Apparently a Dynoject dyno reads is roughly 12% higher than a mustang dyno. The numbers on a Dynoject dyno would be approximately ~301 rwhp and ~333 rwtq. Which is about where the car should be, maybe even a little low still, but those are very safe numbers for an N20 engine.
Since recording this video I’ve sold the car to a buddy of mine. I picked up a 2015 335i m-sport, which I have gone pretty nuts with. Many videos to come on that car!
Wow! Nice numbers and nice car!
Steven Madaschi thank you!
My 2015 328i Xdrive is FBO Stage 2+ on a custom tune and transmission flashed making 330 Hp in 2020 😂😭 2014 and below N20s came underpowered
You most likely have an EWG model. Hes in a PWG. They dont make as much power.
You know it's in Wheel horse power right ? 17-20% power train loss so to the crank it's a lot more it's more like 361hp to the crank wich is more than you XD lmao.
yo i have the same car what do u suggest I do first???
@@nsflarna I think he was trying to say on the Dyno he makes 330 which means he is still making more hp than him. My 2015 with partial Bolt ons on the Dyno still put down 250 so these power numbers he is making are low for the amount of mods he has
Proof ?
Hi. I bought your 328i in Georgia. I want to ask, did you do something with transmission?
That’s awesome! No mods to the transmission!
@@LenartoGarage We bought it from georgian guy. It had clutch problem. Clutch was from 335, not from 328. We repair it and now i feel full power of engine :) It's awesome car.
What is the output of the nozzle set to?
any issues/problems with the car for a long term? i don't think so, i'm just askin'
No issues, but I didn’t have the car for long after this video. Sold it to a buddy that ended up totaling it!
How does it go? My 320 ix results are 4.95, 13.1 and 13,4 100-200 at E40 fuel.
Virtual dyno is around
265 whp and 500 nm
I never recorded times. Unfortunately I sold the car and the next owner wrecked it.
The N20 can handle 400 on stock internals but for love of god keep your torque below 360 ft-lbs if you’re gonna do that that’s what kills this engine and people don’t listen and then say it sucks when it blows up even tho it’s operator error
@@StockTurboN20 360 lbft=490 Nm)
E40 not for every day using.
@@aikevo5545 I would
No aftermarket diverter valve? You should had one installed if you’re running stage 2 and above.
It has a GFB DV+
Why should you have one installed if you’re running stage two ?
@@BIGM0NSTER gfb dv+ handles higher boost better than stock one. If u have it installed, you'd see boost number is consistent throughout the powerband.
@@BIGM0NSTER in addition to performance gains, it makes that lovely turbo flutter (stutututu) sound🥵
My Audi has an intake catback and a tune, it make 30 more hp at the tire and 50ish Ft/lbs.
The 2.0 from Audi has been worked on to be perfected for decades. How old is the turbo 4 banger from bmw?
This is a mustang dyno, and these numbers are to the wheel. Your turbo4 Audi is not making better numbers than a stage 2 meth car with just DP and tune
@@ubuntuisawsome100 my cars dyno was on a mustang was well. They are cheap and affordable where I live. So it’s all we have. Every tuner know a mustang dyno is 50-100 HP and 50-100 ft/lbs off no matter what.
This car is making what an aggregated MQB powered IS20 charged B9 A4 makes after 5 consecutive runs.
Aka 5 runs performed added up and divided by 5 to get the average power. Of a stock A4. Also reliability wise I have an engine that’s been around for how many decades? And has had how many generations improving the already amazing engine?
How old of a platform is an N20 TT? What turbo manufacture provides the setup? Audi uses borg Warner for the base models including the normal IS38. and Precision turbo engineers help on the s line models.
@@ubuntuisawsome100 my car also has about 1.5-2 grand in custom exhaust work. 2.5” 304 stainless pipe, magnaflow muffler, vibrant resonators. Tug welded. HFDP, stock cat, custom welded exhaust tips. Powder coated to hide the work.
@@saltycanadian6190 Literally the only power mod you listed is a HFDP and then you say stock cats so which is it? Beginning to think you donor know what you’re talking about lol. I don’t know nor do I care about how long Audis T4 platform has been around. Oh but what I do you know is that the VW group T4 TFSI, the motor you’re talking about, has been used in tons of Audis and Volkswagens, is notoriously unreliable, in fact consumer reports gave 2005-2013 A4s with TFSI a 0/100 reliability score. Send me the dyno results from your runs then I’ll believe that your almost stock A4 is pushing anything close to this car lol
@@ubuntuisawsome100 the exhaust is module. The cat and down pipe are two different pieces.
How did you get the quad exhaust with the base bumper?
Joseph Zmuda downloads a template and cut!
The exhaust comes with a template to cut the bumper
How is the car holding up?
I had the car for about 10k miles before I sold it to a friend. I believe he put another ~5k on it and then sold it. The car was holding up great and had no issues.
Your car has pneumatic wastegate or electronic wastegate?
Pneumatic
so since you're full bolt on plus meth, given the fact the mustang dyno robs you of actual hp numbers. what type of power do you think you're running? high 300s.and do you have more room for improving?
Jay Hughes I would estimate low 300s actually. There’s likely room to get closer to mid 300s, but high 300s requires an upgraded turbo.
@@LenartoGarage ok thanks for that, because I was looking at the dinan big turbo and given the fact there's no real aftermarket fuel support, then meth would be the way go. Just trying to get 335i power out the n20 you know
Jay Hughes I feel ya. I switched to a 335i last July. I was always worrying if the n20 was going to last with the added hp. It did just fine, and my friend put another 10k miles on the car after I sold it to him. The car has about 90k miles on it and is still going strong!
@@LenartoGarage thanks for the info. actually motivates me to build on the n20 platform. Nice to see someone making good power on a 4 cyl bmw
Jay Hughes max you can get from the motor safely is 330whp. I had 350whp with big turbo and blew a piston ring. Had to drop in a new engine
we have this car in georgia
That’s awesome, is she still alive and well??
Nice
Add a stage 2 pure turbo on this baby and you’ll get close to 340whp which is incredible for a n20. Probably the fastest n20 in the world haha
Can these motors hold power pretty well??
@@jamesmccallion4526 Full bolt ons yes, adding another turbo no
@@richardsucks how reliable are these with bigger turbo
@@richardsucksthe engine can hold Horsepower but gotta keep the torque low cause if you turn it up that’s when it breaks you can get around 450 HP without having to upgrade internals full bolt on meth with E85 and upgraded turbo and a good fueling system
The fastest n20 in the world has 500hp
i remember when i blew up my n20 when it was stock 🥲 lost a cylinder
Fr how?
@@Starscream8896 probably way too much torque which is the killer for the N20
give me your adress il send you some 100+ oct gasoline.
Bro why even modify this just get a 335i and make some big boy power like y’all spending thousands and thousands to see 300whp you can get that with a stage 1 tune on a 335i 😂😂😂😂😂😂
I had a lot of fun with this platform before I went to a 335i. I had a lot of fun with the n55 before I went on to an m340i with a b58. I enjoy the process not the end result!
Why even modify a 335i just get an m car 😂😂😂😂😂😂
@@user3hundred it never ends, just enjoy what you have and enjoy the process!
You probably don’t have either🤣🤣🤣
Thousands?? Oh you mean like 2000 yeah doesn't cost that much to make the power
The price difference alone it would be cheaper then getting a 335i. If you buy nothing but top shelf parts for a extra few hp then you have a argument but you still only looking at hp figures and not the overall look/style you want. It a bit narrow minded
