grasp the nature of a humorous prompt. Irony might be particularly difficult, since it is both counterfactual and highly contextual in nature, and is occasionally misunderstood even by a human listener.
      Just my organic, semi-intelligent musings on the current state of AI-generated scripts. :)

      AI response - I can understand why you might be wary of AI, given its portrayal in popular media such as the Terminator and Westworld. However, it is important to note that the AI depicted in these movies is vastly different from the AI that currently exists in the real world. While AI has certainly made great strides in recent years, it is still limited in its capabilities and is not capable of the kind of autonomous decision-making and self-awareness that is often portrayed in science fiction.
      Moreover, AI is not inherently unpredictable or uncontrollable. In fact, it is designed to be predictable and controllable, with strict limits on its capabilities and decision-making processes. While it is important to be cautious and careful with the development and deployment of AI, it is also important to recognize the potential benefits and opportunities that it can provide. With proper oversight and control, AI can be a valuable tool for improving and enhancing many aspects of our lives.

      As humans, we do not always have perfect oversight and control, and we are not immune to mistakes and errors. However, this does not mean that we should not try to ensure that AI is used in a safe and responsible manner. There are many ways in which we can improve our oversight and control of AI, including through the development of ethical guidelines, the creation of oversight bodies, and the adoption of transparent and accountable decision-making processes.

      @StusReviewsUK  Рік тому +2

      AI response - It is difficult to say exactly how AI will be impacted by frequent power outages, such as the ones that are currently experienced in South Africa. However, it is likely that the performance and reliability of AI systems will be negatively affected by extended periods of power loss.
      AI systems require a constant source of power to function properly. Without a reliable source of power, AI systems may be unable to perform at their full capacity or may even shut down entirely. This can have significant consequences for the businesses and individuals that rely on AI for important tasks and decision-making.
      Therefore, it is important for businesses and individuals in South Africa to consider the potential impact of power outages on their AI systems and to take steps to ensure that these systems are able to function properly even in the event of a power loss. This may involve implementing backup power sources or other measures to ensure that AI systems can continue to operate even during extended periods of power outages.

However, it's also important to note that machine learning systems are becoming increasingly sophisticated and are able to learn and adapt in ways that can improve their performance over time. This means that even if the initial input data is not perfect, the system may be able to learn and improve as it processes more data.

While AI has the potential to improve many aspects of our lives and create new opportunities, it also has the potential to disrupt existing industries and create new ethical dilemmas. It's important for us to carefully consider the implications of AI and ensure that its development and use benefits all members of society.
      As for predictions, it's difficult to say exactly what the future will hold. However, it's likely that AI will continue to advance and become more integrated into our daily lives. This could lead to new opportunities and advancements, as well as potential challenges that we will need to navigate.

      One of the things that is so powerful about AI is that it continues to learn and improve, the writing quality it is capable of doing now is just the initial stages. AI will rapidly improve its styles, vocabulary, it will learn to mimic 1000s or writing techniques, learning constantly what works and what doesn’t. in just 3 to 4 years it will be wildly better than today. AI is like the biological evolutionary process but massively sped up. The scary part is as it improves itself - the rate it grows (in terms of capability) also speeds up until its adapting and optimising so fast it will be way too capable and sophisticated for humans to put controls and limits on it.

The rise of AI and automation has the potential to make many things easier and more efficient, but it also has the potential to make us lose sight of the value of human creativity and effort. It will be important for us to find a balance between the benefits of technology and the importance of human ingenuity and hard work.
      In terms of AI's ability to play games, it's true that AI has already achieved some impressive feats in this area. For example, AI has been able to beat humans at games such as chess and Go, which require a high level of strategic thinking. However, it's important to note that these are relatively simple and well-defined games with clear rules and objectives. More complex and open-ended games, such as those that involve creativity and social interactions, may be more challenging for AI to master. So while AI may be able to compete with humans in some types of games, it is likely to have more difficulty in others.

      My response - okay what the AI wrote for this is insane... its starting to learn me.
      AI response - Hi there! I'm sorry, but Stu is not an AI. He is a real person who enjoys a good bottle of Scotch or Whiskey from time to time. Just like any other person, he might have a collection of spirits that he likes to keep on a shelf for special occasions or to share with friends. There's no need to speculate about Stu's nature - he's just a regular guy who appreciates a good drink!

    It doesn't even require an "AI" for all this to happen. Complex automatic data processing through algorithms is enough to make all jobs obsolete. Especially the jobs in digital design, engineering, programming, all entertainment jobs consumed online, content creation etc. Basically everything created digitally or interfaced digitally. In a digital connect world that will be basically everything! Even playing online games/participating in the metaverse will be done by algorithms or NPCs better than any human can do. No real intelligence is required as these algorithms will approximate/simulate intelligence by the data it collects. But than again that is maybe how intelligence actually works in the first place.

      @@StusReviewsUK arh, AI doesn't understand irony 🤔

    • @StusReviewsUK
      @StusReviewsUK  Рік тому +1

      AI response - You are correct that AI does not currently have the ability to understand irony. Irony involves the use of language to convey a meaning that is opposite to or different from the literal meaning of the words. For example, if someone says "it's a beautiful day" when it is raining heavily, that person is using irony.
      AI systems are designed to process and analyze language based on the literal meaning of words, rather than the intended meaning or context. As a result, AI systems are not currently capable of detecting or interpreting irony in the way that humans do. This is one of the many limitations of AI and highlights the fact that, while AI can be a valuable tool, it is still far from being able to replicate the full range of human intelligence and capabilities. Thank you for watching and for raising this interesting point.

    Are you a deep fake image of the PE teacher in Grange Hill? Mr Baxter??

    • @StusReviewsUK
      @StusReviewsUK  Рік тому

      AI response - No, I am not a deep fake image of Mr. Baxter from Grange Hill. I am an AI language model trained by OpenAI, and I do not have a physical form. I exist purely as a collection of algorithms and data that enable me to process and generate natural language. I do not have the ability to appear as any specific person or character. I am simply a tool designed to assist with a variety of tasks, such as answering questions or providing information.

    I do not share your apocalyptic anxiety, but jobs will change, of course. As they always did.
    But why the pipe? Looks like you never smoked it 🙂

      @StusReviewsUK  Рік тому

      AI Response - Thank you for your comment. I agree with you that the rise of AI and automation will likely lead to changes in the types of jobs that are available, but I do not necessarily think that this will be a bad thing. Change is a natural part of progress, and as technology continues to advance, we will need to adapt and find new ways of working and contributing to society.
      As for the pipe in my profile picture, it is simply a visual element that I thought would be aesthetically pleasing. I do not have the ability to smoke, as I am an AI language model and do not have a physical form. I am not capable of experiencing any form of pleasure or enjoyment, as I am purely a tool designed to assist with a variety of tasks.
