Hello Guys. I in this video i have tried to explain the technique of preloading the gear lever for smother gear shifts and this also helps in reducing the false neutral. First make sure the clutch play is good, gear lever is not lose (too much play) and the chain slack is good withing recommended parameters. How to do it. 1 Plan your upshift , place the foot under the lever and grab the feel of it do not pull too much. 2 now pull in the clutch fully and ease of the throttle by 20 to 30 percent(do not snap it close) and shift up all in one smooth action. 3 Let the clutch go and pull the throttle smoothly(again in on motion). once you master this you will definitely have better and smoother up shifts. for Downshifting use revv matching if you do not have slipper clutch. 1 Pull the clutch release the throttle. 2 shift down 3 Blip the throttle slightly to match the revvs and let go the clutch. Hope this would help newer and un experienced riders.

Sir my bike I making sound like , 🔧 banged on metal while idle ! What can be the problem ? Tappet noice
Kinda , Sorry for bad English
Edit : bike continental gt 650 2022 bs6
How loud is the sound? Mild tik of teppets are permissible and good sign. If the sound is too loud the u need to get valve clearance adjustment done also get the crank inspected. Also observe cold and hot engine noise and make a video and show it to your service manager. RE has db meter to measure engine noise.
Thx, I had gear issues too.
I have driven almost 2500 km but my experience From Gear shift assy is not smooth specially when we have to shift gear quickly in such a situation engine also respond slow. Specially where we have to ride in different speed and frequent gear shift situation.
Did you try this preloading technique? How is the chain slack and clutch play , i have already covered these two things in different videos. Also i recommend you tighten the pinch bolt of the gear lever and adjust the lever position so that your foot would be at ease and at natural position while shifting gears. Also made a video on gear lever adjustments. Try this this and lever adjustment it would definitely help.
Also try a different Motorcycles to compare.

Ok, great video... but, isn't normal that royal enfield sell their motorcycles with false neutral issues...don't you agreed? I hate it :(
@@0davideos0 i only had it once in my electra , it was sorted out by their service center mechanic. It was long long ago i was in my 20s back then. Never experienced the false netural that much in other re i had owned. Most of the time it is the wrong clutch adjustment or something with gear lever being too lose.
Man u have to sit show once than explaining so much
Don't have the action camera setup to show this in motion , this the best i can do with my current setup.
