i can't even imagine anyone able to do that type of mega-enduro hike. 11,700 elev gain and 30 miles in one long day. And i have done my share of tough long challenge day hikes and backpacks. I always brag about my 5000 ft ele descent and ascent to the bottom of the Grand Canyon(22 miles round trip from Mather campsite). Did it in 8 hrs in 1995 when i was in peak condition. But yours beats that by a long shot. It is like the marathon times 5. BTW i love San Jacinto mts and have done the peak twice but first time i took the tramway to give me a boost. Congrats to you for your feat!!
Thanks so much! I really appreciate that. Your Grand Canyon hike sounds incredibly challenging too - 5000 ft of elevation change in 22 miles is no joke! That's a serious accomplishment. San Jacinto is definitely a special place. I'm glad you've had the chance to experience it, even with the tramway assist the first time! 😉 This reminds me of my Grand Canyon Rim to Rim to Rim (R3) run last year, which was another tough one. ua-cam.com/video/OKHB0miYPCc/v-deo.htmlsi=121DhN8Zfa3ALkcn
Very impressive! How long did you prepare for this? Can you do a load out video? Very very cool!! Thank you for posting this! Please post more of these videos!! :) cheers from LA
Thanks so much! I actually didn't train specifically for this, which makes it even more surprising! 😅 Most of my base training has been hiking/running 4K-6K ft of vertical on the weekends. Not sure what a load out video is, but I'm assuming it's showcasing all the gear I used for the trip?
Totally cool! Loved the reception committee.
Tough trail for sure -- impressive hike! Socal has some of the best hiking this time of year. Hoping the wildfire clears up soon. Thanks for sharing 👍
Wow, I would love to do this one day. Great job 💪
Way to crush miles. That trail is a beast. Well done!
Appreciate it! Yeah, that trail was no joke.
Brutal, dude! But they looked like fun miles. Cheers.
Great job bro!
You made that look easy! Great job and loved your reception!
Thanks so much! I'm glad it looked easy, but it definitely had its challenges. Family finishes are the best.
Truly getting IT! Also the best finish!
Great job, and impressive to have the energy left to bang out the set of pull-ups!
Haha, yeah, figured I'd give my legs a break.
Fantastic job sir. Props!
This is wonderful! The best part ... your family waiting for you at the end! Great video
While that is very wholesome the best part was the pull ups on the bar with a mile left to go lol.
Thanks so much! That was definitely the highlight for me too.
@@chrisbrunn3480 Ha I honestly almost did it on the way up, but decided to earn it for the finish.
well done
Wow awesome video I live here in ps was cool to see!
Way to F'n go dude! 🤘🏽
