The Dream sculpture St Helens

The sculpture is situated on the old Sutton Manor Colliery.
A group of ex miners worked with The Spanish artist to create the Dream.
The name was chosen because of its link between the miners dream of daylight whilst working underground and the dreams of a young person dreaming of a better future.
The base of the sculpture represents the "tally"that the miners took with them to identify themselves.
