You missed the secret colour for Xiaoyu costume when you picked her using Random select.

Back when it was not possible to bring out downloadable content. If DLC was possible then, these companies would have been making money that way then too.
Instead, they would make input reading AI to make you lose more often so that you would put more money into the arcade machines.
You're wearing rose tinted glasses when looking back on the games and companies of those times.
@@KarlKognition DLC and updates was done in the form of game versions, think OOT. although it had no DLC, when they wanted to fix the blood and the fire temple music, they would release another version with the edits and then pull from the shelves or stop selling the older version
@@KarlKognition Remember,Kazuya in Tekken 2 Arcade version was made to read and counter your inputs,and being almost unhittable,making you spend lots of money
I also prefer when we had to unlock characters,but since Tekken entered the competitive world,players had to not waste time unlocking their main.
For DLC characters, remember that we had a new Tekken every 1-2 years back then,now we have a new game every 8-10
Man, crazy to think Tekken Tag Tournament came 24 years ago. Because it looks completely playable even today!!!
I miss the Time so much. No DLC. Play the Game to unlock characters and no Need to whait Months until the Main Character to unlock it
Most Games gets boring until Finaly all DLCs get released
This is why I haven't bought Tekken 8 yet. Better to wait a few years until all the DLC is out and buy the "Complete Edition."

Just rebuy the game when a new version came out and hope the game you got wasn't broken. That said, the arcade machines got updates.
Besides, DLC, done right, is a good thing.

@@OpoumConsumer To be fair, TTT was, officially, the first PS2 game. If not the first, certainly within the first few, but pretty sure the first. That said, while it was PS1 era, it doesn't really look like a PS1 game.
This was the first game I ever played on my PS2 on Christmas morning.

This game might not be *canon* on the Tekken Lore but this fleshed out some hints (as well as answers) to what happened & what became of Jun Kazama following her closure at the end of Tekken 2. Unknown is her under the Devil Gene but it's a *very weaker version* unlike both Kaz & Jin's Devil Forms respectfully. (& both got there crowning moments in both Tekken's 7 & 8 when they awakened em at they're peak forms) keep in mind this was also *before* they added in swimsuit outfits later on. 😐
Jun and Unknown were never the same person until Tag 2. Unknown was originally supposed to be Jun's sister that has been posessed by the Wolf Spirit floating beside her. Jun being Unknown has been a fan theory that Namco decided to go along with in Tag 2, and people gobbled it up like hatchlings.
Xiaoyu in this game is like the epitome of glow up

Saludos, oye olvidaste mencionar algunas cosas :
1 - que puedes empezar con el segundo personaje que tengas antes y después de terminar un round, dejandonroesionado el botón tag
2 - si eliges a jin y a heihachi puedes hacer un movimiento especial con jin que te da ciertos combos y poderes
3 - hay un traje secreto con xiaoyu de color verde la manera de sacarlo es elegir la casilla de random select usando el botón de tag, si te cae xiaoyu ella aparecerá con el traje verde

There’s also another secret where you can play as an unlockable character before they are unlocked. For example, the first character to be unlocked from playing Arcade is Kunimitsu but you can play as her before unlocking her using the random select. Then you can do this again with the second time you play arcade, you can select Bruce Irvin from the random select and so on 👍🏻
One day I’ll buy this one… I got Tekken 2 and 3, thank you for your help on unlockables 🥰

TTT is like mvc2 complete all characters, from previous versus series. The arcade version is like ps og graphics with complete character roster, while the Ps2 version is a revolutionary graphics.
I miss this game. I still remember racking up a 9 game winning streak on the arcade only to lose the 10th game and miss out on golden tetsujin T.T
I've always wondered why they left out Dr. Bosconovich as a playable character despite the fact every other Tekken original character made it in. It's especially weird considering they remodeled and retextured him like Namco did for every character only to use it solely for Tekken Bowl.
My only guess is Namco determined that there wasn't going to be enough space on the disc for his full poly model and full res textures, and so rather than letting it go to waste, just decided to include a compressed version to put in the background of Tekken Bowl.
It would be interesting to see how possible it is to modify the game to allow for the model to be used as an actually selectable character and just take his animations straight from Tekken 3.
I imagine that's incredibly difficult.

Hahah, that must be a result of playing with wide-screen because I've never noticed the sudden appearance before. But to explain, Tekken Tag Tournament is unable to display more than two characters on the screen at one time, so it swaps out Xiaoyu with Kuma right as she walks out of frame.
there was also a way to get mokujin or tetsujin's block sound wooden or metallic.

Tag 1 had 32 plus unknown and tetsujin so you could say 34 but nah 32 unique characters. Thats the same as base roster tekken 8. Tag 1 ended. T8 will be alive for many years
Tag 1 is still being played though and best of Classic Tekken. No need to Diss it
only thing tekken 3 has over this one imo is music and tekken force otherwise maybe the perfect tekken game along with 5

How come there is a tekken tag but with Tekken 3 low graphics??
That's the Arcade version, which came first. It ran off of a slightly updated version of the T3 Arcade engine, which was based off of PS1 technology (although slightly superior).
By the time the PS2 was released, Namco wanted to release a new game that took advantage of the big jump in processing capabilities, but Tekken 4 was still years away, and so they decided that bringing over Tag would be a relatively quick way to release a new game, though theynknew they needed to implement a significant graphical overhaul so it didn't look outdated. The end result was extremely impressive for its time, though the devs did note that it took them months of working on a single character in the beginning until they were able to better understand the PS2 architecture. It's also interesting to note that the character models in Tag PS2 actually have more polygons than T4, and even T5 in many respects, which is likely only possible due to the stage backgrounds generally requiring a lot less polygons themselves, as unlike T4 and T5, all stages in Tag are essentially made up of multi-layered 2D images (with infrequent polygonal models here and there).

What was JP Version mean?
Japan Version, sometimes it slightly different from the western release like they put Easter eggs or hidden secrets to achieve with some tricks.

The Tag games are the best Tekken games ever made. Tag 1 is special because its the closest thing we will ever get to a remake of Tekken 2 and 3. And If this game included Tekken force and Tekken ball mode as well as Tekken 2's soundtrack...It would no joke be the greatest Tekken game of all time. Now everything is just online online online or go f*ck yourself sigghhh...At least the classics will never die🥲🖤

Seeing T2 and T3 characters together with T3 engine but better was epic and still blows me away today. Tekken 8 just isnt Tekken anymore, Jun was ruined, the endless floor juggling and non "Tekken" style characters has ruined it
