"Emily" is a popular song composed by Johnny Mandel, with lyrics by Johnny Mercer. It was the title song to the 1964 film The Americanization of Emily. Collings I-35LC Carr Rambler
This is so great. Emily has been and will be one of my favorites because every time I listen to it, it takes me to the time when I loved a woman I thought was meant to be with me. Actually, for some reason, we broke up, and I am not going to be able to see her ever again. Anyway, your play brought me to the happy memory of us being together. Thank you. Keep up the good work, young man!
Thanks! This is my own arrangement. I'm playing a Collings I-30LC, which is basically Collings' interpretation of a Gibson ES-330. Fully hollow with p-90s. The amp I'm using is a Carr Rambler in the 14 watt power setting (triode mode). I've got the amp mic'd with an SM-57 that I'm running into a Focusrite 2i2 interface and then into Garageband. Thanks for the comment!
