They do not do avi mitigation in this terrain. It is considered out of bounds and later in the season after this was filmed there was a large slide in this exact spot. If you have a avi bag I’d bring it. 🤙
@@parzival2874 I brought my backpack with shovel and probe and was wearing a beacon but I didn’t bring my avi bag because it is only the BCA Float 12 so it doesn’t have much room.
I’ve been using the Hero9 black. The big diff with this one over its predecessors is the enduro battery, which is crucial in extremely cold and wind blowing conditions.
I think the GoPro Max might produce the best skiing video. The Max 2 is announced, just waiting for it. Trying to get by with my Hero 6, lol.@@SkiBum6062
So sweet! Nice video! I would love to see you do Heller's Chute off the top of Mount Ogden next. If you need help finding it, it's showed just under 14 minutes into my latest posted video.
This me traverse is a combo of hiking and skiing. I like to strap both skis to my pack because the hike is better with 2 hands and poles. This usually takes us 40 mins but more depending on conditions
I never knew I could go this way! I always go up the tram and go down the main way. This looks so fun and refreshing!
Beautiful. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for watching. What a season!
@@SkiBum6062 so many YT viewers get to live vicariously. And so jealous of the natives skiing all winter.
@@choski76 glad to provide the fix 😉
I had some amazing powder days this 22-23 season at Snowbasin and Powder Mountain! It’s now 100°F in July and I miss the snow😢
Yeah me too! Hopefully we’ll be shivering again soon.
I've been hankering for a return to winter too. We'll be back into the season soon enough! Hopefully we get another stellar accumulation in 23-24 :D
hell yea sick video. this is a goal of mine. probably next season ill give it a go
No better time than the present 👊
@@SkiBum6062 finally made it up there today. ended up dropping lookers left of those chutes in porky cirque where there was less tracks. what a day!

UT AHHHHHHHH!
Sup this is jai nice vid and nice pow ❄️
Yo buddy thanks for watching 😜
Epic.
Way to send it!
Thanks bro 👊
Do I need to bring an avalanche pack for any of the runs in Mt Ogden (including this one) Or is it controlled

@@SkiBum6062 did you bring a bag?

What camera did you use? Thanks - happy skiing.

Yeah I know Hellers. We call it the Crippler. See my Spring Skiing 2017 video. Thanks for watching.
Awesome video! How long is the hike and traverse from the Tram to the cirque?

Is this "porky cirque"? Nice vid!
No, Porky Cirque runs from Needles to Porky Nose. Race Start Chutes are on the SE side of Mt Ogden. Thanks for watching
Hey where is this at?
The Race Start Chutes, Snowbasin. It’s not shown on current maps. The resort just has a big arbitrary bowl listed as Porky Cirque instead…
obviously wimped out to lower terrain. Glad this fed your ego.
Thanks homie 💦
