It's pretty good, I couldn't get into the second game even though by all but one account it's better (the music in game 1 is MUCH better). This game is super good especially on sale though. It's pretty bare bones except for the bosses which are super fun and these are obviously the OSTs of said bosses.
0:54~1:16 that extremely sad melody before the storm, followed by a sad yet determined 1:16~2:45 gave me so many feels during my gameplay. I really enjoyed the game, and it has really good soundtracks. DNF FW15C altogether is my favorite one among the Sephiras battles, and those were just.. astonishing. I really hope Gust doesn’t give up on this title: it really deserves love and development to me. It has good points to be a great, remarkable game.
The thing I love the most about the Gust games are the soundtracks of their games. Yes, I love the OST of the games more than the cute waifus, pretty and colorful graphics,... Say what you want about the games but the soundtracks are an absolute treat for the ears. Japanese music composers are the *best*
They seem like the best because the west generally stopped trying with their OSTs, always going for bland, meaningless orchestra music that just exists rather than music that adds some personality or story through the notes, regardless of genre.
This. So much this. "It's fine, it fits the atmosphere so well, it doesn't try to overtake it, so it's fine right?" No, hell no. If it's a music, let it speak for itself, and let it make the scene into an audio-visual experience, rather than hiding and trying "not to mess up" anything.
@@LoliconSamalik You can't be serious, I love Japanese OSTs but there are just as many great soundtracks coming out in the West. Why resort to hyperbole? Transistor, Guild Wars 2, Cognition: an Erica Reed Thriller, Journey, Child of Light, Ori and the Blind Forest are just some examples of extremely well received OSTs from recent years.
