      I know some people don’t like the continuation but I do hope they react
      to the 2019 film Code Geass: Lelouch of the Re;surrection
      it’s such a masterpiece and yes there are slight changes to the film so that it could move forward but it’s such a beautiful film and it shows more in depth the love that LELOUCH has and the ones
      who truly love him and that deserves a reaction on there channel after code geass the tv show ends ya know 🥰🥰

    One little detail which doesn't make it to the anime: when Bakugo says it's the way he was raised and it's okay and Shoto responds there has to be the other way (to deal with kids), we actually see a flashback panel from the Sports Festival Arc where Bakugo overheard conversation between Shoto and Deku about Todoroki's childhood. So Bakugo remembered that unlike him, Shoto was raised with a real violence. Right after that Bakugo says to him to go and show his right way. I think it's an important moment for Bakugo's character and says a lot about him

      @@haydenberends3905 Yeah. There are a lot of things that don't make it to the anime sadly. Not talking about big moment, but also those little details like expressions, callbacks and phrases which make the story even better

      Bakugo’s childhood has one too many implications of how he was raised with violence being the real cause of his crappy behavior and his unending drive to be the best. I can’t write it off as merely a joke even with the way the show portrays it. He seems much more compliant with that circumstance than Todoroki is. He thinks it’s normal while Todoroki has always known his circumstances are anything but. But things like the season 3 fight with Deku show it’s definitely not a joke and that’s it. Guy has a breakdown after his mom yells at him for being weak and causing the mess IN FRONT OF ALL-MIGHT. And now we know his whole aim for perfection and strength more comes from him trying to live up to his mom’s unrealistic expectations. Not just the overpraising of his teachers and peers. I’m not saying it’s not funny because these scenes are, but I wouldn’t write it off as “not real violence” either.

      I really wish they had kept that in the anime. It would have been a really interesting growth moment for my opinion of Bakugo tbh, I've seen all the way to season 6 but I still kinda dislike him. I dont hate him like I did in season 1 but I still dont like him much, that moment showing he genuinely listening and working with someone else because he actually realizes he wasn't correct and Todoroki might have had a point would have made me like him a bit more.

       Yeah bakugou's mom gave me vibes of "accepted" abuse the kind where people don't want to call it abuse because they grew up with similar parents and don't want to call them bad people but it's clearly affecting the child.

    To me, it seemed Endeavor's conversation with All Might was one of the first signs of him actually wanting to get better, not as just a hero, but as a person. Him choosing to "get down" on All Might's level, even after becoming number one, and trying to learn from him really surprised me.

    • @strawberryfox8819
      @strawberryfox8819 5 днів тому +1

      I mean, it certainly plays a part that he didn't become number 1 because he was better but because All Might was forced to retire. He didn't "earn" it like he wanted to and that sort of thing usually forces a person to sometimes question if what they did to achieve this outcome that they can no longer change was worth it. Was abusing Rei worth it? Was abusing his kids worth it? Was basically killing his child through neglect worth it? Now he has to change because people didn't choose him as number one, they're stuck with him and he needs to live up to their expectations.

    We have a little mini arc with the provisional license crew! This arc is not talked about at all but it’s just one of my favorite slice of life parts in the story. Nighteye did say with his dying words that joy and laughter need to balance the sorrow for a bright future. And the story doesn’t hesitate to give us that when the Overhaul raid was nothing but high stress and LOTS of tears. And considering the nature of the previous arcs, I think this is what the doctor ordered.
    Inasa is trying SO hard to be friends with Todoroki after their falling out causing them to fail the previous test. And I love how Todoroki doesn’t miss a single thing Inasa says because he doesn’t want to disregard him again not only like he did before, but because he knows Endeavor did too. (Also this in my experience is a really good way to make friends with someone who is autistic like Inasa very likely is.) Todoroki tells Inasa not to force himself, but this is just such a fast revelation for him. How BAKUGO and Inasa get along (or more accurately Inasa doesn’t dislike him or have any issue with him) is beyond me. The most I got is that Bakugo is quick to criticize EVERYTHING and has a quick disdain for a good deal of things but doesn’t actively disregard it like Todoroki.
    Mera looks downright sadistic today. I more interpret his smile is “Let’s see how YOU like babysitting WAY too many children at once and having to watch every word you say. YOU having fun?!” Which is such a funny extension of him watching 1500 kids with super powers fight like their livelihoods are on the line for sport like it’s a Tuesday. Beautiful.
    Endeavor is a rotten dad. I will NOT shy away from that. But I ADORE the now running joke of him screaming SHOTOOOOO from a large distance like an overexcited parent on the sidelines of a game. Kinda guy who has to be escorted off the field for screaming at the ref. Healthy. And Inasa is just so happy to see him now!
    Soooo Camie. She was out for 4 days, had anesthetic in her blood, and Toga took her place for DAYS. She lost by Toga’s rules, CUPS of blood. Full CUPS. And she just bounces RIGHT back. And I’m going to assume that makes Deku’s HOPEFUL restraining order against her null and void. (Both hopeful he made one and hopeful that their investigation undid it.) Seriously Toga was a SUPERFREAK to Deku in that exam. And only Uraraka really got to process how freaked out he was when she was going through some major concerns of her approach to Deku being obsessive. (Which is ALSO because of Toga. The camp attack Uraraka got to see what ACTUAL obsession looks like. And she wondered if she had too much in common with Toga’s mindset…while not having anything CLOSE.) Just a reminder on the problems Toga specifically causes the cast. We NEVER find out what happened to Camie. For all we know she was kidnapped for a week and returned home afterward. (Which is unlike Toga, but she may have gotten an order not to kill Camie)
    Gang Orca goes full drill sergeant on the kids. And that mixes SO well with Bakugo, Todoroki, and Inasa. They can’t make any mistakes and wow Gang Orca can throw them FAR backhanded. All-Might can’t belt Bakugo anymore as much as I miss those days but I’ll take Gang Orca. Bakugo STILL doesn’t treat pros with any respect without very specific special cases, and talks to them just like anyone else. (Actually saying I’m not a fish turd is really tame now that I think about it.) Always works when you’re talking to your drill sergeant. If you’re in the military, call them “Dude” and swear openly. Tell me how it goes. (Please don’t send me the hospital bill. Because that’s your only reward trust me) And I laughed SO hard when Inasa said “Sir yes sir” to the wrong question.
    And what better way to get these VERY much so not built for kids personalities than have them babysit SEVERAL classes of kids. And we have a teacher who became an alcoholic because of her stress of taking care of them. I got SO scared for Inasa when I saw the kids hitting him. Thankfully he has an upper belt for the right purpose and the kids aren’t punching him where the sun don’t shine repeatedly. Armor or no, that’s still terrifying kids like these DON’T hold back. I’ll take him getting traumatized for life trying to encourage the kids correctly. Camie is having fun with ONE move winning over half the class, and the other irreparably ending her relationship with. And Bakugo now has kids running around with his grenades. Well our work here is done. Good luck Ms Teacher you can keep the hero gear they stole.
    And then we have the shocking conversation of Endeavor asking All-Might what does being a symbol mean. We’ve seen Mirio and Deku be symbols but Endeavor is CURRENTLY in the top spot. And he’s realizing he’s not as much of a deterrent as All-Might once was. (Saying nothing of his prime. Jeez Endeavor, baby steps. That’s a 60x gap to cross you got NOTHING.) The crime rate is increasing and while Endeavor is the most efficient hero in solving cases and incidents, AND he’s all 4 hero classes, he can’t just continue from where All-Might did. And Endeavor is genuinely concerned about what he can do. So what’s the answer?
    Watch Bakugo give us more insight into how HE was raised. It’s always a joke with how his family is just wildly dysfunctional but now we’ve kinda seen the effects of that. Mitsuki Bakugo single handedly caused his guilt about All-Might and she literally whacked that information into him RIGHT IN FRONT OF ALL-MIGHT HIMSELF. (She word for word beat the info into him that caused Deku and Bakugo’s season 3 fight. His doubts in that fight are VERBATIM what she said to him that episode) And now we got…Bakugo implying Mitsuki had kids throw rocks at him because he was the boss kid when he was their age to show he isn’t the top of anything. Wow. That is both hilarious as an idea because Bakugo is the ultimate crappy little kid. (His active bullying days are STILL really hard to watch) But the more lines like this that sneak in the show WITH the direct effect following that, it’s starting to get harder to laugh at the joke. I’m also looking at Mitsuki and asking what did you do to your kid?! We MAY have had the wrong idea on the effect on the overpraising on Bakugo as a kid in season 1, when there’s the counterweight of Mitsuki doing the opposite. It genuinely just changes the whole game.
    Also remind me to use my chin like that when I want to be demeaning to someone else’s opinion. That’s a totally natural human motion you got going on there Bakugo. And in fairness, he was right. Todoroki’s idea is LITERALLY trauma-dumping. OH GOD NO.
    But now we got Endeavor actually showing how much he’s understood about this job and what has changed. He understood all along All-Might was 1000 times the hero he is. And because he reached HIS peak he saw how ahead All-Might really was. Endeavor solved more incidents but there isn’t a single conversation or debate if Endeavor COULD take All-Might’s place. The IMMEDIATE response is he’s no All-Might. He can’t replace him. And All-Might says yeah. But we’re not the same person. In order to be the icon All-Might is known as, he turned down so much help that was being offered to him to stand almost completely on his own. Saying nothing of Nighteye, All-Might’s FAMILY is a big unknown. We know that Gran Torino and Nana were more or less his family, and he pretty much left behind his birth family to accept them and his new responsibility. (Which fair. Endeavor will never have to be AFO’s number 1 target.) To Endeavor with his methods looking at All-Might so like directly looking at the sun. We all like the sun appreciate what it does, and we know it got to where it was in sheer chaos. And we see Endeavor looking directly at the sun and we say why would you do that? It’ll blind you and hoping to reach it won’t happen in your lifetime! But it’s almost as if Endeavor is beating himself up for not noticing the sun was burning out and can’t be an eternal constant.
    And finally we got the kids basically having the breakdown they do because their parents are talking politics around their kids and since heroes the essential highest authority is a failure to them, so too is everyone else. And Shishikura tries to break down to them that showing the kids they ARE all but unstoppable and above them is stupid, and letting them win is stupid. In the most UNLIKELY team up of commentary with Present Mic. So….good luck on that decision making!
    This episode is really cute and chaotic. REALLY like looking at Endeavor. And that teacher really needs a therapist and I feel SO stressed out watching her freak out. Getting Camie is also a huge win. Won’t complain on getting all these characters back, and love how they expand on old problems getting worse when they’re neglected. And that’s the overall coverage of this episode.

    So have an MS studied behavioral psychology and while it maybe upsetting to hear Bakugo is kinda right... he's wrong in the exact execution of violence and force
    Children of that age are on average so underdeveloped they are closer to a primal animals than an fully developed person... and each child develops at a different rate, this is why no singular parenting method works for all kids
    In this case Montana's anti corpal punishment stance is more likely to see those kids end up in jail than becoming heros... something we're actually seeing today

    • @relic5752
      @relic5752 19 днів тому +3

      "These studies provide the strongest evidence available that physical punishment is a risk factor for child aggression and antisocial behaviour. "
      Source: Physical punishment of children: lessons from 20 years of research, by PhD Joan Durrant and MSW Ron Ensom
      The above study shows a distinct correlation between anti-social behaviors and corpal punishment. So no, it is not "what we are seeing today."

    • @andrewcook2625
      @andrewcook2625 18 днів тому

      @@relic5752 so its a great study to read but its actually wrong, 95% of all children studied already had predisposition to anti-social behavior, temperament issues, and addiction.
      Easy example was one of the boy's father in the study was an alcoholic and had anger control issues... psychology has identified that both temperament and addiction are more attached to your genetics than any external factor ... so whether or not he was spanked played little role in his behavioral issues, he more than likely was going to have them regardless... but part of corpal punishment is education. Training and teaching the child while feeling urges is normal, acting on then maybe wrong and the acting on your urges may lead to punishment
      So while yes it provides a risk factor there are far more risk factors than just spanking ... what most people who are anti spanking did was fail to realize is 1) correlation is not causation as you just did, and 2) that each child is different and while Tommy might need a spanking, Jeff needed a hug, sussy needed a stern look and Becky just needs to be talked to
      The harsh reality is nearly every study on corpal punishment is wrong (both those anti spanking and pro spanking), they all have errors in census bias, confirmation bias, sanple size, or even just framing... to actually have an accurate study on "spanking" would require over tens of thousands of children but would be so unethical you will never see it happen
      And as I said in the orginal comment, we are actively observing a spike in violent behavior in children, as well as anti social behavior, and even addiction in some cases... especially compared to 20-30 years ago... so we can say with good certainty that the study wasn't accurate from a societal level

    There is nothing wrong with a little disciplinary spankings, you just can't go to far. Kids who had spankings but didn't get actually beaten they grow up having more respect than other people

      If by respect you mean more antisocial and anxious then you're correct. There's no correlation between respect and corporal punishment. There is, however, correlation between increased levels of aggression, anxiety, distrust, etc and physical punishments such as spanking.

      As someone who’s study childhood development physical discipline should be used as an extreme last resort. It’s long term effect vastly out weights its short term effect, and in many instances will cause the opposite intended effects.

      Has she ever even explained what happened with her dad to make her hate him so much? And seemingly not care to resolve anything that happened.
