Elliot is too violent for me. And, when Connie says he has no claims on Allison, why is that? He didn’t neglect her of his own free will, he was in prison.
Exactly. He was in prison. For murdering his wife. Oh sure, he didn't actually do it, but who believed him? Can you imagine growing up in the 40s/50s/60s as the bastard child of a wife-killer? The stigma, the shame, the rumors and gossip, it would have been unbearable. Constance did what the morals of those days dictated that she do: lie and come up with a fake yet "respectable" father for Allison, so she could grow up free from the strife of being associated with a man who murdered his wife.
I still think it's too bad Allison & Betty couldn't have become better friends. I really like the little talks they have; seeming to say so little but so much underneath.
This show is contemporaneous with 'Mr Novak' where teachers would never be allowed to fraternize with students unsupervised: the ridiculous world of Soap Opera where normal societal rules are bent to accommodate a far-fetched plot.
Dorothy Malone was in her forties here and she is absolutely stunning.
Great series, very much ahead of its time. Thanks for uploading.
No, slightly behind its time - very much a product of what was allowed on TV back then. But gorgeous all the same.

Elliot is a good person, but he is a hot-head with a short fuse.

After all is said and done, I'm surprised Paul didn't get knocked on his ass by more than one person in Peyton Place.
He seems quite creepy. And why is he spending time out of school with a student (Allison). Hmmm
A 30 yo teacher hanging our with a teenage HS student! She was still in HS and only taking a class at college.
And didn't he say at the beginning of the episode that he forgives Alison despite that she didn't do anything?

They were sort of friends. I think Betty was always a little jealous of Allison, or as Allison said, the idea of Allison.
@@suki44883 You're right, of course; that slight jealousy always came between them being close friends.
@@Modguy61 Seems to me, no one in Peyton Place had really close friends.
@@suki44883 Missed chances from producers/writers.
Hate to admit it but Allison can be annoying sometimes with all her questioning. So what if Paul gave Elliot a lift! How is that unusual?!

Allison is quite boring. Do not understand why so many men were fascinated with her.
Because they themselves were boring as well.
Young, slim, blonde, pretty. It’s the way of the world. No mystery.
She is a sly fox and she reads a lot of love stories from her mother's.
'her mother's book store.
Why aren't Ryan O'Neal and Barbara Parkins introduced in the opening credits? They've got major storylines.
Love her berat
