That's why vps are actually pretty great especially when you get a lot. Sucks to have low utility early but once you have secured 3 or 4 it's solidly a great thing. Resource cost to point wise, three devs to get army, in his case like 5 devs to secure those two points against your 5 devs for 5 points. I haven't fully worked the path out but just going back over it seems like you could have won earlier switching to a build to 15 strategy once you had so many vps. Port less for devs, just dev when it's an easy thing to do but save resources for building to 15 more like you eventually did.
In the last game, you could either block wood or ore. Given that ore had 2 village on an 8 (2x5 pips) vs 1 village on a 10 (1x3 pips) wouldn't the wood have more value, even if he ports it to ore, its around 10% more ore? After he made a city the math changes of course.
Interesting in game 2 him cutting you off made him take road, thus allowing a block with only 2 settlements which would have been detrimental to him if he didn't resign
What an INSANE set of wins! Nicely played mate!
Nuts!!!
Man Game 1 had me at the edge of my seat that was an amazing game

Whooooo!!!
On Game 1 why did you settle on 10wheat instead of 10 4 5 for your 4th settle?

I realize you don't always *want* the VP, but better in your hand than your opponents, so they always have value.
why did you not build to the 4 5 10
Nice. You haven't posted a video in a week, are you alive?
