Why not just build tornado proof homes??? Wouldn't it be more cost effective in the long run to spend the extra money on materials for a tornado proof home design than to have to rebuild from tornado damage??? The only other explanation I can come up with as far as why homes are designed the way they are is the construction companies want the homes destroyed so they can stay in business hence why homes are constructed in such a way to be so vulnerable to tornadoes or extreme wind gusts. As an engineer I can easily come up with at least 3 tornado proof designs which can withstand at least EF3 or even EF4 with additional construction costs. I guess most builders will continue to build in the cheapest way possible in order to maximize sale profits. Homes don't have to be ripped apart from an EF4 with the proper ingenuity but I understand the costs difference between a tornado proof home vs a modern cost effective home the expense difference would vary a great deal. It's just it's too bad money/build cost has to be a factor in safety otherwise not even an EF4 could do much damage if any to specific structural designs. So many lives lost and properties continue to be damaged because of this world running on the dollar bill. Take away the limitations of the dollar bill and we would see an enormous amount of structural technological advancements.

None were killed inside the gas station I was chasing this storm and was one of the first on scene all deaths occurred to the west of the station a mile or two where we recovered people all night
Prayers for the south and all yall are going through. ❤
Well, Ev'ry body said all the 'Naders are moving East and such...Well, judging from the last few weeks, looks like Texas and Oklahoma are regaining the long held titles of being "Tornado Alley"...😮😮😮!!!...
Drove past this yesterday on I35
I keep seeing so much destruction lately, and I wonder if there are any mitigating building regs around there. More tornadoes are always coming. I can understand RVs and old mobile homes being destroyed, but those big factory and office buildings don't look that old, and should be better built. Prayers for all involved.
Prayers from México 🙏🥹
I am so sad!
Prayers for all of these ❤🙏
As is evident here, wherever a single building structure has been scoured down to the foundation, this is considered F-5 tornado destruction for the entirety of the damage path. Using the far superior "Fujita scale."
Prayers for everyone affected. I live 2 miles from lone oak and it was scary at our house, but nothing like this devastation.
Prayers do not help, lady. Get real.
Does anyone know what cat strength this was?
Stronger than house cat. Maybe lion?
So very heart-wrenching!!! Bless everyone there!!! 🙏
In what whey will a bless benefit them?
@@lotanerve I Pray that God will Bless them and keep them safe. If I was a billionaire I would help them financially, because WHAT GOOD is being wealthy and not helping others??
Unfortunately, I am NOT a billionaire...so asking God to Bless them and keep them safe is all I can do.
@@Mrs.Brisby2950 As long as you feel better.
@@lotanerve I don't "feel better".... it's all I have to give!!!
If I had the means? I would build a thick brick house, with a concrete podium deck for a roof, no tornado worries anymore
Really really bad year for tornadoes.
Estoy preocupada porque tengo unos amigos ahí y no me contestan 😮
Anoche tuve algunos problemas con mi teléfono después del tornado. Espero que todo vaya bien para tu 😢
My god those trailers were thrown a football field and shredded 😮
Wow! Thoughts and prayers for all affected. ❤
Tornado Warnings are not to be taken lightly - What erks me, is all the tornado tourist out in these storms trying to capture a glimpse of the storm. My family lives in Oklahoma and these events can and does get terrifying. God bless anyone to those who were impacted by yesterday's outbreak. I know live Storms Media are professionals and work with the cities and counties throughout these regions. I am not talking about these guys, but you all know what im saying.
so so sad
I cannot understand why all frame houses are built out in tornado country, as one can see its nothing but sticks left strewn all over the landscape.
Those tornados are soul destroying I am so sorry for the USA
Looks like a bomb went off. So sad for the loss of life and property.
Omg were you at that station?
Lord I pray you showed mercy on these poor souls -🙏 The lost and confused horse broke me - seriously
Tornados can kill! Jesus saves sinners! God bless you
