Ladders, so useful to reach new areas! So helpful when they are nice and clearly marked on the map! Tunic's a nice tight package, and its hiding more junk in the trunk that you'd think on first glance. A welcome surprise!

Yes definitely a lot more than I was expecting at first

Reminds me a lot of Death's Door; which is another souls-like zelda style indie title. I've been keeping an eye out for Tunic for a while, but the souls-like stuff does put me off a bit (particularly seeing those giant crocodile things chase you for ages haha). The visuals does look really good, and the menu being the game booklet guide is a really cool concept.

It's really not too bad. There were a couple rough moments for sure as you noted haha but overall I didn't think it was anything too difficult. Haven't played death's door, may need to look into it!

Tunic is a journey unlike anything else. To simply call it a Zelda or Dark Souls clone would be a shallow understanding, and doesn’t do it justice. This game has a treasure trove of items, a beautiful story, and not one, but two unique ways of interpreting language, Trunic and Tuneic, and on top of that, a plethora of secrets which are so cathartic to solve. Tunic’s original name is “Secret Legend,” and you will see why when you play this. Highly recommended!
I got all of the achievements in a year’s time.

If it didn't want to be called Zelda that stupid fox should not be wearing a green tunic.

If you're not being sarcastic I know what you mean, but still think this games worth giving a shot! For whatever reason it really works even if you're not into the idea

@@capn_sarge No I'm being totally honest. It looks fun and the art is really nice, I just think it's a bit too difficult for me

I tried this game for like 8 hours total (over 2-3 weekends). Beat the first three bosses and stopped playing. Didn't like the game play much (in the combats, it is a bit tough to maneuver the character). Very much disliked the soul like aspect of having to backtrack from the checkpoint. I'm 40 years old who can only devote 2-3 hours a week on gaming and this game proves to be too much for me (I mean, I can look up where to go and how to solve some puzzles, but then what's the point of playing this game anyway). In short, not for me who has limited time to play games; it might be for those who can spend more hours with a lot of patience, exploring and backtracking.

Agreed the game takes some trial and error in both combat and exploration and if you're not enjoying it giving up on it is for sure the right call. Sorry it wasn't the game for you.
