This is an inspiring story and shows the importance of a Pride game. However, I wonder if Sydney should find another team for a Pride game. Since Ross Lyon came back STK can even muster a Pride guernsey for the game. Their AFLW team has one. But the best the men's team can muster is: socks. Not even socks with a STK logo. Just rainbow socks you can buy at a store (they're not even for sale on the STK store). In addition, this year, there were no STK pride themed flags in the crowd. So, it's clear that STK is not committed to this.

The flip side story of this - that children deserve a mother and father - is not being told. There are too many stories of the pain of children in that situation. Why would their stories be silenced? Are they not valuable people? Why would football be leveraged to do this one-sided presentation?
