I watched one of Nonna's video's recently after hearing Vanessa talk about her in her grooming videos. I am so glad I did because I love an awesome grandma. They are so special and we can learn so much from ours. I miss mine but I can enjoy watching others here on UA-cam and in enjoy the ones in my community in Alabama.

Oh Nonna, you inspire me to make my own tomato sauce! My Mom used to can all sorts of things, but never tomato sauce. She was Czech, and my Dad was Hungarian. I cook dishes we grew up on. But I married an Italian, and well, we both love Italian food!! So, I better get busy and can my own sauce to make our favorite Italian dishes! I've learned so much from you and thank you with all my heart! Blessings to you and your family!!😊🍅🫑🧄🧅🍆🥬🌶♥

I will never forget the time, a Italian lady I worked with, was talking about making sauce over the weekend. At the time, I just got married, and really wanted to learn. She invited me over to learn. To this day, I still use her recipe. This is so great for you to remember how Nonna made the sauce you grew up loving so much. So glad to be able to be "apart" of your family. I've been taking notes on recipes.

Thank you so much for sharing the traditions of your wonderful family! I don't have any grandparents or parents left so I know the importance of cherishing what you have, while you have it, and I love that we can be a part of that! This reminds me of pickling many kgs of beets from our garden every autumn using our family recipe! Food is a big part of my family's legacy, and it's obviously a huge part of yours, and it's wonderful to witness. Much love from Denmark.❤

Just saw a couple of your video’s, and was astonished by how much your Nonno looks like a Covino, my mothers family name, one of her brothers is Uncle Vince Covino. Your nonno and my Uncle could be brothers. Lol.
Do you mind me asking what part of Italy they came from?
We are in Australia, but our grandpa, was in America for awhile, then went back home to Italy and married my grandma, had a bunch of kids, they were supposed to go to America, as grandpa had siblings still there, or Australia, but before the decision was made he passed away from heart attack, so young. After a year nonna my mum and her little brother went to Australia as all her older children had gone years before, most had been married already.
Everything you do, we do here in Australia. Hopefully the old ways don’t die, it’s good to see you young ones learning these things! Myself I didn’t become interested till late in life, thank god my daughter stayed around her nonno and nonna a lot, so she knows how to do everything, cause I certainly didn’t tell her had to help me while I was doing those things. Didn’t want the arguments, but kids aren’t too sassy with nonna’s!
